When I first step into the bar I was amazing by the awesome displays on the walls, despite being a bright place of a bar, it is awesome! The lady that served me was super friendly and explained all the best item to choose from on the menu. I was sold on the slada that I ordered but the go to next time is get their BBQ pork sandwich and their Cuban. That for sure one of those will be my next. read more

Visited a couple times recently to meet up with a friend for lunch. We had Caesar salads and shared some buffalo wings both visits. Both of these items were just mediocre, although premium priced. Our second visit was worse than the first with salads that simply didn't have good quality lettuce. Service seemed fine, sodas and water were refilled while we ate. Eating out should be a great experience with prices as high as they are, this place doesn't hit that bar at all. read more

We were in Duvall recently and decided to have an early dinner at Duvall Tavern. They have a great outdoor seating which was a huge draw for us on a good day. We got Wings (DT Spicy Buffalo), Veggie Burger, and a side of fries. The Veggie burger was great, Wings were good, not as spicy as I hoped for. It's a super cute place. Staff is friendly. It didn't seem very busy for a Saturday brunch. A few tables inside, a few tables outside. It certainly wasn't packed, which would have been a reason for the super slow service. But it wasn't that busy and service was way slow. We had a table of 8 and they brought out 2 pizzas (not shared with the group) and then maybe 10-15 minutes later brought out food for the rest of the group. Didn't want to seem rude, so I sat while my pizza got cold so that I wasn't eating before the rest of the table. Big faux pas. My pizza was decent, nothing I would crave to come back for. My husband said his brisket with hash sucked. And he doesn't usually use that expression towards food. I totally loved the cute little downtown area, and would come back, just not to dine here. One time my brother's pretzel was moldy but we were ok because we got a discount and my brother was fine. The service is always so quick and when we finish they are always quick to let us pay! I had lunch here with a friend at her suggestion. It's got a great small town bar vibe to it on the inside which was clean. We sat outside on the patio as he weather was decent and there is lots of shade there. The waitress was nice, and the food wasn't bad but it wasn't really remarkable either. This place is a early as old as the town it's in, and is a great place to have a burger, beer, and low key meal. It's popular and like a lot of restaurants they could use another couple of bodies, so service speed varies a bit. But with a little patience, they don't disappoint. So many things went wrong!! I ordered chicken strips with fries, thinking nothing could go wrong with that, right? Boy was I wrong! The chicken strips were horrible. They weren't even as good as those dinosaur ones. I do have to say the french fries were good. My son ordered a chicken Caesar salad he was unable to finish that, because the chicken was chewy and not tasty at all. The dressing was more almost lemony instead of Caesar salad dressing, and the lettuce was more white than green yuck! Our other friend ordered a hamburger and he said it was OK. As we were getting ready to pay, a young couple was coming in with their kids, and they looked for a seat and they asked the waitress where to sit and she told them to go to a different restaurant! Best advice ever! I told the waitress there was water on the floor and she said oh I'll get that because I'll probably be the one to step in it and she never cleaned it up. Never cleaned it up at all. We had different waitresses. One took our order, one brought our food, it was it was crazy. I don't know how this place stays in business. Given that the tap list in nearly every bar in Washington State is 90% IPA's for some reason, I was stoked to see a bar that actually had a good variety. While they still have a good selection of IPA's, they also have a great selection of ales and lagers. Food is fantastic as well including some delicious burgers. Honestly, not great. The food quality/taste was decent. The Cuban sandwich tasted good but was very greasy. The fries were ok. The sweet potato fries were great. The burgers are really small, cost $15 and up, and don't come with fries. They look not much better/bigger than a McDonald's burger. On top of that, the staff was not friendly. Our server was more concerned with helping her friends switch tables than seating people standing and waiting for a table. This was our first time here but the second time our friends had been, and they said it was just as disappointing last time. We won't be back for a second try. read more

This is a wonderful place to eat lunch or dinner if you want to eXperience small town life. Duvall's population is around 9,000+ and the Duvall Tavern is so welcoming. The staff is always friendly and if the weather is right I highly recommend sitting outside on the patio. If you like seeing trucks and Harley motorcycles... come check it out. The Tavern Burger and fried pickles is a can't miss. Of course I always get the tots (extra crispy). A group of 8 stopped in here for lunch after a day of hiking. Free parking can be found on the street or in the park and ride. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Tabs were easily and accurately split. Duvall Tavern is family friendly so minors are allowed. Happy Hour is offered Monday-Friday from 3pm-6pm. Since it was sunny during our visit, we opted to sit outside. Outdoor seating is a mixture of picnic tables and fire pit tables. All tables are equipped with an umbrella to help block the sun. A nice variety of local draft and bottled beer is available. My wife and I chose Georgetown Bob's Brown Ale for $6, Mack & Jacks for $5.75, Post Doc Blonde for $5.75 and Irish Death (can) for $5. All tasty and refreshing on a hot summer day. We shared the Turkey Melt for $12: turkey, bacon, tomato, Havarti and honey mustard on Rosemary Focaccia bread. The menu only states Focaccia bread and fails to mention the rosemary. I enjoyed this sandwich (I like rosemary) but many in our group were dissatisfied (my wife included). It would be helpful to list Rosemary Focaccia on the menu since rosemary is a powerful herb. We chose the Tots as our side. The tots were perfectly crisp and tasty. I also ordered a Cup of the Soup of the Day (Cheddar Potato) for $4. The soup was ordinary and unsatisfying to me. Our server, Marilyn did a fantastic job serving us. We had her running constantly and she never once missed a beat. Marilyn also had a great sense of humor. Grew up visiting my family in Duvall and hadn't been to this spot in a lonnng time until a few years ago. Stopped in again today on our way home from hiking. My sister had the tacos and I had the turkey melt, both delicious and enough to take home for another snack later. But their service is such a hit and miss every time we come in we always doubt whether it's worth the effort. It's either average or terrible. Today was terrible. Came in to pickup a takeout order and there were two people at the counter, one counting money and another making drinks. I stood there for a few minutes before one looked up and then looked back down. Was surprised how long I was standing, then another waiter comes in and passes me. I thought "How long can I stand here before someone says anything?" 10 minutes later, the waiter that passed me asked if i had been helped and I laughed. Met a friend here for lunch last week. We normally go to Ixtapa but decided to mix it up. Since it was a beautiful day we took advantage of their patio dining area. I quickly decided on the Tavern Burger with tots. I ordered medium & I'd say it was a touch on the medium rare side. No worries though since I couldn't finish it all & took it home to finish the next day. Got a side of ranch dressing for my tots. Obviously in house made. It was delicious. My friend ordered the Reuben with a side salad. She only made it through half her Reuben before getting full. Her side salad was a meal in itself. A complete veggie garden in a bowl. She ordered it with a side of blue cheese dressing. Again in house made but not as good as the ranch. Service very good considering we were one of only 2 parties eating outside that day. Honestly the reason I wanted to leave a review is because the GM was incredibly hostile and rude to many people while we were there, and it was just not a place that I would want to go to subject myself to that again. First of all, I am really glad that there is a place here in Duvall that stays opened until 12:00. So, in case I am starving and not feeling like cooking anything, I just stop at Tavern. The food is good. I had hamburger and fries and they were very good. Please, don't expect a gourmet burger or you will be disappointed. However, the sandwiches has a lot, I mean a lot of meat. The salads are good as well, however there is just one kind of soup available (tomato) which is my least favorite of all soups. We love Duvall Tavern!!! Food never disappoints. I go between wings or burger, but have had salads as well. Husband likes WA state burger but has had their spicy chicken sandwich or tenders too.
