I had Kirkin come out diagnose the problem with my ten year old roof that was leaking. They did and proposed to fix it for over 3k. The first time it rained after they allegedly fixed it water came in in multiple places. Spoke with the GM Andrew Minear and he had the audacity to say they would come back out and charge me more to fix what they already charged me to fix the same problem. I will NEVER use them again. I do not trust them to do a good job and honor their work. See BBB and google reviews on this company. The worked requested and contracted for was the exact same area that continued to leak. It speaks volumes when a business does not honor its work. It represents very low integrity and a lack of pride in the workmanship. Of course it is convenient but not accurate to send a self interested party (its an employee)out to say what you want them to say, but the reality is the work was shoddy and did not solve the existing problem. I had my roof replaced by Kirkin Exteriors and they are very professional and did a great job. Kirkin Exteriors helped me with my insurance claim and also helped me after the job was completed to get reimbursed for depreciation from my insurance company. In the end, I didn't have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses. They cleaned up after the job was done and were very courteous and respectful of my property. I called Kirkin Exteriors on the recommendation of one of my co-workers because I had wind damage to my roof. They came out within a couple days to inspect the damage. They told me I could file a claim for the damage with my homeowners insurance (which I had no idea I could do.) Sure enough, the adjuster came out and approved a roof replacement due to wind damage. Chris kept in constant touch with me throughout the whole process. He explained everything to me in simple terms and the setup process was a cinch! Before the scheduled date of install, I noticed I had a couple water stains on my ceiling from a heavy rain storm. I called Kirkin up and within 24 hours, they came out and installed a tarp to protect my home from any further water damage. Finally, on the day of the install, they were truly amazing. Everything went like clockwork! The crew started to arrive at 6:30 that morning and got to work promptly at 7:00. As they were finishing up the removal of the old shingles, the new shingles arrived. The crew was very friendly and professional. When I had to walk out of the house, they were cognizant of that and would immediately stop working so I could leave and re-enter my home safely. The whole job, from start to finish, took only 3 1/2 hours. I've seen some roofing companies take a whole day to do a roof. They were fast, professional and when they left, the perimeter of my property was cleaner than when they arrived! I couldn't be happier with the job they did. Kirkin Roofing came out to seal some nail heads on a roof and do a repair on a botched repair by another company who incorrectly uninstalled and sealed holes left behind from removing solar panels. Kirkin staff (both in office and contractor) was courteous, knowledgeable, clean, timely, and did an all around fantastic job for a great price. Read every word of a contract Kirkin Roofing asks you to sign. I called for a roof repair and told Dan Rankin that I only wanted to repair my roof, he told me he could get my entire roof replaced through my home insurance and asked my permission to submit an estimate to my insurance company. Two different contracts?, I signed 1 for the repair and 1 for the request to the insurance company, in small print states if you use a different company Kirkin roofing is entitled to 33% of the cost of the replacement. He never disclosed this in the job interview. He also missed the appointment with the insurance adjuster and me and sent the message through the adjuster. Gave Dan a second interview to present the replacement cost and he promised at the time a leak would be repaired, didn't happen. No mention again that I signed a financial penalty if Kirkin was not to do the roof replacement. He gave a professional presentation but provided no pamphlets or paperwork about their work or product for me to keep. Not even a small sample of the roofing tile. Another roofing more professional presentation, a booklet, recommendations of buildings I can physically visit and verify and 2 large tiles I have sitting in my home.
