I went to Dynamic Chiropractic because of a Groupon that included a one-hour massage, chiropractic exam (including x-rays), and a consultation. I was scheduled to see Dr. Tiffany Christie, who was very nice and explained certain issues that I have with my spine. At my second appointment with her, I received my first ever spinal realignment and was satisfied with how I felt afterwards. It felt as though all of my back muscles were relieved of pressure and tightness. I couldn't wait to get my massage (which is the real reason why I got the Groupon) because my back would feel even better afterwards, right? WRONG! The massage I received here was horrible. I did not have a preference of a male or female massage therapist so I was scheduled with the female therapist. This was the most uncomfortable massage that I have ever received. I was in pain for most of the 45-minute massage and she did not focus on the areas that I said were usually the most painful or tight. This was the first time that I did not feel better after getting a professional massage. I figured that I would MAYBE come back just to see Dr. Christie for a follow-up appointment so that she could help me to fix the problems I have with my spine. However, the receptionist couldn't even help me figure out if my insurance covers any chiropractic care. I gave her my insurance card and after fiddling around in the computer for a minute or two, she passed my card back to me and said I will just have to call them myself. This was when I decided that I won't be returning. I want to give this place one star because of the horrible massage, but here's an extra star to Dr. Christie. read more

I was apprehensive to find a new chiropractor after moving to Seattle and having a bad experience with another chiropractor in town. Nonetheless, I found my new chiropractor in Dr. Carr. First, he is a friendly, down to earth, trustworthy guy. I appreciate his honesty, sense of humor, and realistic approach. His adjustments are great and help with my scoliosis. They even have Saturday hours on alternating weeks which is great when the workweek gets crazy. They take all kinds of insurance plans, too. They also offer massage. How have I not reviewed Dr. Carr on here yet?! This is the one business I recommend to everyone I know. Dr. Carr is my primary care physician. He makes it so I can breathe and sit, and without him my boyfriend and I would probably break up. Therefore, let's also consider him a Voodoo Witch Doctor of Love. PURE MAGIC. I was skeptical about going to a clinic downtown and had previously been wary of chiropracty in general. But, Dr. Carr was incredibly easy to work with, I felt comfortable and at ease immediately, and since I started going to him, my quality of life has improved, I am no longer in intense pain, and I have learned a great deal about health and bodies in general. I also appreciated that he x-rayed my bones before cracking them. That's responsible! Now that I'm not stricken by pinched nerves, sciatica, and breath-taking rib subluxations, I still see Dr. Carr regularly, about the same time I top off my car with oil. I consider these "tune ups" to continue enjoying a healthy and normal state of being. I have always found street parking easily, even during rush hours and marathons. For those of us without insurance, I would rate Dynamic Chiropractic as one "$" because for what you're getting, this is truly worth more than the price charged for an adjustment. read more

I started going to this office and was seeing Tiffany Christie DC. She was great and her services helped identify my neck issue. She suggested I get a massage and I scheduled one. My massage therapist was Doug McCreary. This man undid all the work which Dr. Tiffany accomplished. He hurt me in ways I wasn't even aware was possible. Today, the day later I have physical and visible bruises all over my upper body. During my 50 minute massage I groaned in pain, winced, expressed that I wanted less pressure, asked him to not repeat certain movements yet all of these request, physical and verbal queues were ignored. I've NEVER had a massage which I was in pain for nearly the entire process. I thank Dr. Tiffany for the therapy and for putting me on a Denneroll home therapy to assist in my recovery, but as long as this massage terrorist is employed at this office, I shall not set foot inside this office. One day I was getting a therapeutic massage and my practitioner mentioned to me that one of my vertebre (my "C4") was out of alignment. I then felt my neck and noticed a bump on one side and a dimple on the other. Noted. This was the reason I had neck pain for so long! A chiropractor was strongly suggested. Dr. Carr is my first chiropractor (I discovered him at Seattle Gay Pride's expo area way back when it was at Volunteer Park) and will always be *my* chiropractor. He zapped me with X-rays, adjusted my spine right back into alignment, and then gave me all sorts of tips and tricks toward a healthier way of living. His humor and mission to educate are what kept me coming back; his service went beyond his practice, it was informative and always personal. Since first visiting him several years ago I've been back for other needs (strain on my lower back caused by sporting, discomfort in my mid-back from lifting, etc) that have been remedied. With every adjustment I felt comfortable asking questions about my daily posturing habits and Dr. Carr gave great suggestions for stretching, sitting, exercising, and even traveling! Did I mention I was a poor student when I started to see him? His sliding scale made a world of difference. Oh and the guy is a huge Trekkie. HUGE. The size of the gamma quadrant. It would take weeks at warp 9.9 (any faster and it gets dangerous... time... space... it all... gets complicated) to cross Dr. Carr's thick glasses. I wonder if he knew he'd get a client for life when he autographed and gifted his copy of the Star Trek Encyclopedia to a patient? (It was me. ME. Heh!) And finally, to ice the cake, when I moved to New York City those neck pains creeped back up on me and upon contacting Dr. Carr for a referral he hooked me up with a reputable chiropractor here in the city. I have rarely if ever been as impressed by a health practitioner on as many levels as I am impressed by Dr. Carr. I understand it's the whole team that makes the operation do so exceedingly well, but to do this well it has got to have some magic sauce at its core. Dynamic Chiropractic is a well-run operation in every sense of the word. I admire the quality of their treatments (chiropractic as well as massage), their patient communication, their efficiency and ease with billing, the clean and creative design of their office space (Dr. Carr built the reception desk himself), and even the fact that Dr. Carr remembers the name of my partner every time I come in. (This was before my partner left his chiropractor and transferred over to Dynamic Chiropractic himself.) But the thing that indicates the health of the practice the most to me is that I very frequently see the staff interacting in friendship -- they seem to truly enjoy one another and working together, and the energy of the space is a great place to be. I began looking for a chiropractor in spring 2009, and (I think) was more (reasonably) concerned about chiropractic care than the average person. In 2004, at age 23, I lived through a diving accident that compressed my spine by almost an inch and half and left me paralyzed for a period after. Although miraculously nothing broke, I was never quite sure what was going on in there or if manipulating my neck was going to somehow push me over the edge. In short, I really needed to trust the doctor I would see. After visiting multiple chiropractors, and doing a few consultations, I settled on Dr. Carr. He just so obviously put care and integrity into his work, and as I said above, not just in one area - but in the whole operation. I really trusted him, and I still do, and he has done great things for my mobility (and height, even) in the 16 months since. As a matter of fact, I trusted him so much that when my highly skeptical, very stooped East Coast parents (ages 62 and 67) began talking about a trip out west to visit me, I immediately began sorting out their schedule to arrange for them to do x-rays and consultations with Dr. Carr. After many conversations, my parents both elected to do a consultation (with NO expectation of doing a treatment) and I just crossed my fingers and hoped one or the other might go for it the day of our visit. Because of how the timing worked with our plans, when they arrived off the plane, I dragged them directly - with all their luggage - to Dynamic Chiropractic. I couldn't possibly describe how Dr. Carr and Dr. Johnson managed to do what they did by the end of that appointment. In addition to allowing the four of us - my mom, dad, 19-year old (also skeptical) brother and myself - take over their office for about 2 hours of individualized attention, both doctors were able to meet my parents (and bro) exactly where they were energetically and communicated to them about their x-ray results and recommendations brilliantly. (BTW Dad set some kind of record - ok, top 3 - for most forward head posture that the doctor had ever seen...) Dr. Carr had his characteristic lightness and humor about him the whole time and before I knew it my dad was lying on his back having his spine and neck adjusted! Mom was next at that point. Dad I know gained something like 25 degrees of lateral neck mobility just from the first adjustment, and mom gained 1/8 of an inch of height from hers! So we've got another set of appointments scheduled for later in our vacation. Dad really liked Dr. Carr and Mom really liked Dr. Johnson and I'm still stunned about the whole thing. Dr. Carr is a life saver. I've been coming here for about 3 years. He is not pushy, never demands that you come in frequently. It's clear he's there to help you, and does not look at you as a dollar sign. I have very infrequent upper back and hip issues, so I'll come in sporadically, and always feel like a million bucks when I leave. I am now 8 months pregnant, and have been seeing Dr. Carr during the last part of my pregnancy. It's wonderful, since everything is kind of pulled out of whack by my belly! He fixes me up and sends me on my way. Not, of course, without some of his jokester quips. If you have no sense of humor, beware. But I love it. I had been suffering from pain in my arms, chest, and muscle spasms in my back for six months. I had seen my general doctor, a neurologist, a gastroenterologist, and a rheumatologists and spent thousands of dollars on procedures that all said I was healthy and nothing was wrong with me. Dr. Carr is funny, personable, down to earth, knowledgeable, and amazing at his job!!!! I have now been visiting him for adjustments for over 2 years. He not only treats the symptoms, but assesses(sp?) what the problem actually is, and treats it from there. I have a c6 herniated disc, among other past problems-bad knee, sprained wrist, neck area of my spine curves the opposite direction (rare, said to happen at birth), and most recently severe migraines. Pain relievers, muscle relaxers, heat and cold, only help sometimes, and minimally if so. When surgery is not an option (as in my case), Dr. Carr can be a solution!!!!!! I regularly see a chiropractor in the San Francisco Bay Area in CA. I had missed my appointment with my regular chiropractor before my trip to Seattle and thought that I would be ok until I returned home. My back didn't agree and the pain increased to a point where I was unable to stand up straight and I could barely walk. I found Dynamic Chiropractic Clinic on yelp and was pleasantly surprised that they opened at 6:30 in the morning. I inquired on the online form and received an email response that evening to come in to see Dr. Carr in the morning. Dr. Carr was incredibly knowledgeable and was a master adjuster. I had finally found a HUGE relief in pain after the adjustment. It was so good that I went back the next morning before my flight out of town for a second adjustment. I was headed to Chicago for a few days before heading home so it would have been another few days before I would have been able to see my regular chiropractor. I have been struggling with an ankle issue for about a year now as the joint must have been settling and pulling on the ligaments and muscles of my left calf. One unfortunate morning, I woke up to sever lower back pain and knew right away I had to see a chiropractor. Since I had recently relocated to Seattle, I deferred to my company's collective community knowledge. I decided to see Dr. Carr and in-hindsight I am glad I did. I feel so much better after 1 session! I had a back injury from a combination trying out a new home workout (covid, am I right?) and trying to lift a dresser into my car by myself. The day before going in, I was in so much pain I laid on the floor for a moment in tears. I couldn't sit, bend, or really even use my left leg. I realized this wasn't just going to work itself out, so the next day I bought a Groupon and called to make an appointment. They had a busy schedule, but were gracious enough to fit me in the same day. I was greeted by friendly staff, and the chiropractor was the nicest guy. He genuinely wants to educate all his customers about their bodies and body mechanics. He took the time to explain to me what was going on, let me take a photo of the spine model to show my boyfriend exactly where my injury was, adjusted several places, and put kinesio tape on my lower back to give it a rest. The area still hurt some- which he told me it would as my issue was going to take a few adjustments to completely sort out, but I instantly felt so much better! Dr. Carr is wonderful! Working 8 hours in heels tends to mess up ones back and he knows just how to fix it. As if he wasn't already magic enough with his adjustments he also tells delightful little jokes. We exchange a new lame joke (sometimes found off a Laffy Taffy wrapper in my case) every week or two during adjustments and I always leave with a smile and happy spine. My only issue is that his appointments tend to run anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes long and cut into others but that's why we have smart phones to kill time. Dr. Lee is also very good though I've only seen him once while Dr. Carr was on vacation. If you're looking for a massage, Jack is your guy. I've tried all three massage therapists at Dynamic Chiropractic and while the other two were decent Jack is the best. Before the session he asks what's bothering you and then explains what causes it, happy to whip out a huge muscle almanac thing and show you exactly what he's going to work on. read more

I hurt my back at work several years ago, and even though I don't have issues on a regular basis, Mr. Carr has always been very kind and considerate to let me schedule an appointment and have an adjustment. I was seeing him several times a week for about a month, then once a week and then as needed, and he never ever asked me to "help him" with referrals or websites. What I'm seeing on this site is pretty much the same stuff you see you for any business, complaints about billing. That can be remedied by 1. get your bank to send you a copy of your ck or debit card payment (duh) 2. after you have paid and you still receive bills and pay, sue (duh). I've been other chiropractors on the past, and only ONE was unethical and actually made my back worse, as for Mr. Carr, he's been great. I haven't seen him about a year, but now that I'm back working downtown, I have been trying to figure out when it's a good time to swing by and get another adjustment that will take care of me for another year. read more

My right arm went numb after doing some very labor intensive work, and after talking to a doctor (primary care wasn't available that day) I went to see dynamic chiropractic. Was looked at for about 2 minutes and diagnosed with a bulging disc - no xray or anything, which is a very severe injury. The chiropractor joked about how he was able to diagnose me when the doctor couldn't. Was told I needed to come back 2x a week for, well, forever, and given a special pillow. I left super freaked out, but after thinking about it for a few I felt like I had gone to an used car salesman. I called them and it turned out I had been charged $80 for the pillow without any mention of it or cost or desire to have it or anything just a "here, use this pillow." So I returned the pillow, held off on returning, and went to see my primary care a week later. My arm was all better, and it turned out I just bruised my brachial plexus. Tl,Dr; don't trust them, they're just here to keep you coming back and no matter what they're going to find something you need to come back every week for, but never actually fix your problem. read more

I was having serious pain throughout my body that I though was fibromyalgia. I had all the symptoms and a considerable amount of stress. I went in to see Dr. Carr who was unbelievable. He is so knowledgeable, funny, and thorough and his office staff is very friendly. Not to mention the office is in a very convenient location. Secondly I would like to say that Jeanine Ragucci who is a New Yorker is the BEST massage therapist I have ever had. I am in the Spa/Salon business and after 5 sessions with her my pain is gone.
