We stumbled upon Dwellings by accident, but what a find. Amazing furniture, with unique pieces that I have not seen any where else. The story is that they hand pick items from India once a year and get a huge shipment. There are antique pieces, nouveau pieces, modern pieces and artistic accent pieces. I cannot say enough about Dwellings. I feel like I'm on cloud 9 the moment I step through the door! The staff is top notch; incredibly knowledgeable, kind and helpful, and possess obviously fantastic design ability. Their warehouse and delivery team is second to none. White glove service from shopping to purchasing to bringing it home. We purchased a sofa and chair-and-a-half a year ago and they have held up beautifully and absolutely make the room. I especially appreciated all of the help we had when choosing the fabrics. Chris encouraged us to go with a timeless performance fabric, and I'm so thankful we did. I love the variety in the showroom, and I always leave feeling totally inspired and excited to implement new ideas. Would have bought a rug if the owner wasnt so arrogant I really like the sample (I had to buy as they didnt trust I would return it) of the rug and went back to buy it but the size wasnt perfect so I asked if I could buy it and if it didnt work I could return it and the owner rolled his eyes and walked away. I have bought MANY rugs and this was made in India which is WAY less than Morocco where I buy most of my rugs but the 1400 price tag was IMO more than the value I like VERY modern stuff and this place had more like an upscale New World Market vibe read more

They have cool furniture and nice designer objects to complete an interior. I would not call it an antique store. I believe it's a mix of some vintage and new. Lots of griege upholstered furniture. My impression was their store would beautifully furnish a hip condo. There were no other customers and the staff did not greet me, much less see if there was something in particular I was looking for. read more

It felt like we'd exhausted every furniture store in town before I stumbled upon Dwellings and found the perfect couch that was exactly what we were looking for. The couch is a great, timeless style and is excellent quality. We loved being able to pick our own upholstery, and the owner and rest of the staff were extremely nice and helpful. It took quite a long time to receive the couch, but we've now gotten it and are in love. It was a great buy that we will have for many years to come. read more

They have some nice, and unique, items, but their customer service is really poor. We purchased a number of bedroom and living room pieces a couple of years ago; Dwellings received the various pieces several months apart and charged us twice for two deliveries. Recently, I phoned them to inquire about the manufacturer of our bedroom furniture because friends had admired it and wanted to purchase the same line from Dwellings. They refused to provide the information to me, though they said if my friends came in they would provide the information to them. Interesting concept: they would not tell me what *I* had purchased, but would tell my friends. This is absolute BS, and I have never experienced anything like it before. Needless to say, I won't be referring friends to a store with this poor level of customer service. read more

I'm writing my first Yelp review ever because I had such a great experience at Dwellings. This is where you should buy your furniture!! We were shopping for a house we were building, and stumbled upon Dwellings. Not only do they have beautiful pieces (we're thrilled with our sectional, two armchairs and pendant light fixtures), they're also priced competitively, and super friendly and helpful without being pushy at all. We went in and someone asked if they could help us; when we said we were just looking, the person let us just look!! (We went to another furniture store to compare pricing and it was the totally opposite feeling; we kept being asked if we needed help and getting offered information, even when we made it very clear we were really just looking! Our price comparisons made us run back toward Dwellings from the big box type furniture store we went to for comparisons). When we became interested in a couch at Dwellings, we noticed a sign saying to ask about design services. We did and I was amazed by how helpful Tanya was. My husband and I aren't particularly hip or design-adept. We needed help (and while Dwellings furnishings are hip, they're not hipster; I consider us pretty traditional and muted in our tastes and we found a lot that we loved!) Not only did Tanya take our blueprints and design our living room set up (for no charge), but she also came out to our house to help us pick wall colors for the whole house (for a very reasonable fee- less than $100 even though we're 30 mins from town). She listened to what we like rather than pushing what she likes on us, and we appreciated that. We're thrilled withTanya's design work and the furniture and lighting she helped us choose. I'll recommend Dwellings to anyone looking for furniture, fixtures, or interior design help. read more

I love this place. Great pieces from furniture to décor. I just bought two pieces of furniture that were delivered. The two delivery men were very careful and made a special effort to ensure that each piece was placed exactly where I wanted it.
