All the staff are very friendly and upbeat . . . loud music pumping from the speakers . . . it's more of a party than anything. When there is a long line at the window, the staff run out to the cars beyond and take orders so when you get to the window, your drinks are ready. It's definitely an indulgement to get a specialty coffee as they are a little pricey (except for $3 happy-hour), but I allow myself one every couple of weeks. The coffee may not be pretentious coffee connoisseur quality, but it's a nice change from Starbucks. Also, their customer service is amazing. Every time I come here the workers are so awesome. Any problems with your order and they will attempt to remedy it right away. Their recommendations are usually spot on. It's definitely a thing to do if you ever find yourself in the area. I've been going to this location for MANY, MANY years. Tonight there was a long line. Not on my side. I entered from the lemon Street side and when I got up to get my order the girl taking the order said that I cut the line But she said it's not a big deal and I'm like "well I was all I saw was one car in front from the other side around the corner so I didn't think I was cutting" and I am thinking if it's not a big deal then why even say anything. She said she's not a line police or anything so I'm thinking then don't act like one. She really pissed me off a lot by even saying that because the way it works is that if one car goes in from one side, the other car from the other side goes in. That's how it went tonight. Dutch Brothers, at least the one on Rural, is the type of place that needs to be written about at length in every business and marketing journal in the country. There is literally nothing that I know of about this place that isn't absolutely perfect. First and foremost: the people. I can buy coffee almost anywhere...Cartel, which has *outstanding* coffee, is about two blocks from my house, but I still go to Dutch almost every morning on my way to work. Why? Because the people that work there are some of the nicest people I've ever met. They remember my order every. single. day. and they almost always have it ready for me in the 30 seconds it takes me to walk from my Jeep to the window. Oh, and the coffee? Absolutely outstanding. I've stopped buying Starbucks coffee ever since Dutch Bros came to the Valley. Better tasting, cheaper, friendlier service are the reasons why. And with double stamp Tuesdays, it's much quicker to get a free cup of Joe! I have to strike off one star though since none of their outlets have air conditioning, which is brutal in the summer/monsoon. But, the coffee does go some way towards making up for it! read more

It's been a few months since I've been to this location. I pulled in last week on my way to work to get coffee for myself and a coworker. Nick and Heidi are still working the morning shift and I remembered them but I didn't expect them to remember me. I placed my order and both of them asked me how I was doing and that it had been a while since I was in and they called me by name!!! Yes, almost 4 months since I was in and they still knew my name! And the fact that they are still both working there must mean something right?? Turnover at other places is high. So I figure they must get paid ok and treated ok by the company but most of all I think they both truely enjoy their jobs. I have never seen either one of them without a smile on their face. They always have an awesome attitude no matter how busy it is. I wish they would bring a Dutch Bros. out to the East Valley so I can get my fix on the weekend without having to drive to far.
