Jorge & the other mover (i didnt catch his name) were quick and efficient. they arrived on time & were patient and understanding when they had to work around the contractors at the starting move point. my property was not damaged and i was charged correctly. the most patient individual in the entire process was aaron, who i spoke to on the phone when i first called. he listened to me complain, was incredibly kind, and still locked me in at a good rate. i will note, while the actual people working for the company are incredibly kind and in great spirits, the junk company they partner with is slightly disorganized in terms of scheduling and time related endeavors. read more

This was our first time hiring professional movers, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. At the end of our move, we were instructed to send $150 through Cash App and were told it was for the remaining portion of the move at a reduced rate. Later, the company informed us that the payment was actually considered a tip, which was never how it was explained to us. I appreciate that management investigated the issue and ultimately refunded the $150, but the miscommunication caused unnecessary stress. DO NOT USE AMS! My mother used them in a recent move. At first they believed her artwork was missing, but near the end of the move they found it buried under blankets in the truck. The canvas print was damaged during the move (worn off around the edges), along with other furniture items. We filed a claim since we had purchased their insurance coverage. During the claims process, they requested a repair estimate, which we provided, but their offers remained below the quoted repair cost. Communication was also very slow. Weeks would often pass between responses, and revised offers would appear with little or no explanation, usually only about $50 higher than the previous one. As of today, 7 months later, my mother still has not received compensation for the damaged artwork or furniture. We certainly would never use them again. read more

Crystal, I will not stop until this company is disbanded and the entire staff is brought to justice by any means necessary. It's a short trip from DFW to the Carrollton office. If you (foolishly) decide to go with All My Sons/New City Moving, prepare to pay $2k (yes, two thousand) for a one bedroom move. It'll take nearly seven hours (not including the hour late arrival for the first move of the day) to go from one bedroom to another less than a mile away. Take photos of everything you own prior to their careless manhandling and document every inch of the home you're leaving and the one you're moving in. They might also "lose" petty things, like they stole laundry pods from me. Great job, Freddie. Everything I own that was moved by these clowns was broken, much of it irreparably. The building I live in has huge chunks of plaster and paint taken out of the walls from these movers. The crew was drunk, slow, and left trash everywhere. They damaged a portion of the 100+ year old flooring that had to be removed. I provided evidence weeks in advance that the floor would need protection. One of the crew left his tablet unattended and I was able to see what he left on the screen. On it was a list of everything I owned to be moved by the movers (provided by me weeks in advance) - no surprise items. They had prepared and supplied a three man crew then showed up claiming they needed five men. They then waited around to show up with two day laborers who were clearly not affiliated with the company. I cannot express how frustratingly slow all five of these movers worked, padding for time and getting more of an hourly rate. You're paying to have them scroll TikTok and hide in the truck. The last (and probably most horrifying) element of the day was the workers' attitudes. The leader, Freddie, was incredibly hostile and aggressive and yelled/cursed at me. If you are a woman considering these movers, think about what it would be like to be alone with them and have them know where you live. These are dangerous men in many ways. We filed a police report the same day. Austin Police investigated, and the case is now filed in Austin Municipal Court as a Class C misdemeanor. The company acknowledged this in writing but never once called, emailed, or reached out to apologize. Zero contact. They also damaged our property. When I filed a claim, they sent a settlement agreement with a gag clause that would have prevented us from speaking publicly. I refused to sign unless they removed it. They refused. I've attached emails showing their written acknowledgment of the sexual assault report, my request to narrow the gag clause, their refusal, and their complete lack of follow-up after a police investigator visited their office. My friend hired this company to move her because she has a leg injury and could not move herself. Plus, she wanted big strong movers to not have to have friends and family take of work. She spoke to Gerardo at this business and was told that for the quoted price they would set the furniture up. They were supposed to arrive at 11 AM and did not arrive until after 4 PM. They did not have to pack anything because my children and I had gone over and done the packing for our friend. They charged her for packing supplies anyway and doubled the price of the total move. When they arrived at the new apartment, they put everything in the living room and did not set up any furniture. The individuals who showed up to do the move, appeared in experienced. As a US Army veteran, I understand that things don't always go according to plan, and I try to be reasonable and patient. However, after what I've experienced with this company, my patience is completely exhausted, and I feel completely insulted by the way I've been treated. I booked a move for December 24th, 2024, Christmas Eve, which I initially thought was fine if the move could be completed. Little did I know, this would turn into a nightmare. One of your workers even mentioned they were going to cancel the move and reschedule--perhaps they should've done that instead of proceeding with this disaster. To summarize, the movers managed to destroy my Samsung Bespoke refrigerator. Now, I'm sure accidents happen, but what I don't understand is how your company, which boasts 25 years of experience, failed to secure the refrigerator before loading it up. The level of care was absolutely lacking (see the included video). To make matters worse, I feel like your company is doing next to nothing to resolve this situation, and my once perfectly functioning refrigerator is now broken. I feel like this company has completely dropped the ball when it comes to doing their due diligence in replacing the fridge. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this company do so at their own risk. You might have a better chance at moving without issues, but in my case, it has been an absolute mess. The movers clearly lacked proper training, and it shows in the damage to both my property and my home. I paid over $900 for the service, and they didn't even complete the move. For that money, I expected a full and careful relocation of my items--not a botched job where only a few items were moved, two couches, a washer/dryer, and the refrigerator, of course, being destroyed. After the fridge was ruined, it seems like the movers decided to spare my TV--but at that point, the damage had already been done. The settlement offer for my refrigerator was $800, which is not only insulting but also laughable. This refrigerator originally cost me $4,150. Your policy states that, in the case of damage, the company will either repair or replace the item, or offer a cash settlement based on the item's depreciated value. The fridge's depreciated value is not $800. In fact, the exact model is currently selling at Lowe's for $3,298, which makes your offer even more ridiculous. What really frustrates me is that I'm still without a fridge, can't get groceries, and have had spoiled food piling up. Every time I contact customer service, I'm told my claims specialist is "out of office"--how convenient. If this is the way your company treats its customers, it's no wonder there are so many negative reviews. Let's not forget that I also paid $175 for upgraded insurance, which came with zero deductible and coverage up to $5,000. Yet here I am, with an $800 settlement that doesn't even begin to cover the cost of the damage done. And to top it all off, my brand-new home's walls are now scratched up and have holes in them, all thanks to your movers' lack of training. No padding to protect the walls while moving items, no ratchet straps to secure heavy pieces, and no grip pads on the ramp. I hired your company to avoid these kinds of issues, but now I regret that decision more than anything. I can honestly say I would have had better luck doing this myself, with no prior experience in moving, than trusting your so-called "professionals." I'll continue to dispute the $800 settlement, because it is a grossly insufficient and unfair amount. I've had two experiences with All My Sons, and while the first one didn't go very well, Brian made significant efforts to make things right, and when I gave them a second chance, he did not disappoint! I can't say enough good things about Deion and Ronn. They did a great job handling my things with care and listened to how I wanted certain things done (I had some specific requests). They had a great balance of being friendly and personable while remaining professional. Overall, between my 2 experiences, it seemed to boil down to the actual moving crew because Brian was great both times around. Don't hire them. In 2024, two of their employees stole about $13,000 worth of our belongings during a local move. The company did nothing to help, forcing us into court. Absolutely the biggest joke in the moving industry that uses "bait & switch" to trap perspective customers in selecting their service. Not only did my move cost 2x what was "quoted" but the movers assigned PURPOSELY took time doing any g*ddamn actual moving of items to prolong the overall timeline/pay to the job. Oh, not to be remiss, 1 of 2 movers asked to use the restroom 2 minutes after arriving 15 minutes late and stayed in the bathroom for the next 10 minutes with the final result of a massive dump and smell that permeated for quite some time. During the move, one of my nightstands was effectively destroyed and had to be trashed. But the coup de gras was the end of the move (that I actually cut off mid-way through because I could tell that they were stalling for time) where I was given a bill and told that unless I paid all of my stuff would basically be held for ransom. This was the worst experience I've ever had with a moving company. Before they even try to comment some bs comment under this I reached out 4 times to discuss my move and they have been dodging my phone calls and emails. The movers STRONGLY suggested I used 3 people despite never using 3 people in the past. But upon seeing the quality of the 3 people they sent I see why. My family and I had to CONSTANTLY keep them on task, direct them, and at multiple points we had to help out because they were so exhausted. The movers were always taking breaks and phone calls and needing to pause, taking very few boxes at a time, not handling the boxes labeled fragile with care (my candles were broken). Additionally my new apartment had an elevator (not a freight one a regular one) and they were only wanting to use that to move items. This is a problem bc they were holding up the elevator for other tenants snd there was MORE standing around and waiting. At the end of it all when it came time to pay an additional 15 minutes where tacked on to clean up the truck which was not mentioned in the start stop time. The rate promised on the phone was not correctly reflected and I was not notified about other additional charges that might occur. For $200/ hour AND a quality assurance statement in the booking I expected efficient movers, not people asking for my Food, going into my fridge and standing around for 4 hours. When I brought up my concern to the manager he stated "my move was already discounted", "nobody called him during the move" and he'll have his manager call me back. Despite my move being discounted (which they did on their own to gain me as a customer) if im calling and telling you i had a terrible experience thats not the time to throw the sales tactics YALL used to gain me as a customer. $1100, tons of stuff still to move, ignored calls and request, and a very rude manager later. They crew showed up with no tools, I had to pull out my IKEA tool set to assist. They were very unorganized I found pieces of my adjustable bed and had to remind them what it was. They dropped my dresser and broke it. My couch got a scratch even though it was Saran wrapped. They left they're garbage for me to clean up. The managers have absolutely no customer service skills, very snarky and impatient. Some heavy items were deliberately left in the garage so they wouldn't have to keep going up the stair (of course I didn't notice this until after they left). Lastly, they requested payment prior to unloading the furniture which was a first ever in history for me. This has been the worst experience ever and I have moved over 10x so I know a good moving company and this is definitely the WORST by far. When you call to get a quote, they are kind enough to get your business.They tell you some of the charges upfront, but they don't disclose the other charges that are also bundled in. They overcharged for their service and with the two hour minimum they basically charge you a base rate of $500 to $600. Of which the company will only disclose $149 for labor and travel(which are separate 2 charges ) plus +15% for gas, but don't tell you what the 15% based on. They used a dolly for every single piece of furniture and tried to move it individually without teamwork. They damaged Thousands of dollars worth of furniture. We hired All My Sons for a full pack and move. They broke antiques, scratched our vintage pinball machine, my wedding dress was bunched it into a ball and packed with shoes. That's not even all of it. They did so much damage. They even packed stuff we told them not to pack like actual bags of garbage with rotting food, liquids that spilled, and fireworks. They took our dogs food dish, with food still in it and packed it. It was disgusting. Truly the worst experience with a moving company I've ever had. I was quoted one price on the phone and put down my deposit. The "manager" called me later and said they didn't charge me for mileage so it was going to be more expensive. The quote they gave was almost $500 so I told them i wanted to cancel. They refused to give me my deposit back because it was "less than 48 hours before the move" which I had booked about 4 hours prior. When I tried to calmly explain my situation the manager proceeded to yell at me and bully me into keeping the appointment and refused to give me my $100 deposit back. He was truly The biggest jerk I've ever met in my life. The manager then said they had to arrive between 8:30am and 9:30am (despite being told 10 or 11am when scheduling). I made sure to drive two hours to meet the movers in Temple since my mom had a doctor's appointment at 8:3am, but they did not show up on time. I called at 9:30am and asked where they were and they hadn't even left the Pflugerville office yet, so they were still an hour+ away. Finally showed up at 10:45am and we're literally there for 15 minutes to move items from a pod in the front yard back into my mom's home. Almost $500 for 15 minutes worth of work. I did most of the moving myself because they had a bunch of ridiculous rules about not moving live plants, things not in taped boxes, etc. The movers were kind, but I would still NEVER recommend them to anyone or use them again even if there was no one else. read more

I was charged double what was quoted. They showed up an hour late, after I called them. When I called for the quote, I was told that they would want to come in and work as fast as possible so that they could move another house, they had no intention of that. They stood around talking a lot and it wasn't during their break. They worked slow. After their 15 minute break, at least one of them came inside smelling like alcohol. They didn't wrap up our $5000 Peloton treadmill and scratched it up bad. Scratched the walls and didn't say anything. Damaged my wooden nightstand. Put 2 dents in our stainless steel refrigerator. They didn't place all the furniture where it was supposed to go. They took a few things apart then handed me a bag of screws after I asked about it. They didn't bother to put anything back together. And worst of all, I caught one of them in my closet after he was told everything that was needed to move was in the room not the closets. Then at our delivery location, my wife caught the same one going through my work backpack. When I told their supervisor, he said if I didn't have it on camera, I can't prove he stole anything and it's just hearsay. As I told him, I never accused anyone of stealing, only going through personal belongings. The supervisor was not helpful nor apologetic. The company's reviews are misleading and do not represent the real reviews on Yelp. Our moving experience was just terrible overall. Zero stars if I could. When we initially inquired for quotes, they said it would be $550 for 2 hrs for 2 men. We gave them a detailed list of what we had both in our garage & 1B1B. Then Brian/Tony said as long as everything was boxed/packed, it could totally be done in 2 hours, and to meet the 2 hr minimum, we could even hire a 3 man crew and it would be "AROUND" the same time & price. So we were expecting with supplies they used, gas, & such, to charge us around $650... max $700. No, we ended up paying $1177. Which was WAY out of our budget & we feel ROBBED & BLINDSIDED. When our 3 man team showed up, they arrived in a 20FT truck instead of the 26FT truck that my boyfriend & I deposited for. On top of that, they failed to communicate that our original 3 man team was stuck in Waco when originally it was supposed to have been a "small job they were finishing" & then they'd come to us. We were given a 4 hour window of arrival 11am - 3pm, I didn't get a confirmation call until 2:30pm that they were 10 minutes away. Why? Because it was an entirely different crew that was assigned to us last minute since the other crew was in Waco. These men that showed up had already done 2-3 jobs that day & WE were their last ones. So these poor guys were exhausted, 2 were hustling & one was just lagging behind. The other two were trying their best & motivating him to keep going bc time was ticking by, eating our $$$. I had talked to their manager, Tony on the phone multiple times, each & every time he was unpleasant, rude, constantly speaking over me, & not understanding our situation. Even the crew backed me up saying everything would've fit in one trip if they had the 26FT truck, also saying that we were NOT getting our money's worth & to talk to their manager. So Tony finally folded, & offered a "FREE 2ND TRIP". As long as the rest of our things would fit within 6-7FT of the current truck. We get to our new place, they finish unloading the first trip, & we asked them what our total was, $864 at that point in time. Which was surprising, so we called Tony again, and that's when he offered the second trip "free" and that we could get the rest of our things, no worries. The stuff we had in the garage was literally a dresser, broken down bed frame, 2 TV's, & a small nightstand. Super quick & yet we end up getting charged almost $1200 when they finish WITH " a discount of $40"??? And maybe some other things they took off. Point being this could have been easily well over $1500, 3 TIMES more than what we were quoted. They literally said, $550 in 2 hrs if it was done in that time frame, WHICH could have been done if they had sent a crew that wasn't exhausted, eating all our time & had the original 26FT truck we paid for. The travel time was also ridiculous, they were going SO slow on the toll road. They were going at 50MPH on a toll road that's 75-80MPH. With the tolls, the distance between our old & new address was max 15 minutes. And I tried so hard to get Tony to understand all that was happening & he was just a jerk to deal with. All of my interactions with Tony ended up being transferred to my boyfriend Cody who reiterated what I said & to magically see/hear his tone change & switch up, was just flat out so sexist & irritating to me. I tried my best to work with Tony until he started being so disrespectful & all I could do was hand the phone to Cody for him to back me up & deal with him. Crying out of frustration & exhaustion, we paid them, still managed to tip them what we could, considering how much we were screwed over at the total cost & just moped at how crappy our move was. We're in a world where a contractor makes a massive mistake in giving us the wrong sized truck that was PRE-SCHEDULED to have & sent an exhausted crew in substitute of our original crew with NO notice, yet they're angry & frustrated with US giving THE manager a "hard time"?? They held my belongings hostage on the truck and jacked up the price and said if I couldn't or wouldn't pay then I couldn't get my things. I paid in advance so why were they able to do this?!?!?!?! Luckily I had it to pay but what if I didn't. They need a class action lawsuit filed against them!!!!! This company needs to be closed DOWN!!!! If you value your possessions then try another company. This moving company knows they're cheating customers and they know they are going to to do a HORRIBLE JOB!!!! I contacted All My Sons Moving when we put our house on the market and were preparing to move. Their salesman, Sam Martinez, came and gave us an estimate on the cost to move our items from here to a coastal town in Texas. We liked the information and the cost seemed fair. They required a deposit of $ 1000 up front. Sam Martinez assured us the deposit was refundable in the event we did not move. We had a couple of contracts over a period of time but a finalized contract for the house never materialized. We decided to pull the house from the market. I contacted Sam Martinez and Marvin(works at their San Antonio hub) to request a refund of the Deposit. It took 2 months and they finally issued me a check, but it was only for $ 500. I called them back and Marvin stated there should be another check issued. He had contacted Accounts Payable to issue it. At the same time, I had been contacting Sam Martinez since the ball was moving very slowly. He said that he had been talking with his VP and the VP authorized their Accounts Payable to issue payment for the remaining $ 500. I waited over a month and never received anything. I contacted Sam Martinez and he said to wait another week and then call him. I waited another week and there was still no check. I called Sam back and he did nothing. He told me it was out of his hands now and to call their office. He wiped his hands of it. He is the one that took my credit card information for the deposit charge. Now he does not know how to give me my money back or work with the right people on his side to have the refund issued to me. It has been a constant run around for 4 months and I still have not received my $ 500. You cannot contact anyone at a higher level because their phone lines and employees will not allow you to escalate the issue to higher authority. They promise to call you back and never do. Be very careful when dealing with this company. If they cannot refund money that is not theirs, there are some major ethical business practices being violated. This is a simple process that any large company or business should be able to handle quickly and expeditiously. I can only imagine how they would handle any damage claims. Good luck on that. I would not recommend this Company to handle moves. They cannot handle refunding money that is not theirs. What is it called when someone takes money that is not theirs and does not return it? Nightmare! Lucas talked to me on the phone and lied, was rude, disrespectful and arrogant. I told him what I had and he didn't send a big enough truck, so I have to hire another mover to go finish the job. He added another $1000 to my bill, had a fraud hold put on my credit card and told the workers to take my things back to the office. He lied repeatedly, before, during and after. The workers were in agreement and seemed stuck in the middle. As commiserating as they were, they damaged a lot of my furniture, my old house and my new house. None of the boxes marked fragile or glass were handled appropriately. Nothing was sorted to the designated rooms. My sleep number bed was nearly destroyed, my recliner left in pieces as was my sectional sofa, my dresser was left wrapped in a blanket and they ran out of time to do it because Lucas threatened them to get back to the office by 5:30. Lucas had the nerve to call me on my phone and attempted to tell me off, like I had ever raised my voice or cussed at him, but when he said, "Who do you think you are?" I told him goodbye and he called me back to tell me that I couldn't talk to him that way! I hung up again. I won't put up with an employee of mine raising his voice to me or taking that tone and that's what Lucas forgot. He was my employee and I was paying him. And he said he was one of the owners! I can't list everything here, like how scratched up and dented my refrigerator is, but there's more. I checked a different website that says 4.5 stars out of 5. Must have been faked. read more

Willie and Brandon were our movers. The clock started at 9 AM and they got right to work. There were no delays at any point and they did not milk the clock. They were polite, fast and efficient at their jobs. Everything went exactly as planned and customer service called me before, during and after the move to check in. I guess this is another business that I "lucked out" with considering all of the negative reviews on here. read more

Mike & crew were amazing and arrived on-time and walked through the house to see what was going and went to work making it look easy. BEYOND ATROCIOUS! This company was hired to move my 74 year old mother less than 150miles. They were late, extremely unprofessional and didn't complete the job as described. They left the kitchen and office basically untouched and packed up our valuable furniture at a snails pace. After the load was delivered to the location, my mother's credit card didn't accept their charge (probably because they are on a fraud list) and the manager in Baton Rouge named Jarrod ordered his men NOT to download the truck. So my 74 year old mother was stressed beyond belief while this company sat around until the card funded. Sons Moving definitely doesn't care about its employees or their families by letting them burn daylight waiting on a card.....there are many other ways in which to handle this type of situation.
