At the register, I was a bit of a pain trying to figure out the sale amounts and ALL of the staff, to include the manager on duty were more than patient, helpful and kind. The buy one get one 50% off sale made me able to get six pairs of really nice footwear for what I would normally pay for one pair. It was a lovely experience and not for nothing, some footwear brands actually still make shoes in real quality leather. I'm old school. Pleather is cute and environmentally conscious but it does hold up. At any rate - happy shopping experience indeed and much needed.

They measured our feet using a traditional shoe size scale measurement and also had has step on a machine that was able to see where we put the most pressure when we stand, foot arch, etc. The store associates truly were experts in what they do. They recommended a couple of brands based on our results and brought out different shoes for us to try on. They also sell socks that are blister free. I highly recommend this business and also location. Everyone should get a foot analysis if they can! I found out my true sneaker size is not 8 and is actually a 9. The sneakers I got were very comfortable, the most comfortable I've ever worn.

There is also one in Alpharetta, which would be the one I'd recommend out of all of them. This location is fairly nice and large. They have your basic camping, recreational, fishing and outdoor needs. They also sell clothing, shoes and guns. My visit was purely related to kayaking, which is how I'm rating them. In terms of kayak selection, not much available in-store. Then again, it's hard to find a broad selection of kayaks at any place and ones that are affordable. Typically wal-mart would be a better option for cheap and affordable. This location has more high-end, and expect to pay between $650 & $1300 for their models. Thankfully I had already purchased a kayak and only needed gear for it. They have tons of items for your kayak, including: car racks, scooper plugs, fishing rod holder attachment, dry sacks, waterproof phone/laptop cases, paddle holder kits, and repair parts. For what I purchased, I felt like I got a great deal and plenty of variety to choose from. I'd certainly recommend this spot for kayak needs!

They actually had some cute and colorful leather sandals and some non-leather sandals and shoes. Unfortunately there was only one attendant in this small store and he was assisting customers so I did not have an opportunity to try on the shoes or ask questions. No problem! I hate it with a red hot passion. I know. I know. My chick card should be revoked. But its all just too much. The undressing and re-dressing. The people standing too close to me. The random children wandering up to me and 'playing' with my purse. The finding something I love - only to discover they don't have it the color or size I want. Having said all that - I'm a simple girl with simple tastes. And I needed some new shoes. My 'go to' shoes are black flats - specifically Mary Jane style black flats. In the past 20 years - I've probably owned at least 18 pairs. My current pair had been looking pretty crappy for quite some time - and were clearly on their last legs - but yesterday - while at my contract gig - the left one started making embarrassing little 'farting' noises with every step I took. Insert blush. So now that time was of the essence - I went online and selected several pairs of shoes only to discover they didn't have them in size I needed. So I chose any size available - just to generate a 'shopping cart' - then I printed said 'shopping cart' and hot-footed it over to the Famous Footwear Dallas Hwy location. It's spring break for a lot of the kids - so the place was pretty crowded. There was one young lady, Tiffany, working both the floor and the cash register. Tiffany took one look at my printed list and positively beamed at me. After that she was a site to behold - she was running around trying to find all 6 pairs of shoes on my list, while taking care of 6 different customers - yes 6 - I was there for a while and had nothing better to do but keep track. Three of the shoes I wanted were not in stock and she actually took the initiative to bring over 3 different comparable shoes for me to inspect. I know I'm gushing - but this was just such a stellar example of customer service! Not sure why she was the only person working - but she handled the situation like a true champ. She was cute, charming, funny, energetic, patient, determined - and a whole host of other adjectives I'm too tired to type. Not sure if you'll ever see this review - but if so - keep up the good work, Tiffany! You're awesome!

I told her that I had purchased two pairs just before COVID so that I could alternate days of wearing the shoes. The store closed for COVID before I could return the defective pair. Instead of wearing out the one pair, I decided to wear the defective pair until the store reopened. I even showed her both pairs of shoes so that she could see the defect for herself. Both the clerk and manager, whom she called over to examine the shoes, were very nasty and treated me like a criminal, although I did nothing to violate their return policy. I also had my bike tuned up and repaired there. Some of the services for which I had paid were not completed. When I asked to have them done, the mechanic was very nasty. When I took the bike with me on an RV trip across country, one of my riding companions, who is a triathlete, pointed out other problems that should have been repaired. I will never use the repair shop at this location again!
