Nisa is so awesome! I used to go to another sugar waxing specialist pre-COVID, but because of all the closures and re-opening uncertainty, my original specialist is not working at this time. I was kind of desperate because I wanted to maintain my Brazilian, so I decided to search up other good rating and affordable sugaring specialists. Nisa's business popped up as one of my top 3 places, and when I inquired with her, I was able to book an appointment right away :D the price was almost as good as the original place I'd go to. I believe Nisa has her own website that will show how much she quotes on her services, but you can always text/call her to ask as she's super approachable and friendly. I specifically came to her for Brazilian sugar waxing only, although she is more well known for lash extensions. In order to book an appointment with Nisa, you'll have to put a down payment of $50 + tax first. Only contactless payment because of COVID, so she'll take Apple Pay, Venmo, or Cash App. The $50 booking fee is non-refundable but it can be used towards either the service or you can leave it there and use it towards booking your future appointments. (For example, I Venmo her $50 for booking fee, once I meet her to do my $70 Brazilian sugar waxing, I only have to Venmo her $20 after our session is done.) It is cheaper when you are doing maintenance on your Brazilian sugar waxing (coming in every 4 weeks), and it does grow back very slowly! Nisa is super flexible with scheduling appointments, and she'll always text you a reminder when your appointment date is near! I love her sense of humor, she's like a cool mom hahaha. Upon arriving for every session she will check your temperature and have you fill out a COVID checklist form. Make sure you don't book an appointment with her if you had travelled or was exposed to COVID in the last 30 days or so, it doesn't hurt to ask first about it. Wearing your mask is required throughout your session and she sanitizes every single thing, just incase you're wondering how her business is operating during COVID! Currently (from my knowledge) she is only operating her studio at one location, on Dillingham Blvd and another location in Ewa Beach. I just flew in from California I knew that I would be hitting the beach is quite often but also knew that I had to get beach ready. There are very little options of sugar services here in Hawaii. What I like about sugaring is that my it leaves my skin smooth and my skin does not react like it would with wax. I love that sugaring is made of natural products too. I just LOOOOOVE my new lashes. I was a bit scared to do this because of all the glue stories, but my hairstylist eased my fears (being that she visited Sugar & Spice Studio). She does my lashes to perfection, and I don't usually like people touching my face, but Nisa has the magic touch! I've been going to her for almost a year now, and she is the only person who has ever done my lashes and ever will!!!!! Nisa is amazing!! She has a passion for what she does and knows her stuff. It's hard to find someone who really cares for their clients and is really flexible. I discovered Sugar & Spice Studio when I saw a model on social media tag her lashes in a post. The post caught my eye because the lashes were the most beautiful set of extensions I had ever seen. They didn't look clumpy or stiff or fake. Just fluffy, full, and pretty. That's when I decided to make an appointment. Nisa has taken care of me from day one. We started off with a consultation. I actually went with my friend (we booked back-to-back appointments) and Nisa walked us through everything. It was really interesting because my friend and I have different eye shapes and different natural lashes, so Nisa was explaining to us how our lash extensions would differ so that they would not only compliment our unique eye shapes, but also keep the integrity of our natural lashes intact. She reviewed extension curl, size, fans, how to care for lashes, etc. She really took the time to educate me about lashes and longevity. I absolutely love my 3D volume lashes from Nisa!!!! And now, I won't go to anyone else. I didn't just get lash extensions for a special occasion - I get mine filled every 2-3 weeks. They make my daily life so much easier because I don't need to wear any eye makeup now. Because I continue to get lash extensions, it's very important to me that the extensions don't compromise my natural lashes. If they did, all my natural lashes would fall out and there wouldn't be anything to glue the extension to. This is why I trust Nisa. She hand-makes each individual fan, uses the correct amount of glue, and makes it so that my lashes are full and voluminous without being weighed-down and falling out. i love love LOVE Nisa! She does the most amazing works of magic on my dull and ugly eyes. I always get the russian volume and asked her to customize my look and give me sort of a not so dramatic, dolly wispy eye look. Now try to picture exactly what I'm talking about; HARD right? I can't say enough good things about Nisa and my lashes. I just took off my lashes after about a week after getting them done at the Beauty Room. Let's just say, you get what you pay for. Nisa is great at what she does. Before I met nisa, I went around to several different places and was always disappointed with how my lashes turned out. I'm never disappointed when I see nisa. She's also very flexible with my schedule and a complete sweetheart. My lashes always come out amazing and I ALWAYS get compliments on them. She may be a little pricier then some of the cheaper places but I think the quality of her work is on par with the cost. Plus she's cheaper then a lot of places and their work doesn't even compare. So, I found out about Nisa and what she does through Instagram. In all the pictures I've seen, the lashes looked so long and full. This is the first time I've gotten my lashes done, and I LOVE them!!! Being said, I didn't know anything about the process, the upkeep, or anything at all. Nisa is amazing. Nisa is the bomb dot com!!! She is my lash rescuer! She saved my natural lashes and her work is truly AMAZING! I normally don't post reviews, but this and her I had to share due to my previous experience. I was going to another salon for about 2 months before I got introduced to Nisa, and mind you I have never gotten my lashes done before. So, with ex-salon, being a first timer, I loved the work and she gave me what I wanted...volume. About a week after, I noticed that my lashes felt "crispy", especially where the glue met my natural lash and even more so "crispy" at the outer corner of my eyes and it became more of a task to brush/comb it. I countinued with this salon for 3 more refills before Nisa, and everytime after the refill, "crispy" again, especially when I squeeze my eyes shut, and again I thought it was normal. When I went to Nisa, her jaw just dropped, and pretty much "WTF" came out of her mouth. She educated me on what was suppose to have been done, and shouldn't have been done... 1) glue was crazy huge clumps (why my outer corners hurt), 2) glue was glued to my skin, 3) as much as 10 lashes glued to my natural lash, 4) lashes were not fanned out prior to adhering, 5) lashes were just glued to any natural lash that could be found. What the ex-salon told me and educated me was the right context but wasn't doing what was said. So, Nisa did her initial work and repair, and I must say her work looked a whole lot better and fuller than the ex-salon work. Even though Nisa could not save all my natural lashes at my initial visit, she did what she could do: remove what she could without damaging my natural lashes. I have been with Nisa for 4 sessions, and every session got better and better (ex-salon lashes are still attached and Nisa is filling in what she can do vs. trying to remove the ex lashes and damaging my natural). With Nisa, My lashes hold its structure, not as much maintenance as ex-lashes because she fans out the lashes before gluing. I just have to brush it once and lashes are fuller. No more "crispy" with Nisa. She is worth the money!!!! Highly highly recommended! Oh, and before I end this, with the ex-salon, I have scheduled with the same technician. Second session, I was given a different tech due my scheduled tech was running behind on schedule. All sessions with them, I would get poked while trying to remove the lash, eyes would burn after application (with Nisa, no burning). Oh and the times that I had my scheduled technician, I was always on time, her however, I would wait 20-30 mins after my scheduled time. Always above and beyond work with Nisa!!!!
