For me, this place looks way cooler then it is. I like the show case in the windows, inside the walls are covered floor to ceiling with interesting shit.The selection is kinda all over the place, again that's for me. Lots of crap records with some good stuff mixed in few and far between for good prices, but I was hesitant to buy anything because the condition of everything is pretty bad. My fingers are literally black after 30minutes or however long I was there haha. I'd recommend stopping in and killing some time because depending on what you're looking for, it's a big hit or miss. read more

A great place to find some old classics, talking heads, led zeppelin, neil young, bob dylan, david bowie, the beatles, etc. sometimes i come in and i find such a great buy for a good price! The owner is a real friendly laid back guy. Always some good tunes playing in the background. If your looking for brand new music this probably isn't for you but if you want some classics for a good price you gotta check it out! read more

Very 60s store with posters, records, and vintage audio equipment everywhere. but I would be very hesitant to buy anything because the quality of the records I looked at was deplorable. Thrift store condition or worse. Prices were a bit high considering the miserable condition. Owner is quite talkative, he would be better served by paying attention to the condition of the records he buys rather than talking about the concerts he saw 30 years ago! read more

I had to go to rehab down the street. The first thing they told me was "Don't, under any circumstances, go into that record store, or you will be kicked out of the program and sent back to jail!". After the meeting was over I skated down there and found out why, and have been a fan ever since! Turns out I knew Dyzzy from the Starting Gate, home of Steeler Football since the 80's. His store is great and the customers who frequent it are as unique as it gets. Happy Hour begins at 4:20 (unless your name is David III, who is happy all day long) and the strippers show up after 7. My friendly neighborhood record shop! Every time I walk into this shop, I get the feeling like I am home. The store is a little small, but it just adds to the atmosphere. Records are piled everywhere, with everything from bluegrass to hip hop, metal to bebop, rock to classical, they have everything! Another great part about Dizzy, is the bargain bins! I have gotten elton john, tommy james, grateful dead, Mozart, creedence clearwater revival, and ray charles all for a dollar a record! That is unbelievable compared to other record shops who sell the same records for five times the price! The store is very quaint, Dizzy, the owner, is a delight and the selection and prices cant be beat. Ill be back again very soon. read more

Great selection on vinyls. I loved how the walls were covered with LPs! Don't expect modern albums, instead find some hidden gems and amazing collections of classics! I bought most of my vinyls from here at a great price. The atmosphere at this store was amazing, from the decor of LPs to the dusty mass amount of vinyls, and the great music playing in the background! Dizzy on Vinyl is such a pleasant and nostalgic experience for any record collector who remembers what small neighborhood record stores were like in the 60s through the 80s. Stroll into DOV and marvel at the vinyl, CDs, DVDs, magazines, cassettes (even 8 tracks!) and vintage stereo equipment. (I bought a choice Sony cassette player there). There's lots of weird or funny or historic album covers hanging up everywhere. The friendly owner, Kevin, is very knowledgeable about music and is more than happy to talk about it with you. This place is a treasure. Visit it and enjoy the fact that it even exists. read more

This place is OK, you have to be willing to DIG DIG DIG to find those hidden gems. Organization is sort of random. Dyzzy is a cool guy. Record condition tends to be on the average to poor side. My typical hunt involves Jazz and I don't think I've found one Jazz record worth buying here. For classic rock they have a pretty good selection. But overall, nice place worth a visit every now and again. read more

Here is another great example of a good dusty record store. Owner is way cool, looks a lil crazy...but he's on the level. I am always suprised on what is in this store in aspects to all genres, good random stuff. But ive always walked away with something ive been looking for everytime. I was visiting down from Oregon and stopped by to see if I could find some rare records. Wow! what a place. The owner knows his stuff and he has records that must be collectors items. He put a couple records to disc for me that I picked up before leaving town. I am already making my list for the next time I go to So. Cal. to visit family.
