Everything was going well until Eddie started asking me personal religious based questions, told me I was cursed and demanded to pray over me to shed my arthritis curse. We were offended by his automatic assumption of our faith. He then told us that another person would be arriving a few days later to double check his window measurements and said he would be returning to follow up on how my curse was lifted. If that wasn't enough, he attempted to call my cell phone and said he wanted to clarify something on the order and to get back to him. We noticed on our receipt that the information he was requesting was already CLEARLY WRITTEN ON OUR ORDER INFORMATION COPY! We figured out the phone call was an attempted to take an opportunity to invite him to his church, which he had previously informed us that he was also a minister. We felt this double solicitation was highly unprofessional. When we called and complained about Eddie, they didn't seemed at all phased about our complaint. They weren't eager to keep our business. They simply refunded our deposit and went about their day. We went with another shutter company. Window blinds aren't rocket science. We found that they are pretty much all the same, like buying aluminum foil. Options, finishes and styles were almost all identical from all 3 other shutter companies we interviewed. The only thing to shop is price. But if you get a consult from E&J, and they send some 75 year old bible thumping man to your door, best be warned you're going to get more than a Blinds/Shutters quote. read more

Top and bottom can be opened/ closed separately. They also have ones with the bar/stick hidden in the back (more $ but easier to clean). They also have blinds (it's buy one get one free right now but I don't like blinds as much). They also have roller blinds (NOT PART OF THE B1G1 deal though). Blackout for the rollers and light filtering. I'd say blackout for bedrooms and light filtering for common areas. Oh they also have motors for the rollers too! Overall, love these guys. My sister received three estimates and decided to go with E&J because of a neighbor's recommendation, they fabricate their own product locally in Corona and the price beat two others by a substantial amount. The shutter was beautiful, and installed when promised. I decided it was time for me to get rid of my ancient window coverings and decided to go with shutters. I am no stranger to shutters as I had them installed in another home. On the day of my sister's install, her representative, Alysha Medina who attended the install, was able to come to my house and give me an estimate. I decided I wanted wooden plantation shutters on all of my nine windows and two sliding glass doors with a 50/50 feature and reverse adjustment bars. My small house in Fountain Valley is all windows and sliders in the back and side so I was very anxious on the outcome. Alysha measured the windows and doors, gave me a quote and recommended I get vinyl rather than wood over the sink. I was very satisfied with the cost of custom made shutters including the installation. Thanks to my sister shopping other companies, i decided to get the job done. E&J sent out Allan to confirm Alysha's measurements which was very comforting to me. I was promised 3-5 weeks on installation and it was one day before the three weeks as promised. Install was confirmed on the day before with arrival time. Leo and Manuel were the installers and without a doubt knew exactly what they were doing. The installation and accuracy of their hard work was worth every penny I spent. It truly was a pleasant experience and I couldn't be more satisfied.
