I'm currently pregnant so a few weeks ago, I booked a prenatal massage online for today. It was originally scheduled for this morning. When I arrived, I thought the receptionists were already aware that I made a prenatal appointment. At 28 weeks, my bump is relatively small but it's there so I thought it was obvious lol. After I checked in, a massage therapist took me to a room and asked me the standard questions. I noticed that there wasn't a body pillow on the side of the table so I mentioned I was there for a prenatal massage. She had no idea and told me she wasn't licensed to work on pregnant clients so we went back to the front desk. I explained that I booked a prenatal massage online, but for some reason it showed as a regular one on their end. The only prenatal therapist they had this morning was already busy and the other person would be available in the evening. To clarify, I wasn't upset with the massage therapist who I met with initially and I actually felt relieved that she was honest about her certification. I was glad I could still get a massage today even though it got rescheduled for a later time. My massage therapist this evening was Joe and he was great! For anyone looking for a prenatal massage, I highly recommend him. He communicated with me throughout the session to make sure that I felt comfortable. My upper back has been bothering me lately and I recently started getting leg cramps. Joe really helped relieve my tension in those areas by applying my preferred amount of pressure. Despite the miscommunication this morning, I had a nice time. Next time I make an appointment here, I plan to book a prenatal massage by phone instead of on the website and I suggest that others do the same to avoid any confusion. This pattern continued on both sides of my body. I would've appreciated equal care and time throughout the entire massage. Every time I had to go back the next day or 2 to get them removed. My friends say nowadays there's better options, technique and sensitive glue available. I found sumi and saw their new client promo price ($55 for a regular full set) and decided to try them since it would be a low price risk in case I have a reaction. There was some confusion over the new promo price with the first girl telling me after my first set it would be $95, then my tech telling me that for what I wanted today it would be $95. She was able to explain and clarify the promo so today's set was $65 because the 2 tip hairs was +$10. Great. I knew I wanted a very natural, light feel with adding just a bit of volume as my lash line is light and cannot hold much (also having sensitivity). I learned from experience. My tech showed me the lengths and it was go time. I knew how simple of a style and shape I wanted based on how I wear my strip lashes. The best part of my experience is that she only took about 35 minutes to apply my extensions, that's what I'm talking about! I know my set is not as dramatic or voluminous but it came out really great and so far they feel comfortable. I really hope they last and don't give me problems the next days ahead. Regular (signature sumi) full set: 2 tips, natural C curve, 9-11 mm, cute style I hope they do well so I can come back for a fill in the next few weeks. What would be nice, especially for those who are on the table for 1 hour(s)+ are either rolled blanket or towels /pillows for under the knees while laying down. It helps with comfort.
