I would like to share my experience with Atomic Plumbing. Please read all the reviews before going…read moreto any Plumber! I had a light flash on my hot water heater and called the warranty department. The warranty department informed me we had to do an elemental check and will need a plumber to come out to check the reading. Once the plumber comes out give us (the warranty department) a call and they will walk them through on the issue. I called Atomic Plumbing and explained to the reception on the issue at hand. Gave her full details needed before the tech came and like most people who wrote the review, I too got a diagnostic fee but mine was 198.00. The tech came out, I gave him the details, and he informed me that an additional 130.00 will be added to the diagnostic fee because he was not informed, he had to make a phone call to the warranty office. I shook my head and said no, I was told the diagnostic fee was only going to be 198.00 because of the short notice and we need a tech to come out today. The tech informed me if he makes the call, it would be an hourly rate. Normally the call will take 30 min to an hour or more, he would have to wait on the call, give out details, and eventually delaying him on getting to the problem at hand. I told the tech the work has already been done; we have a case number already in place and they are waiting for his phone call. Tech said he can only do what the company would allow him to do. I agreed to the new price and the tech made the call. The tech gave the case number, and he was immediately routed to the department. The phone call literally took 11.23 min, I clock it. So, the 11.23 min that he was on the phone I was charged 117.00? 117.00 dollars divided by 11.23 min = $10.41852181656278 per second The tech said he will be back with a quote, gave me the quote and I paid for the diagnostic fee total 315.00 (The tech gave me a courtesy credit of 31.50.). I am getting the service done on Friday with another provider who informed me switching out the part should take no less then 20 min and with a quote that was an 84.939759036145% SAVINGS than what atomic plumbing quote. I am highly disappointed with Atomic Plumbing both with the service and with the hidden fees.

Over the phone Jimmy Harrison explained to me that an aged toilet will continue to have issues, leak elsewhere, and said he could bring a Kohler toilet with ADA height and install it the next morning. He kept his promise today, was available earlier and came when I agreed, with his helper Justin, both dressed professionally in clean white shirts. They assembled the new toilet outside, and carefully removed my old one, discovered rusted flange so were able to replace it, cleaned around the area with Clorox wipes and left the new toilet clean and functional. We paid by check which was less than with credit card 3.5% charge. This young man, Jimmy Harrison, is 36, hardworking and started his own business doing anything plumbing with pipes 6 years ago, but working with plumbing since age 17. When we called we'd get no response after multiple attempts, emails would go unanswered, and on and on. The more interactions, the worse the treatment got. When we looked at the DPOR website that checks licensing for the State of Virginia, we quickly learned that the actual company had either been bought out or taken over or merged (however you want to say it), by some company. I don't know the reason(s) for what in my opinion is unsatisfactory customer service or if being acquired has anything to do with it; but....yeah.....in a world gone insane, I don't need the drama of no responses after multiple calls and emails and service I find unacceptable.
