I called and the pushed the business they had for that day back. They replaced the bad new unit with a replacement at no charge. As I was leaving one of the customers who's work got pushed back was asking when his car would be fixed. Rob worked 4 hours past quitting time to make sure he had his vehicle the day he promised it. I responded that they could have led with that, to which he says "well you could have acted like an adult" and hung up on me. Most unprofessional conduct I have experienced in decades. I went to Belle Tire as I knew the actuator was going out on the driver's side, which I told the attendant. I was expecting the estimate to be between $150-$300. I was called back with an estimate of $933.26. I said that seems extremely high. I was told that it would take 5.5 hours to do the repair. I told them I did not want any repair done. When I came to pick up my car, I was given an invoice of $100 for diagnosing that the actuator needed to be replaced on the driver's side...what I told them when I dropped off the car. I went to another repair place across from Lapeer EMS. They fixed the actuator in less than two hours from dropping the car off and charged me $145.12. I sent this to Belle Tire, but did not receive any follow up. After this experience, I cannot be confident that they will offer a fair estimate. I do not do business with companies I do not trust.
