We have used Austin Pro Moving twice and I can't recommend them enough. Steve and his crew showed up on time. They walked the house with me to see what we needed moved and put together a plan on how to pack their truck. They wrapped pretty much everything (my weight machine didn't require that much love). They covered our wood floors to protect them as they went in and out. It took a long time to pack, but none of our furniture or other items were damaged/broken on both moves. On our last move we asked Steve if he could assemble a large multi-piece bookshelf. It was a challenge but he was able to get it put together. Hopefully we won't be moving anytime soon but if we do I would definitely call Austin Pro Moving again! read more

This was an Excellent moving experience using Austin Pro Moving! Both Steve and Mike were extremely courteous, conscientious, and professional from beginning to end. They moved our third floor two bedroom apartment to our new first-floor apartment expediently and without incident (everything was carefully wrapped) and placed everything back in place... including hooking our washer and dryer back up! I worked with Steve, the owner on our move and he brought two other hard working assistants (John and Alberto) with him to help. On the contrary to other reviews, Steve was very responsible, hardworking and punctual. I will definitely hire him again for future work. I have never seen a group of guys work that hard before. Steve and his crew worked 13 hours non-stop with barley even a break. They were on time, professional and made extra measure to ensures expensive belonging were moved safely with no damage. He helped break down our beds, kitchen table and other items with out any issues. In the past working with other movers things are usually left unassembled with missing screws and components as well. I have worked with big moving companies in the past and have had terrible service and in the end regretted it. Working with Steve was a great experience I am even hiring back in a few days to help with some additional unpacking above and beyond the move. We cannot say enough good things about this company! We bought a house & things always seem to happen to throw a kink in your plans when you close. We had them scheduled for a Friday & literally at the last minute (the morning of the afternoon move), we had to call & arrange a change. The gal we dealt with was SO KIND AND ACCOMODATING! It had to have thrown off their day, but they bent over backward to figure it out with us & were incredibly understanding. Steve (owner) and Josh were the guys who did our move & were GREAT! Funny, kind, efficient. They wrapped all the items that should be wrapped & allowed this pregnant gal to just sit around & direct traffic. They did break a lightbulb going up the stairwell, but knocked a bit of money off the total without us mentioning it. For us, that's a sign of a good business man. They cancelled on me last minute!!! I had booked with Austin Pro Moving weeks in advance and was set to move on a Friday at 1PM. They showed up at 1:30PM after finishing two previous jobs. The guy came to my third floor apartment and told me my things would take too long to move and he had a big commercial job to get to. I'm not usually at a loss for words but I was this horrible day. Considering everything was packed and I had to be out of my place, I felt like I was in a bad dream. The man told me he is getting out of residential and cannot risk being late to his next commercial job. Why did you schedule me then!!!! If I had more things than they could move, why was there not an offer to move some things???? They didn't offer any type of solution, just walked out the door and left me stranded. Unfortunate for this company, I have been in commercial property management and a broker in Austin for over 5 years. I have connections and you cancelled on the wrong person. After calling over 20 movers who were all booked, Keep Moving, LLC (www.keepmovingtx.com) scheduled a special night move to accommodate me. First of all, you should know that I move A LOT. This is my 4th move in 5 years but in the last 10 years, I've moved about 14 times. Crazy, I know, but that being said, I know a good mover when I work with one and Steve and his crew, John and Alberto were phenomenal. I hired them to pick up stuff in storage, help me pack my apartment (i had only packed about a dozen boxes) and then move me about 5 miles away to my new home (and hopefully the place I stay for several years!) The whole crew had a positive attitude the whole day. In my opinion they worked too hard and should have taken more breaks but their focus on getting the job done, and done right ,was second to none.They took care in wrapping my wall art, my breakables and ensuring that everything arrived safely. Off to a good start. Lisa is fantastic. The rate VERY affordable. I was able to schedule the move when I needed it. I purchased some furniture from Craigslist and needed to have it moved quick. I called the "big" guys and their estimates were outrageous and they could only show up in a three hour window of time. I found Austin Pro Moving on Craigslist and went to their website. Family owned - all right I like to help local small business. Steve, the owner, comes out on every move. So I called them on Tuesday afternoon. Talked to Steve's wife. Yes, they could make it at one the next day. Fantastic! The best was the care they took. Steve and Mike wrapped everything. We went from South Austin to Cedar Park. They took everything out, unwrapped it, set it where I wanted and asked if there was anything else I needed moved! Then the bill came. Steve said "you didn't even use the minimum yet". Well, I am so happy with these folks I would give them six stars if I could. I will use them for everything in the future. You should too. So Steve is the owner of the company. He is very irresponsible and unprofessional. He forgot to unload my trash can and my sewing machine. He admitted to this. We agreed that he would return it the next day. He never showed up nor contacted me. I contacted him asking if he would please return it as soon as possible, and he never did. Its been a month. Lisa is so sweet and professional. She assured me that when the movers arrive what would happen. She didn't just give me a bunch of empty promises to earn my business.
