    Tiny grill

Came here for a friend's birthday diner. The place is really nice, clean and very well decorated. Staff made us feel very welcome as soon we open the door. No complaint there. We order like 6 different type meat and some noodle and pancake. None of the dish we ordered disappointed us. Everything is on point. It didn't take very long either. One small disappoint thing I have is that I wish the have built in grill at the table like the other location. That would be great. And our ticket was about 170$ for 7 people... it's not bad for 7 people at all. Will return for sure :)

Loved this place!!!! We got the three meat combo to cook ourselves with the hot plate, and it was AWESOME! Our service was great, and the food was great too. We were a little skeptical because it seemed a little....crummy inside (you won't be taking your cute Instagram selfies here), but the food was what we were there for, and it didn't disappoint! We're definitely coming back

Ordered the sizzling buttered corn. No carrots, no green onions - just corn and cheese. Meh. Update: I called the restaurant and was given my money back for this dish. So that's good business!

This place is quaint and quite with one server; she might have also been the owner, very friendly. Food was delicious and quick to arrive to the table- I was satisfied!

It is a neat place close to UoM. The Korean BBQ does not seem to be a lot of food at first but it is definitely enough for a table for two. 3 kinds of meat, 3 small side dishes, cheese corns, 3 bowls of rice and egg. I definitely am going back.

Decent Korean BBQ joint on the Highland strip, relatively new. We went for a date night dinner on a Friday night. The first thing that struck us when we walked in, it was empty in their front room and no greeter at the door. But as you walk around to their larger room further back, we found a hip looking area with tables lining the walls, some bench type seating and some regular chairs, as well as a bar. The interior was simple, not much on the walls other than soju or sake ads. For food and drink, we opted to stick with waters, but did notice they had a decent beer and drink list, and they also advertise $13 craft pitchers. We got the bibimbap with beef, and the spicy pork bulgogi. The bibimbap was underwhelming, quite bland, and extremely little meat. The bulgogi had a decent portion size and great flavor so we actually mixed it into the bibimbap and that made it pretty darn good. We never got refills or topped off on our drinks. Overall, a mediocre experience, and definitely overpriced for what you get. It's not bad, but I probably won't return.

While I love trying…read morenew foods, I draw the line at cooking it myself at a "table grill", so he recommended this place. We went for lunch, let him guide the way, and ate everything family style (they serve individual platters, but he wanted us to have the full Korean experience and be able to sample many things too!) Everything was delicious. The portions were big, food was seasoned well, and our server was very attentive - keeping us informed of the slight kitchen delay due to a large party ahead of us. After lunch, we popped over to the Asiana market for Korean ice cream bars, which were also delicious! (Apologies in advance for the low quality photos - I had to snap fast before everyone dug in!)

The parking lot is shared with other businesses in the strip (with Asiana Market, a Korean grocery store, located at the far left). There are plenty of spaces available in the private lot. Upon entering the restaurant, the main hostess, who may also be the owner, is straight ahead. There are approximately 12 tables in the main dining room, along with a larger room to the left that offers additional seating. FOOD: 1. Pork Dupbap Lunch Special (4/5): If you've tried beef bulgogi, this is similar but made with spiced pork. You really can't go wrong with this dish. 2. Spicy Rice Cake (Tteokbokki, 4/5): I'm usually picky with tteokbokki because many restaurants make it too sweet or lacking in flavor. This version was one of the better restaurant renditions I've had. A classic Korean street and comfort food, it consists of spicy-sweet rice cakes with fish cake, cabbage, and scallions. I would definitely order this again. Best shared between 2-3 people. 3. Seafood Soon Dubu (Soft Tofu Stew, 4/5): A spicy, well-seasoned stew made with silky soft tofu, vegetables, and seafood. This is especially comforting during the cold winter season. I highly recommend ordering one of the soups when it's cold out. The portion was generous, as I took half home. 4. Yangnyeom Korean Fried Chicken (New KFC; not on the original menu, 3/5): Ten pieces of boneless chicken served with pickled daikon radish. The sauce was a sweet chili blend. While flavorful, it lacked the extra crispiness typically found in Korean fried chicken. 5. Seafood Pancake (Haemul Pajeon, 4/5): One of our favorites. This version featured shrimp and squid, with a crispy exterior and a soft interior. It was served hot with a tangy dipping sauce made from soy sauce and rice vinegar. Best shared between 2-3 people. 6. Kimchi Fried Rice (3/5): A popular dish made with kimchi, rice, and diced vegetables, often with meat such as Spam. This version did not include meat but was topped with a runny egg for protein and garnished with dried seaweed flakes. Best shared between 2-3 people. 7. Japchae (Stir-Fried Glass Noodles, 3/5): A popular Korean appetizer, often served as a side dish (banchan). Typically stir-fried with vegetables and beef, this version was served in a slightly sweet broth, which differed from the traditional preparation. Best shared between 2-3 people. The service was good. Our water glasses were never empty, and the staff checked on us twice during our meal. Would I come back? Yes. Be sure to check out the lunch specials.

When you walk in you'll check in with the host to be seated. The restaurant feels like a super cute, casual ramen shop vibe right in the heart of Memphis. For food we started by ordering the crawfish dumplings (crawfish, shrimp, cream cheese & togarashi). The dumplings were good, almost like a take on a Crab Rangoon but with shrimp and crawfish. For entrees my partner ordered the Big City Ramen (chicken broth, chicken thigh, ajitama, corn & menma) and I ordered the Spicy Pork Ramen (miso broth, pork chashu, soft egg, scallion, nori). The Big City ramen had a really good balance of flavors and wasn't too spicy. The spicy pork ramen was good but a bit like on the spicy side. For dessert we ordered the Thai tea dessert which was really well balanced and a perfect way to the end the meal. Highly recommend stopping by Good Fortune if you are in the Memphis area.

After taking a minute to look over the menu, I decided to go with the AYCE Hotpot dinner. I ordered spicy soup with squid, crab stick, lamb, sirloin, bamboo shoot, bok choy, enoki mushrooms and ramen noodles. It was a lot of food, but I was starving and I ate most of it. They do charge for food waste so be mindful of that. Overall, it was very good and a nice experience. Price is reasonable. I will most definitely be back. Maybe I'll try the BBQ next time.

But…read moreclearly that is just a line given because the hostess didn't even remain at the desk- she went to the bar and sat down and was drinking her drink and staying on her phone. We saw a few tables exit and how would she even know if no one is hosting the stand? She literally had her back to everything. We felt trapped as 15, 20, 30, 45 minutes went by. After an hour we were finally seated. It was that horrible experience of not knowing if we should leave or if we had already invested so much time, surely we would be the next person called? I wish the hostess would've told the truth about the wait. It was only after patrons that came in behind us started to rightfully become upset, suddenly there was a host of people at the stand and tables were getting cleared. After an hour, we were finally seated in the very back of the restaurant and it took another 5 to 7 minutes before someone came over and acknowledged us. The salad bar area where you can make your sauce was missing half of the ingredients and absolutely no attempts were being made to refill the station. Items were left off of our order and we had to ask for them to be brought out. Saw a lot of employees standing around on their phones behind the salad bar station near the bathrooms in the kitchen. There are now far too many AYCE Korean/ Asian BBQ/ hotpot areas in Memphis to go back to a place with bad service and low quality food experiences. We used to proudly bring our out of town friends and family to try this dining experience- but would be too embarrassed to bring them now.

The first half of my corn dog was just cheese, then I found the beef, but the cheese was not with the beef. So it was a half and half. I would have liked for the beef to be longer and the cheese to be in with the beef. Nonetheless, the taste was great. Crunchy and great flavor. The sugar on top was interestingly good with it. The other item I got was the vegetable egg roll. I would have rather got the chicken, but they were out. It was a decent egg roll. It was extremely hot when I got it so I let it cool down and by that point it was starting to get soggy. They were big. I'll have to try the Bulgogi next time and a different Korean corn dog also.
