Got my bridesmaids dress cut to above the knee from floor length and dry cleaned here. Thank god I tried on the dress before taking it home. The hem was all uneven!! The underskirt layer was longer than the sheer overlayer. I am very lucky I have the time to get them to fix it before the wedding. I'll update tomorrow (Monday) when I go to pick my dress up. I really hope it's been fixed! Update: I went back Monday and the back of the dress was about an inch longer than the front. So, I had to leave the dress yet again to be fixed. If I had not brought my dress in about a month earlier than it needed, I would be in serious trouble right now. I have lowered my rating of this place from a two star to a one star. Update: Wednesday. The dress finally looks functional but is not perfect. The hem lines are not straight. I would recommend people going anywhere else but here to get anything done by the seamstress. I just don't have to time to get the dress fixed some more, and I don't have enough length left to get the hem fixed to how it should be. AVOID THIS PLACE! read more

The staff is very friendly and they do a quality job. I've been numerous times and rarely have any issues. They might miss the occasional broken button on a button-down, but are quick to fix any small issue like that. Overall I feel that this cleaners offers consistently good results. TWICE BURNED. NO MORE. Just had my second unpleasant encounter with Dutch Boy Cleaners on Thousand Oaks. I'll just tell you my experience. Judge for yourself. First, the good news: Dutch Boy does a good cleaning job. Haven't been disappointed in the end result. One star. That's it. Conversely, moved to SA in 2016. Shipped my down sofa; took slip covers to Dutch Boy upon recommendation. When I brought in my slip covers (six large cushions, two pillows, two arm covers), the professionals at DB did everything they could to DISCOURAGE me from cleaning these goods. Yes...I had already tested a large swatch (ink, food, olive oil). Yes...I'd had them cleaned before. Knew what to expect, but was prepared to accept a less than perfect outcome and/or some shrinkage (about which DB was concerned). When I explained the covers had been cleaned before, they reluctantly accepted them and had me sign a "waiver" that would take them off the hook. Not a problem. Just would have liked a little more "collaboration" (you know...customer service) to get this job done well. Instead...just got a LOT of push-back. ~$100. Net result worth it. Headache? Not so much. Just 12 months later, I took in the same slip covers, signed the waiver...ready to go. Just picked them up; good results. At the same time, however, I took in a queen-sized duvet cover and regular-sized pillowcases. No quote; I should have asked. I DID specifically designate WASH and light starch...not dry clean. When I picked them up today...those three pieces cost me nearly $61! (And they generously knocked off $5...uh, less than 10%). When I asked if that was the LAUNDRY price or the DRY CLEAN price, DB explained they're the same price...and they only do what's called for on the label. Uh, they didn't. And they didn't listen to my instructions. They dry cleaned. The labels say, "100% Cotton. Machine Wash Warm.". In short...my experience with DB customer service: ABYSMAL. CRAZY over-priced. Voting with my dollars...DB gets NOTHING from me any more. Just sayin'. read more

Wow. The customer service here is so amazing. Specifically Mr. Billy Scott who has been the representative I've worked with (210) 262 1738. I've only been using them for a month and I'm never switching to anyone else. I called a few other places to shop around and other places gave me a robot or didn't pick up but I got an actual person when I called this place. Billy Scott has been excellent with getting my laundry delivery set up and responding when I tell him something is missing a button or I had a spill. I even let him know that I got a piece back with a broken button and he said he will take it back and fix it plus give me a small credit for the inconvenience. I don't leave many reviews but I felt obligated to give this location my thumbs up for the customer service they've offered me thus far. I just need to rave about the seamstress on duty at this particular Dutch Boy location at the end of September 2016. I don't have much dry cleaning at all, so even though the clerks I did interact with were great, this is only about the professionalism of the seamstress whose name I'm afraid I've forgotten. I took in four tops, two casual, two a little dressier, to be shortened. She took pains to make certain she had the perfect thread colors on hand before she accepted them. A week later I picked them up and I was so impressed. I almost thought she hadn't touched them, but they were obviously shorter, as I had requested. The hems were so professional I still can't get over it. Their sign says "seamstress on duty" (or words like that), and I recommend her and hope she is there for some time to come. read more
