Great customer service and everyone I spoke with was very nice and professional. However, I am extremely unhappy with the actual installation and final product. First, the installation team left without addressing the cracks/damage to my windowsill. They obviously saw the damage but did not mention it or let me know that someone would be scheduled to come back and fix it. I had to call the company myself and send pictures before they sent someone out. When they came back, all they did was sand down the damaged area and fill it in. I am also very disappointed with the fit of the shutters. I was told afterward that the shutters are not custom-sized and that the gap around them is "industry standard" because of the sizing of new-build windows. The gap is large enough that you can actually see the screws, which makes the shutters look like they were not properly sized for the window. What makes this even more disappointing is that their website advertises "custom shutters" and describes their shutters as having a "perfect fit." Someone came to my home to measure my windows before I purchased them, so I was under the impression that the shutters would be custom measured and ordered specifically for my windows. I was also told that I would have to wait weeks for the shutters because they needed to be ordered in the correct size. The final result does not look or feel like a custom, perfect-fit installation. When someone finally came out to address the damaged windowsill, I was also told that if I wanted to cover the large gap, I should purchase a weather stripping product from Amazon and install it myself. I was very surprised that after spending $1,500 on two windows, I was being directed to purchase something myself to make the shutters look properly finished. Had I known beforehand that there would be a noticeable gap, visible screws, and that I would essentially need to add my own weather stripping to make the installation look finished, I would have purchased from a different company. I spent approximately $1,500 on shutters for just two windows, so I expected a much better fit and finish. I understand that some clearance may be necessary for installation, but the large gap and visible screws are not what I expected from a company advertising custom shutters and a perfect fit. Overall, while the customer service was pleasant, I am extremely disappointed with the final product and the way the installation issues were handled. I wish the expectations regarding sizing, gaps, and installation had been made clear before I made the purchase. read more

Wow Wow Wow! What an amazing company, where do I even start! First off, Ryan the legend (aka designer/sales Rep) was such a patient person, personable and detail oriented. He knew my family had gone through a lot from Eaton Fires last year and moving back home has had many issues and obstacles with a HUGE financial strain of rebuilding post-fire. However, he made the process of ordering the perfect shutters for 12 very large floor to ceiling windows very easy! He brought numerous samples, looked at every little detail and double checked his measurements multiple times. Initially, our project started off for just the living room and dinning room due to financial limitations. But he knew I wanted to do the two primary bedrooms as well so he gave me options within my price point and forever grateful for his generosity. It took about 8 weeks to get all the windows treatments made since everything is custom and it was soooooo worth it. The quality is what you pay for and the peace of mind you get with the warranty is the best deal you could ever get. I highly recommend this company to anyone and don't be shy, they work with any budget, small or big projects. This is the best place for window treatments! Now install day was such a seamless process, Tony and John were so efficient, clean and respectful to our home. We just bought a house in The Preserve area in Chino. The new house has 27 windows. Brian came out and measured our windows and went over options with me. I was worried about the cost, but his estimate came in very reasonable for what we wanted. We were able to get double rollers on the windows that we wanted black out potential and privacy shades on the windows that didn't. While we were waiting for our blinds to be delivered, Brian came and put paper shades up so we could function in our new home. Our installation was a little bumpy, but I appreciated that the problem was treated as an all hands on deck situation, and we even had one of the owners here to insure that the rest of the installation went smoothly. I used their website to request a quote and recieved a call back from Irene. Irene set the appointment and let me know either Kenny or another salesman will come to my house. Kenny was punctual for the appointment and was friendly! Keenly measured and showed us samples. My wife picked her shades and put a deposit. Two days after our install, I reached out to our original salesperson, Brian, via text and posted to Yelp our review with a few small concerns. Brian immediately replied that he was forwarding to his office - even though I found out later he was on vacation! Within a few hours, Andy was at house house. He resolved all three small issues that we had with the blinds, as well as talking through the other two points of feedback I had provided. I'm a new home owner here in the Ontario Ranch area. I picked Excellent Blinds and Shutters because of the top reviews earlier this December. Brian came over at my own schedule for a free consultation, measurements, and pricing quote. Honestly, I did not want to waste time consulting with multiple companies for the cheapest price as I knew that shutters will cost quite a bit and if I was not willing to spend for that, I would have done blinds or just curtains myself. With that being said, Brian quoted me and gave me 15% off for the holiday discount, which I wasn't even expecting. I was considering doing wood, which is way more expensive and asked for Brian's opinion. He said wood requires heavy maintenance, degrades over time, and is very sensitive to temperature and moisture that can easily be damaged. He said that certain cities, wood would be a good option, but definitely not here in SoCal. Faux wood is easy to maintain just with a microfiber cloth to wipe down once every so often so I went with that instead. He even offered me to check out other local sellers and he would hold onto our price which surprised me too. Very professional, yet casual and willing to wait on the customer deserves 5 stars and my payment. So yeah, after the consultation and offer, I told Brian I don't want to waste time just to save a few hundred bucks by looking around and signed their contract right then and there put down my deposit. Their company is 5 stars with 300+ reviews for a reason. Brian also mentioned there's a limited warranty and if anything happens, just contact them and they'll fix/replace whatever is damaged. Just an FYI, the time frame is about a 2 week wait from the time of the consultation till your appointment for the installers. Shutter installers just finished today and I am more than ecstatic and satisfied with my purchase. IF I had to nit pick just a tiny bit, they didn't completely wipe down the panels after placing them as there was some dust/shavings or whatever lingering on some of them on the 2nd floor, but it was simple enough just to wipe it off with my microfiber cloth. No nicks, no scratches, and they said they patch up the screws with plaster so you don't see it. Fantastic job. Highly recommended. read more

We had wood shutters manufactured and installed by Excellent Blinds and Shutters. They were custom-made so it took less than 2 months for them to manufacture. The installers were courteous and worked hard to install the shutters. They look great. We appreciate that the shutters open and close with a little resistance so they don't slam shut or open. Also the mechanism that moves the shutters is small and behind the shutters which give them a sleek look. We use to have dark brown blinds and now our house is much brighter with the white shutters reflecting sunlight. The trim/moulding in the frame looks nice too.
