This was one of the WORST nail salons I have ever been to. I made an appointment and was quoted $50 over the phone for a gelx refill. When I got there I told them I wanted to do French as well and the women told me it would be an extra $10. The man doing my nails told me typically they charge $15-20 for French but he would leave it at $10. He was extremely rushed, sloppy, and rude. When I politely asked if he could adjust the shape he insulted me and called me rude. He missed spots on my nails. I asked if we could do a color because the French didn't look good and he got very flustered and said I didn't like his work that I was rude and that my nails were ugly. I asked if someone else could do my nails since he was getting aggressive. He finished them and his wife came over and tried to gaslight me in thinking that they were good and that he didn't say anything wrong. I told them I was really offended, that the service was horrible, and that I didn't like my nails. They still proceeded to charge me $55 and the man called me rude and that I didn't know anything because I was young on my way out. I paid reluctantly but will be disputing the charge on my card because the price they quoted me was not what I was told on the phone and because this is not what I asked for or expected and because of the verbal treatment from david. AVOID this place at all cost. They do not care about their customers, they do not provide an inviting space, and they are beyond disrespectful. Attaching a video of how they spoke to me- calling me rude, saying I have an attitude. I never have been treated this way at a salon. Go to another salon in the area you'll be better off. This is my first review in Yelp. I truly believe this place deserves 5 stars. Today I walked in for a quick half leg waxing and ended up with a paraffin pedicure and manicure as well. The place is very clean, The technicians are very detailed orientated and very nice and kind. They really like their job and one can feel that it is not that fake smile. The owner is very kind and very attentive. My son was a bit upset I walked in but they took good care of him too. He told me he liked the place because it was smell free. He also said he enjoyed the piano classical music he could listen while reading his book and waiting for his mom. The waxing was perfect. The manicure and pedicure top notch. The products are high quality, organic. The manicure and pedicure kits came sterilized and sealed like dental kits. There were unsealed in front of me. Hygiene is something very important to me and I felt I can trust this place when it comes to this issue. The receptionist was very nice as well. She did not charge me for using the credit card as I was a first time customer. This is a small family business where I felt treated very well, unlikely like in any spa in DC metro area. I will definitely go back and recommend it to my friends and neighbors. Please, keep up the same high hygienic standards and the very detailed good work! RICKY is an Asian guy who has awesome skills . He said he had learned hair care and design in Korea which is very well known for Idols fashion leading country. Ricky has built his carrier in 20 yrs . When I see his finger motion with scissors, I felt I was at a shop in Seoul, downtown . Just leave my hair to him and he transformed my hair to Hollywood celebrities. I strong recommend you to try Ricky for hair color and David for nail by hand painting. David is the owner, small Asian hand draw any picture on your nail. He has very delicate and fine skill. Both Ricky and David are icons for hair and nail. I want to share the hair side of DX Organic Salon. Ricky is amazing with women's hair! Ricky fixed my brassy orange hair and gave it layers! I asked for a warm maple brown and that's what I got! I have a picture attached about 3 weeks after and the color is still strong. I had so many split ends and brassy areas in my hair that I thought it would be impossible to fix, but he did it! While I waited for my hair to soak in the color that Ricky applied on my hair, I got my nails done by David! He is very skillful and clearly knows what he's doing. I got a pastel blue shellac color with glitter on my ring fingers as an accent and it was wonderful. :) Make sure to bring cash, I got a $14 DISCOUNT with cash and it is so worth it! I've never written a review before so I guess I should start with a positive one. This is one place that I've been recently that really left a positive impression. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with DX Nails. I'm a mani/pedi regular so I feel like I know what to look for. These guys seemed to have it all; variety of products & services, professional stylists, high tech chairs and tools, great service and a great price to boot. Everyone was very friendly and I was in and out quickly with a huge smile on my face. Its conveniently located right on Old GTown Rd so I believe this will be my new regular spot. I went there to get my nails done for graduation because yelp suggested it was a nice place and I had such a great experience. Ashley did a amazing job with my gel nails. She was very detailed with her work, making my nails look neat and beautiful. I love that this place is vegan and organic because it doesn't have the chemically smell that other salons have and it is better for the environment. The owners and staff were very sweet and did whatever they could to take care of me and make me feel comfortable. They kept me waiting 45 minutes for a scheduled appointment. They scheduled someone else at the same time as me or took a walk in 2 minutes before my appointment but either way they had no respect for my appointment and clearly their scheduling means nothing except get as many people in to make as much money as possible. Told me the customer before me was difficult and took extra time. That customer was very rude to me. They had no respect for my time. I never come late in respect their time. I seldom make recommendations and this is my first (and may be my only) review ever on YELP! This family owned business goes out of it's way to make customers happy. David and his wonderful wife are friendly, attentive, and meticulous. It's great to find out such an excellent nailsalon. I heard this place from my friends so I tried to come this once. The staff is prefessional and kind. I had my nails done within 30 minutes, for both manicure n pedicue, very quickly. The result is amazing. The woman did the nails for me, repaired my nails perfectly. Especially, I didn't notice which kind or which brands of products, but the color still exist on my nails for almost 2 weeks.
