It's not 1 star because I do like the taste of their drinks, and I'm also aware that the employees act the way they do, because they're instructed to do so. With that being said, it's alright to ask a customer how their day is going, if they have any plans, blah blah, it's harmless. However; when it's clear that they're doing that just to get a tip, it becomes a nuisance. Don't try to butter me up because you know you're going to put that iPad in my face with the usual "it's just going to ask you a quick question", please spare me the fake manners. Especially when they IMMEDIATELY switch up in attitude the moment you hit no tip. It's one thing to ask for a tip if you're out in the hot sun walking up to cars, that's the only time I consider giving it if the personality doesn't seem too fake. But if I'm walking up to the window, or if there's no line and I drive straight up to the window to place my order, do not put that iPad in my face. Dutch bros needs to change the way they do this, these folks have gone from perceiving tips as compensation for exceptional service, to expecting it as a baseline. You are doing your job, you are working the legal wage you accepted when you signed to apply for the position. Do not play me for a fool and assume just because you asked "what I'm getting into today", that I'm suddenly going to feel obliged to give you free money, that's not how human interactions work. If the employees not walking up to my car, they need to not ask for a tip, Dutch bros needs to instruct their employees of this. If I didn't enjoy the coffee and if I didn't believe they were instructed to do this, I'd rate it one star and never come back. However, I know that's not the case. The crew working the evening of May 21 was the BEST EVER, from beginning to end. I don't normally clown around when ordering anything in drive-thru, but thanks to a dare from my passengers I humiliated myself and placed our order in baby talk (and couldn't keep a straight face doing it, either!). The crew running the joint tonight was laughing as hard as I was and upon redeeming my birthday drink reward they made an extra special treat for me which of course was icing on the proverbial cake. I greatly appreciate the good humor of the employees as I slipped into a widdle bit of unexpected madness this evening and I truly thank them for playing along. I tried this coffee shop at two different locations in Yuma. Conceptionally, it's the most unintelligent drive-up I've seen. There are two drive-up lines that merge into one, just short of the window. This leads to customers jockeying or position, and the chances of them trying to give you somebody else's order is about 99%. I don't know what they were smoking when they decided on this design. The double lanes combined with 'who's on first' orders' results in excessively long wait periods until they get the order sorted out. Bottom line, if you want to get caught up on reading a novel, or paying your bills from your smart phone, this is a great place to go. Otherwise, you may want to order your coffee from Italy, because it most certainly will arrive sooner. ‍ read more

I'll be honest, sometimes (like yesterday) my drink doesn't come out good. I actually tossed my drink yesterday. However, usually they make their coffee very good. I'm sure they would've remade my drink but I was in a hurry. I'm still giving them 4 stars! Their service is awesome, the broistas are all so friendly and seem like genuinely nice people. Yesterday we visited the store at Big Curve in Yuma and my husbands drink was NOT what he ordered. On the way home we stopped at our usual store on Fortuna Rd to get him another one. I love love love Dutch Bros it's the best. I went through when I was in Oregon and wished there was one in Arizona. Now Prescott and Prescott Valley have one. Love the service and love the coffee, green tea and Mango smoothies. Yuma has one right around the corner from my aunts house so I don't get to miss out. Visiting from Colorado and, while all of my Dutch Bros experiences have been good, this one was definitely the best. My peppermint bliss cold brew was delicious as always, but the star of this visit was our Broista Nathan. We missed the person taking orders, so we had to wait and Nathan kept us entertained the whole time. He was a wonderful conversationalist, recommended the nitro (which we tried, delicious), and made us laugh more than once. When I visit my grandmother in Yuma again, I'll definitely be stopping back by this Dutch Bros. Thanks Nathan, and congrats on the mini fridge! read more

I don't know where to start.. My wife and I just moved to town, and we have been getting coffee from our local Dutch Bros everyday. There's one particular person working there that's really detoured us from wanting to make another visit. It sucks, because the location is ideal - real close to our home. Long story short, the broad is expressingly disrespectful to my wife and then she'll be extra nice and too friendly with me - very flirty. I can't believe how she'll do it right in front of my old lady and after being rude with her. Unbelievable. I hardly ever go with my lady to get her coffee, because the chick working there makes me feel so uncomfortable. It happened again, today.. And now my older kids are talking about it, too. Wtf. I told my wife - that's it. I'm driving you across town for coffee. F this place. I know still probably go sometimes even though I told her not to. I won't take her there anymore, though. Great drinks but a little over the top on the service. I know these days businesses strive to please their customers and hope they have a pleasant experience but wow Dutch Bros, you guys need to chill just a smidge. Not saying your doing bad at all but cool off on the drive up window interactions. I feel as if I'm being forced to tell you where I'm going, what I do, what time I'm leaving my job, how many kids I have, where I'm from, and the list goes on and on. People just want their drinks and they don't want to be bothered. Interactions may be for some people like the god awful snowbird drivers who nearly take out 10 people a day, but interactions are not for most... people want to be in and go about their day. The one place that does it best is in-n-out. They great you with a smile, repeat the order, and kindly tell you it'll be out shortly, give you the food and tell you to have a good day. PERFECT!
