I wanted to share my experience with Atomic Plumbing, hoping it might help others avoid similar situations when choosing a service provider. I called Atomic Plumbing last month to quote a repair for a leaking corroded drain pipe in my crawlspace that caused a strong odor in my home. I clearly communicated the crawlspace's tight space when setting my appointment, and they agreed to send someone suitable for a $95 diagnostic fee. However, the fee for the quote unexpectedly increased to $275 for a relatively brief visit. Security cameras show the technician spent less than 10 minutes in the crawlspace. To make matters even more concerning, the technician claimed there was also a leak in the wall that would be requiring major kitchen repair and gave us a referral card to their preferred restoration company. The technician from Atomic claimed that this was a huge insurance claim and that we would be getting a whole new kitchen out of the ordeal. Three other professionals (from both a plumbing and a water damage restoration company) later confirmed there was no leak in the wall at all. We opted for a pipe swap from galvanized to pvc by removing some drywall under the kitchen cabinets, no cabinet removal or wall restoration was necessary unlike what the technician from Atomic Plumbing told us. I also found it odd that the technician described the damage as extensive but didn't take any photos to show us, unlike the other contractors who documented everything and deemed the issue manageable. I was leaning towards going with Atomic Plumbing initially. They had good availability and could've gotten the done the job sooner than the other company that I received a quote from. They did have a very quick response time, as they were at my house within an hour and a half of calling them Unfortunately the cost for just a quote jumping from $95 to $275 without any warning felt like a bait and switch, and is what ultimately made me decide to call another company for second opinions and repairs. I'm very thankful I trusted my gut and didn't go with Atomic and have my kitchen ripped apart for no reason. read more

First time I needed to call a plumber ever. Reviews for Atomic were really good so I called them. Chris was the plumber they sent and he was knowledgeable, hard working, and overall a really good guy. First thing I noticed when the plumber got here was that he put plastic coverings over his boots every time he came into the house. Once he took a look at what I had going on he gave me two quotes, dependent on what he would have to do. He was thorough, professional, and got everything figured out. I can't really speak on the price, because I'm not sure what's pricey and what's not for plumbing. What I will say is I thought it was a fair price and it came under what I was initially anticipating. Issue: Kitchen sink drain was backed up. The garbage disposal was still working but the side of the sink associated with the garbage disposal was not draining. Reached out via Yelp at 8:20am. I received a response at 8:30am. 9:00am I was informed that the tech was on the way. 9:45am the technician (Jamie), arrived and quickly determined a course of action. 10:15am I was submitting payment for a completed job. I needed emergency services for my kitchen. Water was leaking out of our sink and into the dining room through the walls. I called Atomic and the lady was super friendly and patient with me on the phone as she asked the necessary questions. She disclosed all information. I was called back with confirmation of arrival. They were there less than 45 minutes. Michael was super professional and friendly. He was able to unclog the drain and was done in less than 45 minutes from arrival. It was $95 to come out but was waived when we paid for the services rendered which was a hefty $425. To be clear, they did state this in the first phone call that it was $425/hour and he did say the unclogging could be anywhere from 15 minutes to over an hour. We were lucky enough to have it done in less than 30 minutes. Expensive? a little. but it was worth it. Great service. read more

By far the most unprofessional appointment I have had from the receptionist to the tech. receptionist was unprofessional and The tech came in and didn't want to do the work. He came to check for leaks didn't even turn the water on and instantly started cussing saying this is more than he expected to do. The guy came Wednesday to do leak inspection called Friday for the invoice they said they'll reach out to him. Then come Monday I had to call again because I still.didnt receive the information. This receptionist was nice said she'll call back and she did then notified me the guy added a number to my account(I'm assuming a call back number just in case they wanted to know how he did) she erased the number for me. I called another company and the guy found the leak within 10 minutes I explained the exact same thing I did to there tech he went in the attic asked me to turn the water on and he found the leak. This atomic tech just made excuses tried to write a report that was incorrect tried to charge extra 275 to check for leaks I. Celling when the celling and pipes are fully exposed. I had an upstairs shower that needed to be replaced with plumbing due to a large leak issue. The original technician who unclogged a pipe issue in my downstairs bathroom earlier was the same technician who assessed the shower leak upstairs. He did not communicate the quote properly for the work that was needed and did not know what this job required. They are personable and timely. Their invoice was thoroughly written where the technician narrated the steps he took to diagnose the problem. It's refreshing to know that they don't use the service call to upsell their service; or even worse, use scare tactics that make you feel that if you don't purchase a new item that things aren't as efficient. We returned home from a long vacation to find our hot water heater had stopped working. My wife was disappointed because she was eager to take a hot bath. So, I called Atomic Plumbing. From the moment I spoke to the representative on the phone to the time the job was completed, the entire process was handled with professionalism. By the end of the day, we had a new hot water tank installed, and my wife was able to enjoy her bath. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the work and the level of service provided. While I've read some reviews mentioning that their prices may be a bit high, based on my experience, I believe it was well worth the investment. I would not hesitate to call them again. Originally I had an issue with Atomic Plumbing and their pricing. The owner asked me to contact one of his service managers, so I did. I talked to Paul, who was very gracious and understanding. While he was willing to even reimburse me for the $95 fee they charge to come out, inspect, and provide a quote, I declined and asked if they could instead send someone out to re-evaluate what needed to be done. He did just that. Atomic sent a new crew, they re-evaluated the work and made sure it was done within a very reasonable price. They worked hard, worked clean, and ultimately made sure the job was done and done well. The workers were fantastic and friendly as could be, too. I called Atomic Plumbing in the afternoon and they got someone over to my house the next morning. Justin Ricker was the technician that did the work. He was very professional and friendly. The work was completed quickly at a high standard of quality. This was the second time that I have called this company and both times it has been a good experience. I have used Atomic Plumbing in past years for a new hot water heater in 2021 and faucets and toilets way back in I believe 2012 I was always please with their work and service top notch but as with all good things this too must end. I called Atomic for a shower faucet issue the water had stopped coming out of the spa shower faucet mounted to the wall this shower had been remodeled back in 2023 it would begin to run once it was on for 10 minutes which was strange. I was unaware it was still under warranty from Mr. Fix It, the remodeling company which I discovered once I called them while the technicians were here from Atomic Plumbing. My concern is the technician from Atomic was going down the path suggesting cutting open the wall or the fiberglass shower surround insert and I should research the Jacuzzi faucet/shower spa that was used for a replacement or model, I should do this I thought I hired you? Long story short Matt the technician from Mr. Fix It came the next day promptly at 8:30am assessed the issue replaced the cartridge in the on/off valve and the entire shower spa fixture was mounted almost like a quick disconnect to the wall which you would have noticed had the 2 trim rings been moved back from the wall so he removed the entire fixture in maybe 5 minutes and installed an exact replacement which I would not have expected Atomic to have in about 5 more minutes so this entire job was completed in 20 minutes start to finish including fixing some caulking that had discolored from black mold and inspecting all the work. His bill was zero since it was under warranty. Atomics bill including travel fee was $290 which I paid my issue is why are we discussing cutting open walls and shower surrounds and getting a fiberglass repair person when there was no leak in the walls which you would see on the first floor ceiling since this bathroom was on the second floor. More concerning was the fact and this spa fixture was removed and replaced including the on/off lever cartridge in less than 20 minutes? We needed to fix a leak that wasn't a difficult job, After several attempts on our own, we determined that the handle could not be taken off without either breaking the handle and possibly causing potential expensive damage to pipes and structures. Hence, leading us to hire Atomic plumbing. *If you have plumbing issues arise, I highly suggest you call as soon as possible. It was in mid November of last year when I called. Atomic was able to accommodate me within 3-5 days. Whereas, other companies I had called didn't have the same extensive amount of plumbers available until weeks to months later. PROS: The dispatchers are very professional, helpful, kind and listen! Paul (Manager) is reasonable and fair. Plumbers/technicians- respectful, explain the plan of what needs to be done, what they will do Preparation: Parts- this is a hard one to determine. You might be able to figure out which parts you need, but the difficulty lies with which TYPE/model? So unless you are able to bring the actual parts or get eyes on the specific parts you need to replace, it makes purchasing them difficult ahead of time on your own. And if you did, I don't know that it would necessarily impact the cost of the plumbing job as Atomic's price is a flat rate. I know that they had our specific cartridge on hand, but our bathtub faucet handle they did not. By the time they were able to get the handle off, the local plumbing store was closed/closing within 10-15 minutes. We were told we would have to purchase a handle the next day at a local store and replace it ourselves. Which we did and was easy. I brought in the old handle and the guy from Comet plumbing was able to provide a comparable handle. Service- Plan on taking an entire day off, like any field of delivery or home service, time frames are merely a suggestion. You won't know what time of the day specifically they will arrive until an hour or so before. ATOMIC doesn't specify times or alert customers that the plumber(s) are on their way until they are within an hour or two window of nearing your home. There are too many variables that do not permit specific arrival times. We were provided a specific day, however specific times are not given due to inability to predict the duration of jobs as they can vary in difficulty and they can't determine that until they perform the assessment. I called the day before to confirm that we were still on the schedule. It was determined we were definitely not going to be one of their first appointments, but we would be updated as the day progresses. The dispatchers informed me they would update us once they were nearing our address. Which they did twice and it was greatly appreciated. I think we were last on their list as the the plumber and his apprentice arrived close to 4pm. They introduced themselves, had shoe covers, and waited to be invited in. I asked them to wear masks and they respectfully obliged, donning the masks prior to entering. I also did mention my preference for staff to mask while in my house when I booked the company. The employees are all vaccinated from my understanding. However, the customers they have serviced prior to me, I wouldn't personally know their vaccination status. Hence, my extra precautions. The plumber and his apprentice did a quick assessment of several issues I had inquired about. They went back to their truck, devised a price and came back with the number on the tablet. The pricing is a flat rate. My husband and I saw the quote and we verbalized that the price was on the higher end, and begrudgingly acknowledged we needed the leak fixed. We felt the quote was seriously overpriced for what the job entailed. We weren't offered to negotiate the price, nor did the plumber offer to speak to a manager regarding adjusting a reasonable price. The work needed to be done. I wasn't satisfied with the initial charge of the service and for the amount charged, that we still had to pick up and pay an additional cost for the handle. I called back the next day to discuss my dissatisfaction with the price paid. After speaking with Paul, the manager I was happy with the way (Paul) he resolved the matter. He definitely has a good and fair process of resolving issues. Paul should be the gold standard for any service oriented business. He promptly spoke to me over the phone. He LISTENED to me, acknowledging my concerns, and asked me for my input in resolving the matter in which we could agree upon. He then provided a timeframe in which he would respond once he consulted with the plumber involved. I was thoroughly pleased that it was mutually and respectfully resolved. read more

James and Bradley did an excellent job diagnosing my plumbing issue. My bathroom started to smell like cabbage (sewer gas, I later understood) and my toilet started to leak at the base. As they suspected, it was the ring under the toilet, and, as it turned out the flange. They provided a fair quote and a promised to get the work done quickly and efficently. This time they had to cut through our raised slab foundation to repair a drain pipe that had a hole in it that was caused by our Termite Company when they drilled through the foundation.
