This is my neighborhood smoothie/juice joint, and I've been here several times! I usually order ahead online, but I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes if I do decide to just stop in and order in-person. It's so nice to have an easy, healthy option nearby when I'm in need of a quick meal on the go. The quality of their smoothies has been consistent on every visit. Of the flavors I've tried, I think the Liquid Lunch is my favorite. It's classic and always hits. Most recently, I tried the Dreamsicle, which is good too, just a bit sweet for me. My husband loves The Green Machine - it definitely tastes "green" if you know what I mean, but he quite enjoys it. Surprisingly, I have yet to try the juice or any of the food options ... Visit this place often and typically get a protein drink. Today was my second time getting a chicken wrap + quinoa. Before making the purchase, I asked the worker about the shelf life of the wraps as I noticed they had different dates on them. I was told they are good for 3 days. So, I chose one dated 9/18. It made me sick! Immediately after consuming only HALF of the wrap, I had to go. Hours later and my stomach still isn't better. Do not recommend the wraps. read more

Our family of four came here for a healthy lunch and we were very pleased with the offerings. The kids loved the funky chairs and games while we waited. We chose between an offering of juices, energy bites, smoothies and açaí bowls. The ingredients were fresh and tasty and pretty quick. The service behind the counter was pleasant and efficient. The lady at the register informed him that she "couldn't make any juice because she had already turned the juicer machine off." While I understand some businesses do this to get ahead of rush hours, there were about 4-5 people working at this small location-doing nothing. No reason to not be able to provide fresh food. They would not make anything that was not prepackaged thus eliminating half of their menu lol I did get an açaí bowl which tasted phenomenal - hence two stars. read more

Fortunately they had the smoothie I wanted and made that quickly for me. I wasn't really impressed with it overall (the green smoothie). I think I would have liked it better if there wasn't beeswax in it. It left a weird coating in my mouth that was off-putting. Management, get some structure on the line and have a SOP for the line and bumping orders. It shouldn't take 30 minutes for a wrap with 5-7 people in the building. Sense of urgency is a must! I'm from Newport Beach and prices are higher here. I find that odd. Make sure you're giving the guest the value they deserve, since your service is slow and not the best make it Up in pricing or step up Your game. I came in around 2pm on a Thursday, there were customers but not super busy. I only had one customer in front of me. I ordered the Dreamsicle with no goji berries - nothing complicated. I sat and waited for several minutes as the person in front of me as well as a group of 3 with 3 smoothies received their orders. Assuming mine would be up next, I stood up and waited and watched the 3 employees make smoothies in between gossiping about a date one of them went on, take little breaks to be on their phones, sip their own smoothies, prep fruits/veggies, and giggle as their shared videos on their phones with each other. I attempted to make eye contact but nothing. After now a total of 5 smoothies and a 6 pack of snack bites were handed over to their respective customers an employee finally acknowledged me and asked if I was waiting for something. Some confusion as 2 employees confer with each other - neither the smoothie waiting in the counter nor the one in the blender are mine. I waited a total of 28 minutes for my smoothie. No apologies, no pleasantries, not a word as they finally hand me my overpriced smoothie. It's too bad I had already tipped. Awful customer service, try-hardy atmosphere, and a mediocre smoothie. Zero stars. Will never visit again and absolutely do not recommend this place. read more

This spot was only .2 miles away from where i was staying so only out of total convenience, this is where i decided to have breakfast. I am happy to say that i was pleasantly surprised. The menu is MUCH more extensive than I expected from a "juice bar" ... well, they are NOT just that. The curry sunrise sandwich was delicious and I even ordered a curry chicken wrap to-go. Sinuses have been affecting me all week so I was recommended the Fly Shot booster which was very efficient. After a workout, the Java Jolt is a great protein shake alternative if you don't want the Chalky after taste of something scooped out of a jug. I have been patronizing Urban Juicer since they opened in Nashville. I stoped by the East Nashville Store and requested a hotshot tea (regular hot shot in hot water). I have been getting them as I said since the store opened. The gentleman told me they don't serve hot shots, as they don't have hot water at this location. How can a store operate without hot water? I think I will call the health department, I've never been told this before and it is the strangest thing I don't think I'll waste my time stopping by again. I rated this store a 1 as it wouldn't allow a zero. Bad customer service. Tried of businesses taking money and not providing at least adequate service. The lady at the front was not friendly. I got there at 11:03 and ordered a breakfast sandwich. She said they don't serve breakfast after 11am and she said she didn't know why it was on the screen still. Then I ordered a wrap that was supposed to have a quinoa salad as a side. I got the wrap but no salad. I told her I don't think I got my salad. She went to the back and came back out and said "sorry we're all out of quinoa salad." Then she just stared at me. I said is there anything else I can substitute? Because I had paid the full amount that's supposed to have a salad. She said I can give you some fruit. I said what do you have? She told me and I told her what I wanted then she went and cut up the fruit. The whole experience took way longer than it should have. Love all their juices and smoothies, especially the Well Being and the Supergreens (would love if this came w chia seeds). Their salad bowls round out a healthy lunch for me, filling but not heavy. They have some great breakfast sandwich options and acai bowls, and some small healthy grab-n-go bites if you're looking for something smaller. Here is a review of what Was ordered: Açaí Bowl- Almond Butter Bowl, which I think was a bit over priced for the the size portion and it was just okay nothing special. I have had way better at other places (not in Nashville) The Powerline Smoothie- The Green Machine, probably the best thing I had at this place and that's saying a lot. My girlfriend also got a sandwich with a gluten free bun which was not all that bad. The worst part was the wait. It took them 10 min to make the açaí bowl another 10 min to make the smoothie and then another 10 minutes to make the sandwich. In all we spent 30 min waiting for the food. So I've been feeling under the weather and thought TUJ would be a refreshing offering as I have not been here yet. I did not actually go in myself so I can't speak for the service, but my partner had nothing but good things to say about the space. She came back with a Bee Green Smoothie ($7), the Strawbanana ($7), and a flu shot ($3). A little expensive if you ask me, but it's relatively on par with the other smoothie joints in town, especially for having fresh and local ingredients. The Bee Green was the standout for me, typically not a green smoothie girl. I could taste the Bee pollen and loved that. It was also pretty sweet and hearty, making it feel like more of a meal with all the greens. The Strawbanana which would typically be my go to anywhere, was great, but also seemed slightly bland/dull. It didn't feel super heavy or sweet like the green one did. Now the flu shot, oh. I don't know if it was because I left it unrefrigerated for an hour or so, or because garlic and cayenne aren't my thing, but it did not sit well with me. I got down about half, and decided to tip the rest back but it all came back out. I couldn't get the little pieces of garlic down though I knew they would be good for me at this time. It had a sweet taste despite having cayenne and ginger, though my eyes definitely watered. The next morning I upchucked (sorry for the grotesque-ness) what look like the half of the shot that made it down. I have been sick so I can't say for sure that's what it was or what happened, but it definitely sort of seemed that way. Overall, I would go back to TUJ. I would go in and try to whip up my own concoction of smoothie to get it just right. My partner was impressed with the food options and the fact that they have breakfast items (which is always a plus) when you need something more than a juice or smoothie. read more
