Everyone always raves about Dutch Bros... believe it or not, I'd never been until very recently. The drive-through line is ALWAYS long whenever I'm driving by, so I'd never been tempted. But the day I went, I was close-by, wanted a pick-me-up and had the time. I loved that even though the line was long, it moved quickly. The menu is a bit intimidating at first, but I just remembered my coworker mentioning what their favorite was... Golden Eagle. When I drove up to the window, my first impression was "these people actually enjoy working here!" First time ever being to a Dutch Bros. They just opened here a couple of months ago and whenever I drive by on occasion I always glance to see how crowded they are. The car lines here are long - usually out their driveway and onto the access road. However when I arrived on a Thursday morning around 9:30, I was surprised to see only about a 6 deep car line. But being on a motorcycle, the drive-through didn't work for me, ha! I parked my motorcycle and walked up to their ordering window. Note: There is no indoor ordering or seating - this is strictly a walk-up or drive-through operation. Lindsey was a very nice, friendly, and energetic employee. She repeated my order and thanked me for dropping by. She's the type of person every employer wants representing their business. I ordered their Medium, Blended "Cocomo" 700 cal., $5.00. I was 5th in line at the walk up window and it was approximately a 15 minute experience from my walk up to my walk away with my drink. The Blended Cocomo was delicious! It had a nice blend of coconut and mocha taste in a cold environment, very refreshing and satisfying! I have to say it's been a long time since I had such an enjoyable drink. Went on opening weekend - the line was wrapped all the way backed up on the road closest the Walmart, so about sixty cars deep. They have two lines moving and have people out in the front a lot like Chick Fil A. You have to turn on that main road because of how busy it is, the police have taped off the way in as an exit only - just know that because I had to circle around. I've never had their coffee before today - but I've had friends RAVE about them - and I was not disappointed. The menu is online - it looks like they do energy drinks, freezes, and soda as well. I can't speak to those as I just got the coffee, the Irish kicker, and it was delicious plus only 4 dollars for a 16 oz with an extra shot. The staff was friendly - and I'm not sure how as they were literally roasting in the sun - and even though the line took a minute to get through, everyone was super nice. Whoa this was a totally negative experience. I used "order ahead" and when I got to the location (4 minutes after the time the app said it would be ready) I was told it wasn't done yet. More and more people kept coming for pre-orders and after 20 minutes, some started asking about drinks, refunds, etc. The person working the counter, who refused to give her name but said said "AB" would be enough, refused to let anyone speak to a manager and refused to refund anyone. This was all negative enough but then AB started SCREAMING to her co-workers, "IF YOU WANT COFFEE FAST, WHY WOULD YOU ORDER ON A SUNDAY??" First of all, waiting over 30 minutes (which I and others did) for one flipping coffee is not in any way, shape or form, fast. And expecting a coffee drink in under 30 minutes is not an unreasonable expectation. Especially when ordering ahead. But a SCREAMING employee who obviously hates her job and the people she's supposed to serve, along with poor performance by the entire location, really pushed this bad experience into one of the worst experiences I've witnessed at a retail location. And it's not like there was a line of cars - I counted and there were never more than 4 cars in line. This location is poorly run, not managed well, and staff (or at least AB) needs some serious re-training. read more

I was impressed with the customer service but unfortunately not with the coffee. I'd rate it less if the service wasn't so good. I also don't think I was given the iced coffee I wanted. I believe the coffee was supposed to have chocolate syrup mixed in and it did not. I was given an iced caramel latte? (I think?) Since it was my first time at a Dutch Bros., I looked at the menu a few days before going. I forgot the name of the drink I wanted. I explained it to the employee and he seemed to know what I was talking about. I wasn't able to finish the coffee, not even half of it. The coffee tasted a lot like Starbucks imo. I'd choose Starbucks over Dutch Bros. at this point, though. Only if I had to... I also bought a chocolate chip muffin. It doesn't look like the muffins we're all used to. It's called a muffin top and it has white frosting on top. It looked like something you'd buy out of a vending machine. It was wrapped in plastic. It's not what I expected. It tasted ok, definitely store bought. I wasn't able to finish it. I ate less than half. It was more of a soft cookie. They're opening one in El Paso sometime. I might try it again when it opens there. I would consider trying again in Las Cruces sometime. I'll update review if necessary. Maybe the other drinks taste better? The staff are wonderful. However, I was the first customer and wanted a simple Americano hot coffee. What I received was a lukewarm cup which had a bad taste. I've purchased them before with great serve and taste. However, today was a clear miss. If they are open then they should be ready to sell a decent cup of basic coffee. I'm tons of happy that Dutch bros opened here in Las Cruces. Best iced coffee in town now. I originally had my first Dutch bros back when I lived in Oregon and it was so rejuvenating. Finding out they were opening one up here, I was stoked. I love how they have a variety of drinks to choose from. If you're not feeling coffee, they have smoothie and lemonade options. Tried out Dutch Bros coffee, not understanding the hype, since I ordered the Double Eagle? Iced Coffee which they said was the most popular, it just tasted like a lot of milk and some coffee. I didn't get a receipt either, so no idea how much it was, they just charged my card, I had to leave quickly after ordering. I had to take my kids to use the bathroom at the Mister carwash (awesome clean bathrooms btw) nearby since this location is literally a shack with 2 windows, one for car ordering and one for walk up. I also ordered a strawberry smoothie and my kids didn't like it, which was very surprising. Oh well, chalk it up to another hyped up expensive coffee chain. read more

The line was pretty long but moved faster than DN stores I've been to in other places. The staff is so kind and they take the time to chat at the window if you get there and your order isn't ready. They are warm and friendly. And the drinks are BOMB. I get the iced, cinnamon swirl oatmilk latte. It's definitely a winner. A Dutchie in Las Cruces? How awesome is this, that I can get one on my way from Florence AZ to Santa Fe? The coffee was its usual perfect blend of heaven with just a smidge of sin thrown in for good measure. This place was so good. My first time ever and i had a nitro brew with half and half and vanilla inside. It was strong and delicious. The lemonade high life something drink was good for my husband too. We now know to take the time to stop at coffee shops like this. The employees were nice and they were on top of the drinks. I really think Dutch Brothers is stellar! I used to live where there are Dutch Brothers in the northwest. I was visiting there earlier this summer and would come to town just for Dutch Brothers every morning. The mafia asked me if I was a regular and I explained my affair with Dutch Brothers over the years. The one in Las Cruces had just barely opened and I was ecstatic to be able to get Dutch Brothers coffee here and I told them how excited I am to be able to get it here. I've tried quite a few of their offerings including hot and iced. I have not tried any drinks blended yet nor have I tried any of their pastries however. I plan to in the future. My personal drink favorites are in the Dutch Classics menu. I like the Cocomo and 9-1-1 hot I especially enjoyed their App. I am able to "Load " my "Dutch Pass account and add money to the app so I pay for my drinks with it. Using the app allows me to earn points towards free drinks. Points add up pretty quickly every visit. I highly recommend the app. It's the way to go if you visit regularly or not. I like Dutch Brothers so well that this is my favorite coffee stop. You owe it to yourself to try it atleast once. read more

Every order is a face to face experience as their order takers wait outside and take your order directly at your car window. Definitely get the app to see the whole suggested menu as they basically have every flavor add on possible it seems. As a side note it is ALWAYS a long wait regardless of drive thru or walk up window but worth the wait. Been going here since they opened and they're going downhill. Both mine and my girlfriend's drinks have not tasted how they should (been ordering these drinks for a year). Workers are not line busting as they used to, they come out last second to take your order with an attitude or make you wait until you get to the window to order despite long lines. This coffee was a thousand times better than the other name brand coffee in town. So we've been there a few times. I was a bit put off by the young people working there who did not wear masks during the mandate. But we recently went there during a slow period, and the order takers were too involved with their friend in his/her car in front of us, who had a dog in the back seat. They spent several minutes (both people from both lanes) laughing and joking with the person (s) in the car and petting the dog over and over again. Meanwhile, the cars in front of this one already got their drinks and drove on. Other cars were pulling up in the lane beside us and one of the order takers went over to take care of them, leaving us sitting behind the dog people....as this order taker continued on petting the dog and laughing with the people... again, for several minutes longer. We don't patronize people or places that treat us like sh**. So we left and the dumb girl didn't even notice (or care) that we were leaving. Rude rude rude.... and about as dumb as they come. Totally oblivious. The idea was not to be in line for an hour. Well, I guess whether there's a line or not, they make sure that you still have to wait. Or is it just us :O I've never seen ANYONE at ANY restaurant mull over anyone else like that... even if they were friends or family... they make a point of cutting it short and getting on with their WORK. Man oh man were we disappointed this past Saturday. We were stopping here on the way to the lake. Got there about 10:30ish AM. We tried the drive thru line this time since the front window took forever the last 2 times we have came and guess what? We STILL were in drive thru line for 45 minutes. Again, yes, 45 MINUTES! And, the main disappointment, neither of the 2 drinks we ordered tasted like anything! I had a coconut blend drink and I couldn't taste one bit of coconut, and that's a hard taste to miss! Both drinks were so bland, made us super sad that we waited all that time for crappy drinks. Guy at the drive thru window liked to talk. We pulled up and the first thing he said was "let me check to see if they are making your drinks" Ummmm we have been in line for 45 minutes! I surely hope they are making our drinks (should have already been made by the time we pulled up to the window!) Ugh I so want to love this place because they do have good selection of drinks but WOW, every single time we have came has been EXTREMLY SLOW! read more
