I'm writing this review to share my experience and help others navigate the walk-in passport process more efficiently. If you're planning to go during the current walk-in hours (Saturdays, 9 AM to 12 PM), here's what you need to know: 1. Come prepared - Have your forms filled out correctly, with all required documents and copies in hand. They check everything before adding you to the list. 2. Arrive early - Plan to get there between 4-6 AM for a real shot at getting on the list. They only accept 12-15 walk-ins, and if you're not on it, you're sent home. 3. Bring a chair and entertainment - You'll be waiting for hours. A fold-up chair and something to pass the time will make a big difference (trust me, the floor gets uncomfortable fast). 4. For young kids - If the appointment is for a child, you can have someone bring them later after you've checked in, so they don't have to wait in line with you at the crack of dawn. Hope this helps you plan ahead and save some time. Good luck!

The line was long there was 3 people working, the cashiers took their sweet time. There was no Urgency to get through the line. Several people that walked in committed on how long it was and why it was taking forever. They had majority of envelopes and package's stalked to send out your items. Cashier was quit she didn't seemed thrilled to be at work. They have a room that is separated for passports. There is a sign saying they are hiring. The price of sending out mail has went up again it seems like every 6 months another $2 plus dollars is added to sending out mail. It's so ridiculous I also send out mail almost weekly express over night and more then half the time it is late and I can pick up the money I spent to send it overnight, but that's the thing I want it to be on time and not 2 days that's like sending it through regular mail.

Darnell was so helpful and friendly. He walked over to a lady that needed to sit down due to her health and he helped her with the needed envelopes and address information. Then he called us over and we had time for a friendly chat. He helped me insure my package would be received by the end of June which was important to me. Then bade us a safe drive to our next destination. He was very thoughtful and I appreciated the kind words today.

    That's BS, 12 slots only

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews, everyone who works here is super nice and they have lots of parking.

From the usps in Summerlin can I send my a package to my son, roland who is the ceo for the teleguam communication co. using his dhl corporate account? please send answer asap, very urgent. really appreciated.

I don't know, but having used DHL when I lived in Asia the last many years (which is everywhere in Asia and barely anywhere in Las Vegas), I would think the USPS is not going to take care of your DHL package, regardless if it is corporate account or…

I came to this U.S. Post Office on behalf of my client, who is serving in the Army, because I needed to understand what documents I would need in order to handle a mail-related matter for him at another location. The clerk was rude, dismissive, and very difficult to communicate with. I was trying my best to understand the information she was giving me, but because of my accent and the way she was explaining things, I asked her several times if she could please repeat herself. I also asked if she could write the information down for me so I could make sure I understood exactly what documents I needed to bring. After I asked for the third time, she rolled her eyes, grabbed a piece of paper, and wrote something down so poorly that I still could not understand it. I then asked if there was any information online that I could read so I could make sure I had everything correct. She told me that she was the person trained and authorized to give me the information and that there was no information online. The problem was that I still could not clearly understand what she was telling me, and instead of patiently helping me, she made me feel like I was bothering her for asking questions. I became so uncomfortable and frustrated that I had to call my husband for help. I should not have to call someone else just to receive basic information at a U.S. Post Office. People who clearly dislike working with the public should not be in customer-facing positions at the U.S. Postal Service. A post office is a public service, and employees should be there to help people, answer questions, and treat every customer with basic respect and patience. No one should walk into a U.S. Post Office asking for help and leave feeling humiliated, dismissed, or afraid to ask another question. This was a very disappointing experience.
