I've had good experiences here. In most cases the staff is very friendly helpful. To date I have had shirts cleaned here hundreds of times. On occasion a shirt gets misplaced or separated. When something is wrong with the order, the staff does not offer much consolation. After finding the garment I finally hear an explanation of responsibility. I would like a little more credibility when there is a discrepancy in the order. They have a very good system that minimizes loss and error. Simply letting me know they'll look into it would be adequate. Every garment has eventually made it home. I provided her with an HEB receipt coupon for 30% discount and I asked her what the total was with the coupon and again she said it was $10.60 with the coupon. I had no time to argue and tell her I can do math and you discounted nothing, I just thought they earned this bad review. I had to ditch my previous cleaner. I discovered Comet Cleaners out of necessity. My previous cleaner was starting to slip. My clothes were not properly cleaned. I started to think they were just pressing the clothes without cleaning them. Comet, so far, has been good to me. I guess you get what you pay for. Comet will make you pay though. Comet is significantly more expensive than my previous cleaner. But there are ways to make the prices more reasonable. They offer military/first responder discounts. Also you can get a 30% discount coupon from the back of your H-E-B receipt. They do a great job cleaning and pressing clothes. They are high-tech, they send you a text when your clothes are ready for pick-up. They also tag your clothing with a tiny barcode for tracking purposes. So no more lost articles or clothing or annoying paper tags to rip off. read more

Within a couple of hours, I received a call from a gentleman from Comet's corporate office who apologized several times for the length of time is has taken to resolve this issue. I love Comet Cleaners! Back in October, they did an amazing job at pressing/cleaning my bridesmaid and wedding dress! Being on a budget, I learned that they are way more affordable than other quotes I had received. I learned that this was the main store location with a huge plant behind the building. Carla and staff were super friendly and informative about in store specials which are automatic everyday. Store smells and looks fresh and clean, lots of clothes on their racks (I read from the google that it's a sign to look for). Fast Forward- i now use the home delivery services and it's freaking FREE! It's been 2 months now and it's been such a time saver with all the horrible traffic! Cannot recommend enough! read more

My second time going here I went to pick up my husbands garments, counted them and went home. Later that night I noticed his white shirt full of dust luckily it was able to be rubbed off but the really disappointing part was that out of 6 dress shirts they only pressed the sleeves on 1 shirt, I dont know why, of course I wanted all of them pressed as any dry cleaner would regularly do. I wish I would have checked before taking them out of the establishment. For the fairly high prices they have I would not have expected this. Now I'll have to find a new cleaners. I rarely use cleaners but for my sons JROTC suit, I decided to take it to them for cleaning to preserve the suit and shirt as much possible. My spouse dropped off my son's uniform on Friday and he picked it up on Monday. Neither of us noticed a rust looking stain the size of a drop that looked like it dripped on my son's shirt right under the right corner of the collar, until Tuesday morning when we handed it over to my son and that was the first thing that caught his eye. He was furious because he knew that stain was not there before. I reached out to the cleaners via email about the stain first thing Tuesday morning. We were asked to take the shirt back and they would clean it. When my spouse picked up the shirt, the reps were rude to him, stated they couldn't remove the stain they caused and went on to further say my son or one of us probably stained it after getting his uniform from them. My son hadn't even worn the uniform when he noticed the stain and brought it to my attention. Save your money and go elsewhere. Really bothered by the way my spouse was treated when he picked up the shirt. Would've understood and preferred a sincere apology vs. them leaving a white stain or hole on the shirt to remove the stain they caused. Their pettiness and rudeness was very unnecessary. By far, a bad experience. Now I'm going to get stuck paying for that shirt over someone else's mistake or lack of professionalism. I just used Comet Cleaners for the first time. We dry cleaned 3 jackets. While they were unable to have the jackets ready by the quoted time, the manager Jessica was extremely kind about everything. She went above and beyond to ensure that we received the jackets by EOD. Jessica provided incredible customer service, was professional and handled the unfortunate situation perfectly. My son likes his shirts with extra heavy starch and they have always come back just perfect... starched very heavy. Last week I took 8 shirts in to be cleaned and starched, but when I picked them up they were very soft, hardly any starch at all. I called it to the clerks attention, she agreed they were not right and sent them back to be redone. When I picked them up yesterday, they were just the same...very soft, hardly and starch, sleeves didn't even looked pressed. I showed the clerk again , she said she would show them to her manager yesterday afternoon, and they would run them through for the third time and they would be ready today after 3:00. I just went to pick them up and was told the manager said that was as stiff as the can get them . I had brought a shirt that they had done 2 weeks ago that was starched very heavy, the clerk had no answer since she could plainly see the difference in the shirts, but I could come back Monday and talk to the manager. I am new to the San Antonio area and this place was close to my house. Dropped off 5 items, 4 of the items were cleaned and returned. The lady got my number wrong and when I went to pick up my dress she told me it was on the truck and to come back at 7. So I did and she told me it wasn't on the truck come back tomorrow. So I did and when I came back she told me there was discoloration on the dress and I needed to sign a consent form and then they would clean the dress, which would be 2 more days! She said she tried calling me but of course had the wrong number. Made several trips down there and she didn't even clean the one thing I needed cleaned most. No apology or nothing. read more

This made me nervous, because I needed to get my husband's suit cleaned, which belonged to his grandfather who has since passed away. After reading through the reviews for this location, however, I decided to take a chance and bring the suit here. I was impressed to read that they have taken the negative reviews to heart and improved their services (I deal with the online reviews for my sister's restaurant, so I take that kind of thing to heart!). I got a text message on my phone alerting me that his suit was ready, which was very convenient. When I got there, I realized I had forgotten my receipt. I told the woman behind the counter, and she said it was not a problem, that she could look up my account with just my phone number. Wow...very surprised this location has such a low rating. Maybe they are paying attention to comments here and are fixing the situation because my customer experience has been great. Latest example is my daughter's prom dress. I use their pickup/delivery service and called to make sure their were no issues once the bag I put outside my house was picked up. Xavier called me back within the hour and told me he had our bag, had the dress and it would be ready on Mon (normal for pickup/delivery service). He called me back on Sat and wanted to make sure it was ok that it might be delayed until late Mon because the dress has a lot of sequins and other stuff on it they didn't want to damage. He called me on Mon to let me know it would be ready but probably not until close of business. I told him no issues and I would pick it up Tues. He called me Tues morning to let me know it was ready and could pick it up at any time. Now, I've never had a business stay in touch with me that much over a single item...and they hadn't made any mistakes or trying to satisfy an angry or dissatisfied customer. This was just the service that Xavier provided to me and I am absolutely satisfied and will continue to use Comet Cleaners! read more

I am so proud to know that my exposing the horrendous experience that I had with Comet Cleaners was well worth the hassle. I found a new cleaners and was told that in the past month they acquired eight new customers that were previous customers at the Comet Cleaners Bandera location and when asked why they quit going there they said because of how Comet cleaners handled a situation with a customer who took custom draperies there to be cleaned and how Comet Cleaners destroyed them.
