My son was initially diagnosed with autism . When he was 3, he was diagnosed with mild to moderate ASD and he has be undergoing speech therapy with Miss Louise for the last two years. The qualities that make her stand out from other therapists are her patience, her creativity and her perseverance. She will not give up easily if your child is not making the progress that is typically expected. Her kind and innovative approach to learning drew my son to her instantly. My son has been receiving speech therapy since he was 18 months old from SLEA. He is now 9yrs old and speaks so well. We are only working on prismatics now. First of all, parking is plentiful and free!! One of the few buildings in that area that not only offers free parking but also has security on site making sure all is good in the parking lot. Second, lobby area is clean and usually empty when Im there waiting while my daughter and sons have their speech therapy sessions. Third and lastly, Natalie, my children's speech therapist is amazing. In our household we exclusively speak to both our children in Spanish so when we realized that our daughters speech development was a bit behind it wasn't easy finding a speech therapy vendor who provided bilingual services. After calling over 10 vendors, I found out SLEA was able to accommodate our unique situation and decided to give them a try. Because of Natalie, both of my children have improved immensely in their speech. Natalie is patient, kind, and super flexible. She is also quick to response to any questions I may have or if I need to make any changes to my kids schedule. My kids love her and very much look forward to seeing her. I have nothing but great things to say about SLEA and its amazing staff. My son just wrapped up one year of speech therapy and occupational therapy; he received speech therapy from Ms. Erika and occupational therapy from Ms. Lorraine. I cannot recommend these two enough. I have seen enormous improvement while he's been under their care and guidance. At 2 years old, he was not speaking or signing and had little joint attention. He was also not focusing well, lacked some gross motor skills and had some sensory issues. Now at almost 3, he is communicating through signs and words, has good focus and attention ability, is super active, willing to try more sensory activities and overall so much more confident in his abilities. I knew coming in that 1-on-1 therapy would be targeted for my son, but I didn't think how customized and individualized they would be. Both Ms. Erika and Ms. Lorraine leaned into my son's interest at all times (cars, ABC's, etc.) to help with his receptive, expressive and adaptive behavior skills. Ms. Erika was always thoughtful, swift in action and so kind and my son truly respected and adored her and their time together. She also provided incredible resources and recommendations to us which helped us at home with him. Ms. Lorraine was patient, observant and overall so much fun and Julian really loved playing and joking around with her which made him feel so comfortable and ready for adventure! She was also very in tune with his passions and always provided great suggestions on how to continue activities throughout the week. Both are fantastic and I highly recommend them! As for the facility itself, it's always super clean and every single person I've come across has been courteous, friendly and lovely to me and my son. Parking lot is always consistently open and available which helps if you're traveling from further away/running late (last thing you need to worry about!). Bailey was one of our 1st therapists and she was absolutely amazing and when she moved on to more of an organisational position she was replaced with Ryan. My daughter has recently started speech therapy here with Louise and we are highly impressed. Louise is patient, kind and she plays fun games which makes the lessons interesting and keeps engagement up. It's only been a few short weeks but there is a noticeable improvement in my daughter's speech. She looks forward to her lessons every week. This place is a God-send. We noticed that my son was a little behind in speech for his age so we started taking him to SLEA in July 2019, right after his second birthday. In five months he went from only knowing about 50 words and primarily communicating using gestures to knowing over 200 words and speaking in 2-3 word sentences. WOW! At an early age, I noticed that my son wasn't speaking nor babbling. I went into a spiral freak out and asked his pediatrician (constantly) to have him be evaluated. I'm so glad I did because my son got evaluated and was able to get speech sessions. Like most parents, I was worried about taking speech lessons virtually. But Louise is the most understanding, loving, fun, and best of all, sweetest speech therapist! My issue is with the therapist and not necessarily the organization. My twins received therapy with Jen D. She had a lot of last minute cancellations for my tastes. My son is currently getting Speech support from two extraordinary therapists by the name of Ms. Cady and Ms. Erika. Making the switch to SLEA from our previous providers was the best move for my sons progress. We began with speech therapy with Ms. Sindy. About a month later we started ABA with Ms. Tamika. Both ladies have been key in my sons recent progress. Compared to our previous providers the difference has been NIGHT AND DAY. The entire process from dealing with the intake staff, the insurance verification dept, scheduling and the therapist has been easy. My son had hit a wall and I knew he was capable of progress with the correct team and supervisor. This place has been amazing for my twin boys!! I have been coming to this office for over three years and our speech therapists have been extraordinary!! My boys have been diagnosed with autism with speech delay and this company has changed our lives. We started with Maria in the mornings and we slowly started to see that my boys speak and interact.
