Best example of The Best OC Martial Arts Studio

This martial arts studio is the BEST in OC!! Great instructors, an amazing Master, Master Gwak is the best, and a fun summer camp for your little ones. You can see your kids grow into amazing and respectful teens to then young successful adults with life skills that are priceless. This studio is full of kindness, support, and leadership for our children to grow into amazing adults. We need more kind and awesome adults, and this place is where it begins. The best Martial Arts Studio for my family and yours.

This place is AMAZING. I have two boys (7 and 4)enrolled and they love it. The instructors are fun and engaging, making it fun for the kids to learn. You can tell that the instructors care about the kids and work with them directly when they need the extra attention.

BROKEN THUMB I went to pick my son up from Taekwondo class. I came a little bit earlier, and I saw my son sitting on a mat and crying while they had the class. I had to wait for them to finish the class for a couple more minutes. My son came to me and was crying and complaining of pain in his hand. His hand was very swollen. We had to go to urgent care right away. At urgent care, they performed 3 X-rays, and my son was diagnosed with a thumb fracture, and they had to put a splint and referred my son to ortho doctor so he can put a hard cast when the swelling goes down. We ended up paying approximately $1000 for all appointments, Xrays, and casts. A few days after the incident (on Saturday), I went to talk to Oscar and told him that my son broke his thumb. The only question Oscar asked: "Only thumb?" I didn't even know what to answer. I wondered why they didn't provide him and ice pack at least and didn' call me. He told me that it looked just fine (that wasn't true) and that's why they didn't do anything. My son said to me that the instructor just told him to be strong and don't cry. I feel very disappointed, and I'm scared my son to continue attending Taekwondo classes even though he liked going there.

Master Gwak and my son after belt test

Dynamic Martial Arts is the perfect place for my son (6) and myself (28). This has been my sons first time learning martial arts and we have seen noticeable improvements with schoolwork, confidence, and overall self-esteem, all of which he had been struggling with. For myself, I had 15 years of martial arts experience prior to starting here and I have spent time in a lot of different schools over the years and this school and Master Gwak are truly something special. I hope to train here for a long time. If you live anywhere in or around Irvine I highly recommend this place for anyone from new students to seasoned experts.

We are so happy we found Dynamic Martial Arts in Irvine. From our very first visit/class, our family felt so welcome. Master Gwak and Instructor Matthew are great with students of all ages. Our daughter Rosemary loves going to Tae Kwon Do class and we can see how it has helped her in other ways. Her confidence and willingness to try new things and/or apply herself in school subjects is noticeable. Robert the teacher for the after school program is good with the kids as well. Our family highly recommends Dynamic Martial Arts in Irvine.

So glad I found this place; I started training at Rounders in February 2026 -- and I will be a…read moremember when you are reading this message! I have been a hobbyist of various martial arts for years. Since day 1, the environment at Rounders was a perfect fit. The people are friendly and helpful. The hours and the selection of martial arts classes are excellent. Every last coach knows their stuff, and they teach both kids and adults classes with professionalism and care. I am also always grateful that the black belts, pro fighters, and other experienced trainees are so helpful during class. Not only do you have knowledgable coaches, but your peers support you here too. I have seen multiple martial arts gyms over the years, especially in Orange County, and while all have nice things to say about them, Rounders just hits every single mark. It's a nice and spacious facility with a great setup, but the people are what make it stand out. My only complaint is that I wish I had started here sooner.

My husband and I have been coming here for a few weeks now, and I seriously cannot say enough…read morepositive things about OC Muay Thai. To start, my husband takes once a week privates and is signed up for their weekly classes. I'm currently in grad school so I take once a week privates. Let me tell you: 1.) You will never find a group of more genuine, kind hearted and caring people to teach you Muay Thai or boot camp. Neil coaches my guy and I and he is such an honest and real person. He pushes you, but always safely. David, the owner, is the coolest and he is so honest - he really cares about the people who come to stay here and even those who just come through. Hamid is an absolute joy to be around - he's always happy and energetic. Despite me entering the gym with 0 knowledge in Muay Thai, I have never once felt judged, embarrassed, or any other negative emotions because these dudes just aren't those types of people. 2.) the gym itself is pretty freaking awesome. It's large, it's spacious, the equipment is good and clean and the ring is kept clean. There's never any weird smell (I'm looking at you 24 hour fitness) and I love that their ceilings are high as hell so that there's just a ton of space. 3.) I cant speak for the classes since I haven't been, but husband LOVES them and he is always happy to go and come back from them. He tells me about how helpful everyone is and how even though people are at different stages, everyone holds each other up. There's no "me versus you" feeling. Everyone is here to learn and egos are checked at the door. 4.) The privates with Neil will kick your ass. Enough said. Neil is a lovely, personable guy and he will push you - but as I said, always safely. For example I got a foot cramp today and he stopped the lesson for a few minutes to help me breathe and stretch through it. All in all, I love this place and it's becoming a second home to my husband and I. I look forward to every day that I come in here and I can't wait to get better.
