It's the little spots that are always the best, and you almost hate to write a review Because you want to be super greedy and keep it al to yourself. BUT......this place is too good. Everything's fresh. Everything's delicious. The rolls are always on point, and definitely the service is too. So try the: Spicy Garlic Edamame (can I just lick the bowl without being judged?) First off the ambiance of this cozy little spot was just up my alley, I love an authentic feeling mom and pop shop type restaurant, the service was airtight, the vibes were so warm and friendly, super clean place and last but most importantly the food was DELICIOUS!! Sushi Chef John was so skilled and when I showed him a picture of a deep fried fish dish I saw on their yelp account he made it special order even though it's normally only a seasonal dish And wasn't currently on the menu. And when I say it was the best fried fish dish I've ever had at a restaurant please know I am not exaggerating! Everything was plated so beautifully and every sushi roll we ordered was unique and so flavorful. If I had to say anything negative about this place I'd only say it was a little on the pricey side but please know that, that is only because they do not skimp on quality ingredients. Food: we had some a la carte sushi ( toro, sweet shrimp, Spanish mackerel, octopus) so good and fresh, also decent portions. We had a couple special rolls, also great! This little whole in the wall is a hidden gem! The fish was extremely fresh and the service was impeccable. The staff worked together so the wait time was minimal when we needed something. The space is small, so bigger parties maybe harder to seat, but overall our party of four fit well. They also have an outdoor dining area thats very nice. read more
