I seriously wouldn't mind running into them again. They were faces that I actually looked forward to seeing when I got off work. They brought me light in a dark place. So I am truly grateful for the officers there who actually treated me like a human being and didn't treat me like a throw away. They charged my debit card $133 twice, claiming a widespread system error. I was told approximately 30 people were also affected by the error made by the office of the state. Basically they made me feel like a number and after almost two weeks they have not returned my money, nor have they given me any definitive timeline of when I will get refunded from the double-billing against my card. As a local business owner here in Las Vegas, I'll be the first to say this is bad business. The only reason I am not giving one star is because the office manager Gigi Cervantes has promised me that I will be moderately compensated, per her discretion, because the state decided to take an interest-free loan for half a month from me without my permission. Be careful folks. Their technology is very poor, however the people in this office are alright to deal with. My suggestion, if you go here, is to pay with your credit card so you don't have any personal liability when this office holds your hard-earned dollars hostage and steals your money indefinitely.

It's hard enough the financial strain…read moreon your family going from being a provider to being useless but if you think you will be treated with dignity and respect when you need to turn to the SSA after years of paying into it, you are DEAD wrong. The people who work here despise you. They do not want to help you. They will hang up on you if you have too many questions. They have an attitude from the moment they answer the phone because they do not care about you and if you hint any frustration with the way THEY treat YOU, they are hanging up on you. I didn't know it at the time but was later diagnosed autistic, I sometimes need a little more clarity on certain things or written instructions. They do not like this because they do not like to be helpful and compassionate and will get frustrated with you for needing something repeated because to them YOU ARE NOT a HUMAN being, you are just some bum trying to get government assistance and that is how these people specifically at this office will treat you. It's too bad but this is the reality of being disabled in America. My case has been denied. I lost everything, my apartment, my car, my family because I couldn't get any help from these people. I pray that God helps these people find some grace inside themselves and learn human compassion. And I pray for the disabled that need help during hard times. Just be sure to book your appointment online! The appointment slots open I think exactly one week in advevery Monday (I'm not 100% sure on that though, and the time slot optionsare very limited and fill up quickly. If you can snag an appointment, it's one of the easiest and smoothest places to get passports done, especially with kids. Most recently, we used one of the multipurpose rooms here for a homeschool class event, hosted by an employee from the Las Vegas Natural History Museum for an ocean life class. I really love that the museum does that and we've always had great experiences with classes like this brought to us. Overall, this is a fantastic library for so many reasons, not just for checking out books, but also for community events, meeting spaces, and passport services. We've had nothing but great experiences here!

The library is always clean and welcoming, there are beautiful art displays throughout, and there are plenty of comfortable areas to sit, read, study, or work on a laptop. Unfortunately, today the noise level was honestly surprising. There were groups of kids and teenagers playing games on the computers, talking loudly, yelling, and using pretty inappropriate language. It got to the point where I had to put my headphones in just to focus on my work. What was most disappointing was that staff didn't seem to address the noise, and I didn't see any security around during my visit. I completely understand that libraries are community spaces and don't need to be completely silent, but there should still be a reasonable expectation that people can come here to read, study, or work without excessive noise. I'm hoping today was just an unusually loud day because I've always liked this location. I'll probably give it another try in a few weeks, maybe once school is back in session. It really is a beautiful library, I just wish the environment today matched the peaceful space it's meant to provide.

Instead, I find a queue wrapped around the building like the bread line outside a 1962 Minsk grocery store. Babushkas in housecoats. Grown men clutching Priority Mail boxes like they're smuggling defense secrets. Nobody speaks. Nobody smiles. Somewhere, a crow caws ominously. The building does not open at 8:30 AM. The building considers opening at 8:30 AM, deliberates on it internally, consults the Politburo, and then -- MAYBE -- cracks the door at 8:37, releasing a smell like a meat locker that lost power during a heat wave. I do not know what they are storing back there. I do not want to know. I suspect it predates the Cold War. Once inside, you are assigned a number and a fate. Speak out of turn, sigh too loudly, or make prolonged eye contact with an employee, and you are sent to the back of the line -- or, if the postal worker's mood is sufficiently sour that day, to what longtime patrons here simply refer to as "the Gulag Line," a mythical second queue that may or may not loop through a supply closet and back out into the parking lot. I came here today for one reason: to find out what happened to FOUR -- count them, FOUR -- letters I mailed over a month ago. Two to comrades in New Jersey. Two here in Vegas. My poor babushka has not received her money. My vendors are calling me daily, demanding payment, assuming I have simply vanished into the Nevada desert like a man who owed the wrong people money. I have become, through no fault of my own, an international letter-smuggling fugitive in the eyes of my own family. The clerk -- no name tag, obviously, they don't want to be identified by the tribunal later -- informed me with the warmth of a Siberian wind that "mail sometimes takes time" and that there was "nothing to track." Comrade, I don't need reassurance. I need Interpol. I need a forensic mail accountant. I need to know if my letters are lost, stolen, or currently being read aloud at a KGB holiday party. Pros: Excellent cardio from standing for three hours. Free character development. Cons: My rubles -- er, dollars -- are missing. So is my faith in the postal system. She is definitely on point with kindness, smiling, bubbly personality, and super helpful. I spent a total of maybe three minutes in there tops. It was the fastest I've ever been in and out of a post office. They have a section for cards and packages like every other post office. Everything looked nice and neat. Affordable mailing. I mean everything goes up within inflation so prices vary. Definitely the best service I've ever received from a post office.

This has to be the worst post office I ever went to…read more If you need any USPS services don't go to this location. Who would think a post office would not be able to make a return label for a package? The person at the window also refused to make a regular label for my box because I had not fully taped it yet-I brought tape with me to finish after getting a return label which she couldn't do. The line was about 15 people long which is fine, it happens because there were only 2 windows open. There was a woman at one window who was chatting it up with the employee as she was browsing for stamps she might want in a large plastic bin, the kind you use to store stuff. By this time the line was literally out to the front doors. Several people in line suggested letting her browse stamps off to the side and let the line move and the employee said no, she can hold us all up as long as she wants. She bought $2.80 worth of stamps after all that. The upside of my wasted hour was that I tried Pirate Ship when I got home. Not only was it easy to use but I saved several dollars and was able to print a return label which does not get charged until the person on the other end actually uses it. In addition, the chat support is super friendly and helpful unlike the post office.
