My normal go to is your standard iced coffee/cold brew, but I recently discovered their specialty drinks including the What's Shakin', which is their spin on the ole shaken espressos from the chain spots...and honestly, they do it way better! While I have not varied in my orders too much, I am impressed with the drinks I have enjoyed, along with the service and preparation that goes into it as well. This space is smaller than most of their other spots, so limited seating, but most folks are in and out given its location downtown. The cooks were throwing down in that kitchen! Over a couple of days I tried a few things. SZECHUAN SALAD I got the Szechuan Salad with both kale and spinach. I added tempeh bacon and extra dressing on the side. (It didn't need the extra dressing though.) This salad is SO good! I had to force myself to put the fork down and not overeat. It's a large portion so you can share or save half for another day. (When doing this I recommend getting the dressings on the side to prevent soggy greens.) All of the ingredients tasted super fresh, and that Szechuan tofu was thoroughly marinated. Deliciousness! The tempeh (and at home avocado) that I added wasn't necessary but it sure was tasty. This salad is gluten free. SZECHUAN BRUSSELS I love me some roasted brussels sprouts so it was a must to try theirs. I added jalapeños and Hot Tempeh. I have no idea what Hot Tempeh is but I wanted to try it. Best decision ever. The dish itself is amazing. 10/10! The sprouts are saturated in the Szechuan sauce and spices, so every tender bite bursts with tantalizing flavors in your mouth. The Hot Tempeh is tempeh with a coating. It's quite delicious and it elevated an already soaring experience for me. The Szechuan Brussels dish is gluten free, but the Hot Tempeh is not (because of the breading). DUBAI CHOCOLATE CAKE Because I had to. It was NOT gluten free, but I risked it (I have a gluten sensitivity). They did have a gluten free chocolate cake and a gluten free brownie à la mode dish, but I needed that Dubai Chocolate. It was delicious. BLUEBERRY PANCAKES I ordered a single pancake, gluten free for $1 extra. So fluffy and buttery. You'd never guess it was gluten free or vegan. ROASTED POTATOES Excellent preparation and seasonings. MOCK TUNA MELT Gluten free when ordered as a bowl. It was served on a bed of spinach instead of bread. I omitted the cheese and tomatoes. It was very good and the chipotle sauce had a great kick. It is a blend of orange, apple, pineapple, and ginger. It was very refreshing. I always appreciate when juice is served in a glass bottle that can either be reused or recycled after! I will definitely be back for more yoga and more juice!
