Sunny was born in March 2023 with Trisomy 21 and congenital heart disease. She underwent open heart surgery at 13 days old and spent 72 days in the hospital. With that being said, once Sunny was home she was behind on a lot of her development. Melissa has worked with Sunny in our home for 6 months now and it is truly amazing how much our daughter has learned and how far she has come developmentally. Melissa is extremely patient, attentive, and knowledgeable. She comes into each session with so much positivity and encouragement! She loves to get down on the floor with Sunny and knows exactly when our daughter needs a little break. We are so thankful to have found Melissa, she is truly outstanding!

From our very first session, Melissa demonstrated a deep understanding of our son's needs and strengths, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. Our son has made significant progress in gross motor skills and sensory processing thanks to Melissa's tailored approach and engaging strategies. She connected with our son on a personal level, and made each session enjoyable and fun. Our son was always SO excited for his visit with Melissa. Importantly, my husband and I learned from Melissa as well. She gave us tools to use with our son to better help him and she gave us a better understanding of our son and his abilities and challenges. We, in turn, became stronger as parents and were able to pass on relevant and helpful information to his other caregivers and our families. This collaboration has made a real difference in our daily lives. Melissa was also super communicative, easy to reach, and very responsive - which is always appreciated when you're juggling jobs and child care! We highly recommend Melissa to any parent seeking dedicated and skilled OT for their child. We are truly grateful for the positive impact she had on our family!

They've made such a positive impact on both of my sons and our whole family. Miss Katie (our OT and the clinic manager) is not only caring and patient but also extremely knowledgeable and professional. One of my sons has high sensitivity to smells and used to vomit a lot. After working with Miss Katie for just half a year, his vomiting has improved significantly--the frequency is much lower because he's learned strategies to avoid situations that trigger him. Katie always goes above and beyond to support each of my boys' unique needs, whether it's fine motor skills or sensory exploration. She communicates clearly, provides us with helpful home strategies, and even brings snacks sometimes to make the boys feel comfortable. My kids have grown so much under her care, and they absolutely adore her. Miss Tawny (clinic supervisor) is also the best. She keeps everything running smoothly--always on top of paperwork, scheduling, and last-minute changes. She goes out of her way to accommodate us, which is such a relief since I'm juggling OT and speech for two kids. She makes the logistics stress-free so I can focus on the boys' progress. Together, Miss Katie and Miss Tawny make the clinic feel like family. My boys are always excited to go, which makes therapy not only effective but also fun. We feel incredibly lucky to have them for our OT journey!

Her name was Adhi and she didn't know how to answer any of my questions. I spent a lot of time on the phone with her and she intentionally hung up on me since she was unsure as to how to respond to any of my concerns and I had asked to speak to her supervisor. I called back and she lied about having spoken to me (just a minute prior) and picked up the phone the same way she initially did saying "I'm calling from LAIPT how can I help you?" When I was the one calling her! I also contacted her on the day that I had parted with my child and needed some peace of mind knowing that she's doing ok and spent at least 5 minutes trying to explain the reason for my call only to find out that she worked in the "back office" and that there was no patient there by my child's first and last name!!! As a parent, I needed someone who was actually AT the facility and couldn't wait another GD knows how long for a coordinator to finish a session and call or text me back. It was an urgent matter and wasn't handled properly or professionally. I was more stressed, anxious and frustrated upon speaking with Adhi. She had ZERO clue of my child's whereabouts and emotional state and was of NO help. She barely spoke proper English and I had to spell out things in order for her to comprehend what I was saying! Thank GD for Katie and all of her help. Katie took the situation and handled it in a timely manner. She was very apologetic for Adhi's behavior and took matters into her own hands by giving me the peace of mind that was needed as a parent leaving my child there alone for the first time. Adhi seemed lost and should not be working anywhere that handles matters with children involved! I hope the company finds someone IN OFFICE who is knowledgeable and knows the patients and parents who will better manage the front desk.

We received a call within an hour of him being at the camp that he was stressed and overstimulated and didn't want to participate, so he was going to need extra support to stay. This was shocking to me considering how little time he had been there, that the point of it was to help kids adjust to kindergarten, and that their ratio was 2 adults to 7 kids. They told me that he consistently improved over the course of the first day and further improved on the second day, but that it would be too costly to keep another adult there to help him. It was sad for us because he left on a high note, telling me that he'd made a friend and that he had done a better job staying in the group. He clearly felt like a success and I wish he'd been given the opportunity to continue improving, but I didn't want him to stay at a camp where the facilitators believed that he was too much for them. He successfully did a year of TK last year and several other camps this summer, some with a ratio of 1 adult to 16 kids. CSC was polite to me and pro-rated me the other days, but it was upsetting because I assumed the most expensive camp I signed up for this summer (held at a therapy location) would be the greatest success, not the one camp that had to call me about an issue. This camp may work out for kids who are already very familiar with their gym environment and don't really need that much help when they feel anxious, but if you're looking for something that will help your child if they struggle in a new environment, this does not seem like the best choice. Some camps that worked well for us this summer were Pedalheads, Compass Clinic's Friendship Island Camp, Campbell Hall's Creative Arts Camp, and Destination Science.

VERY CHAOTIC AND DISORGANIZED OFFICE - POOR COMMUNICATION…read more "VERY SMALL STAFF" as an excuse for just horrible behavior. After completing the full evaluation process and receiving a recommendation for an intensive program, we expected there to be a clear and realistic scheduling process in place. Instead, communication was inconsistent, meetings were urgently requested, then missed without notice, and we were scheduled without confirmation for dates that directly conflicted with our child's school schedule. What was most concerning was being told that scheduling depended on whether other families confirmed first, despite already having completed evaluations, received treatment recommendations, and expressed both financial and scheduling readiness to proceed. From a patient perspective, that gave the impression that families are being selectively prioritized rather than scheduled through a transparent process such as a waitlist or first-come-first-served system. I understand small practices can face capacity limitations, but if a clinic is unable to accommodate the treatment plan it recommends, that should be communicated clearly and professionally from the beginning. We were just emailed that they cant serve us- and given a refund. While I appreciate the refund, the overall experience resulted in significant lost time, rearranged work obligations, and a delay in getting care for our son.
