Retro looking furniture at the entry with finger dialed phones...my nieces and nephews would likely not have any idea what these little machines called telephones were. The bar was a mix of old - building built in the 1960s....new - modern mirrors and bar. There was signage at the front of the bar that stated to seat yourself and place your order from the bar (different set up...for sure). Later that evening he said he was going to cancel our booking because the wedding already had "several VRBOs booked nearby, 12 caterers and 60 guests with a good chunk coming internationally."

That evening, he messaged again saying that he felt that he needed to just cancel our booking completely and let the other people have the venue because "they're having a wedding and yours is just an engagement party." My fiancé messaged him back that if he was going to cancel it then just to cancel it so we can get our refund and try to find another location ourselves. The next day, Lucas contacted us again and completely switched up and tried to make it seem like the reason he was canceling our booking was because of the number of people we were planning to be hosting. Meanwhile he had already told us that the wedding that he is allowing to have the place is going to be having more people than what ours was supposed to have. He has also been giving us trouble by messaging and trying to call my fiancé to manipulate us into being the ones to cancel the booking now so he doesn't get the penalties. Luckily, we contacted airbnb support who helped us get it cancelled on his end. I would not recommend booking anything with him. He is very dishonest and untrustworthy. We also didn't appreciate the way he was making it seem like it was our fault for not wanting to move our party. He was guilt tripping my fiancé over the phone. This situation showed that he does not know how to make business decisions based on what is booked and on record.
