They found out the problem was not my roof, but on my neighbors, so there's nothing they could do, right? Wrong, they worked out a deal to help us get my neighbors roof fixed immediately so that the problem would not get worse over the next 3 days of rain we are expecting I have no patience for dealing with home related problems, and I try to find companies that care about their reputation and the quality of their work for this exact reason. They walked us through all the options, gave estimates for everything, even took drone shots of our roof so we could see exactly what work they proposed and why. They installed a rubber roof on our low-slope kitchen addition and did a very nice job of it. The one hiccup was that a contractor forgot to clean up all the nails before leaving. To my surprise, the owner of the company personally came out to apologize and went around our back yard with a magnet to clean up the remaining debris himself. Based off conversations and other reviews, it appears they use subcontractors which I imagine keep costs lower. The quote/proposal has a decent amount of information, I'd probably say a little better than the average of the 7 quotes so that's always a plus for the customer. Company representative was kind, responsive and helpful at the beginning however after providing the original proposal, additional documentation was offered to be provided to help with the process from the company/representative and for whatever reason that seemed to be the big issue. Each week for about a month, certain documentation which the representative voluntarily offered to provide was promised to be provided and each week it was never received and the same apology for being busy was given. It's understandable that people are busy/have outside factors going on in life but why promise to provide something and then give a reason to why it didn't happen for each week going on 3+ weeks. After checking in on the paperwork not being received and wondering when it's going to happen, the representative got very irritated along with some interesting words but basically said good luck and moved on. I'd say more but the representative seemed pretty unhinged so I'll leave it at that and let you decide for yourself. Can't speak for the type of work done, however the experience was strange but on the positive side the price was competitive for sure.

Also, I later learned that even though I was billed for permits, the city had no record of any application for permits. It speaks volumes when a business does not honor its work. It represents very low integrity and a lack of pride in the workmanship. Of course it is convenient but not accurate to send a self interested party (its an employee)out to say what you want them to say, but the reality is the work was shoddy and did not solve the existing problem.
