They rushed through things because someone did terrible scheduling and scheduled another move within a few hours of ours so we didn't get to use the movers for as long as we needed them so we had to borrow someones truck and pay for it and move for 2 more days with what was left still to move. You see, these smiling faces work for NorthStar Moving Company, and we all know the employees are the one that makes the company. David and his coworker/friend could have rushed up 38 stairs to quickly unload my things because they were heavy, but nope, they took their time coming upstairs to make sure nothing got damaged. Now mind you, they could have rushed because the NorthStar guys in San Jose, Ca, wrapped my things so securely nothing could have gotten broken. And David, here in Texas, encouraged me to count my boxes as they brought them inside my place to make sure all my things had made it! Another great thing about Northstar is, it only took 7 days for my things to arrive, the pick-up was Monday from California, and the delivery date was Sunday in Houston, Texas. I have to give so much praise to Lorena, I booked this move in March, but it wasn't going to be until May. She stayed in contact with me every step of the way. I was giving stuff away in those two months, and Lorena would change my quote without any problem. Another thing Lorena did, she gave me information about a reliable car service to have my car transported to Texas, and that was quick too. My car was picked up on Friday from California and delivered on Tuesday in Houston! I will always use NorthStar, and I do have another big move coming again.

They were PROFESSIONAL MOVERS and I see the difference now that I watched them in action. I recently used another local moving service. They forgot items, broke my tabletop, and at the end of the move, shoved an iPad in my face which prompted me to tip them 15, 20, or 25%. I had already given them $50 each and then got hit to tip them on the total cost of the move. There was NONE of that with Northstar. Four guys showed up, worked VERY HARD, and then left with no expectation of a tip. They also left my house spotless. I have used these guys in the past for broken TVs and they have always provided a delightful customer experience. You have the options of leaving stuff out on the curb but I couldn't do that because of my HOA. Also, last time I had left a desk that someone snatched up from the curb. So I didn't want to waste their time again. Their technology use is pretty awesome and respectfully as a IT guy I appreciate how it makes billing simple and easy. We have used Austin Pro Moving twice and I can't recommend them enough. Steve and his crew showed up on time. They walked the house with me to see what we needed moved and put together a plan on how to pack their truck. They wrapped pretty much everything (my weight machine didn't require that much love). They covered our wood floors to protect them as they went in and out. It took a long time to pack, but none of our furniture or other items were damaged/broken on both moves. On our last move we asked Steve if he could assemble a large multi-piece bookshelf. It was a challenge but he was able to get it put together. Hopefully we won't be moving anytime soon but if we do I would definitely call Austin Pro Moving again! read more

We were thrilled with the service Steve and Mark gave us. They were very fairly priced, exceptionally professional and personable, efficient, on time, and handled everything with care. They even helped us arrange our furniture in the house, which took patience! I so appreciated them asking about each item and making thoughtful suggestions. Great folks here! I I was canceled on by another company due to my apartment building did not have close street access and very long hallways. So I called Lisa at Austin Pro moving and she was very nice and told me that Steve had just got done with a large move, but she said she would call him and see if he could done another one which he was happy to do at 5 pm. He showed up redbull in hand him Josh went right to work and load up my one bedroom apartment with a very long walk to the truck, in an less then two hours. Very pleased with the awesome service offered by Austin Pro Moving. Steve and Josh helped us with all our items including fragile stuff. It was a little walk from the door to parking in the old apartment and 3rd floor on the new one. I am sure the labor was backbreaking but they moved everything swiftly yet carefully. It was raining and they were careful enough to put rugs on the carpet to prevent soiling during moving. That was really very nice of them. They turned up on time and were very professional. My wife and I were moving cross-country to Chicago, and Steve and his team helped us pack our own (rented) truck. WE were missing multiple key packing items (ropes, clickstraps, and furniture pads) since the rental truck company blew it. Steve took extra time and creativity to find us cardboard, etc. to use as padding. We drove 18 hours and not one thing broke. It was way above and beyond service, and more than we could have hoped for on a long drive without the right materials. Couldn't recommend these guys, total pros, any more strongly. read more

I had a great experience with the crew from Austin Pro Moving. Mike and Steve did a great job of moving my one bedroom apartment. Everything arrived at the new location in good order. $230 for two hours including disassembling/assembling bed and disconnecting/connecting washer. Most other companies were not available within 7 days and quoted for $350 or higher. I highly recommend Austin Pro Moving. read more

Upon arriving to pick up my furniture I was told by an employee of theirs by the name of "Zach" that the owner was out of town and they'd only take cash. Not knowing any better I accepted. They caused significant damage to my mahogany bed during the moving process. Despite my attempts to address the issue with the company, I was met with inadequate responses and a lack of accountability. It's disheartening to see a lack of professionalism and care for customers' belongings from a company that claims to provide quality moving services. In the end they denied accountability due to the owner being out of town. I would caution anyone considering hiring Leon Moving LLC to proceed with caution and thoroughly research their options before entrusting them with their belongings. The damage to my property and the company's lackluster response have left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. Overall, I cannot in good conscience recommend Leon Moving LLC based on my experience.

Do not waste your money…read more This company does not take care of its customers and does not take responsibility for damages caused during the move. The owner, Matt, was friendly and accommodating when I first called for a quote and to schedule my move, but that completely changed once problems came up. During the move, the movers damaged my TV stand while carrying it upstairs. I personally saw the leg break off and they did not realize I had witnessed it happen. Instead of taking responsibility, they tried to act as if it had already been damaged, saying, "Oh ma'am, the leg keeps falling off." The leg was not loose before the move. A large chunk of wood had been ripped off the stand. I tried to be understanding and simply asked if they could repair or reattach it. They never did. A few days later, while unpacking, I turned on my TV and discovered that it had also been damaged during the move and was completely broken. I contacted Matt immediately, just as I had done regarding the TV stand. For the TV stand damage, I was offered only $30. When I called about the TV, I was told, "I'm sorry Kianna, I can't do anything about it. I can send you the contract again." Paying hundreds of dollars for professional movers only to have your belongings damaged and then be told there is nothing they can do is unacceptable.
