Okay, the short version. I've been with these guys for years. They've always been super courteous, they know their stuff, and I've always been able to trust them. The long! I went to Ron at Eagle Auto in the end of 2010 with a bad clutch. He showed me everything I needed to see before making any decisions, including that my transmission was filled with BEACH SAND! This was a used Jeep Liberty with a 6 speed manual. The hydraulic clutch was toasted, too. It wasn't cheap, not his fault, but he gave me the best options to make it manageable for me. I spent the summer of 2011 in Maine for work. I needed break work done on my car so I went to the local (and only) auto mechanic. After 2000 dollars of work (I almost fell over) I took my car out and started driving. Not one half hour later, my rear breaks started smoking and the car started bucking like crazy! I called Ron back in Turner's Falls and he told me just what to say to this other mechanic to let him know what's what. In the end, I was able to get it fixed completely everything was fine. A few other experiences with Ron turned out to always be pleasant and painless. I now have another issue I needed his help with. It's an even longer story and he had to go WAY out of his way, but the point is that he did. I've always been able to trust him, and his work has always been awesome! I highly recommend this place. There were problems with my truck that were left undiscovered, even though it was serviced at other places, until I brought it to Eagle. This bum took months to do a job he said would take 2 weeks. Then, he didn't even fix it. After over 2 months and $2000 the vehicle still ran like crap. He told me it was computer problem because after supposedly replacing O2 sensor the O2 fault code still came up. Well, it turns out he he didn't replace sensor with a new one but with some defective crap he had laying around. And, if it was the computer - Why didn't he replace the damn thing? I was so impressed with the service and thoroughness that I will go back there the next time I'm in the area, even if its a routine check. Was on the way home from Vermont when I started experiencing problems with my car, called up the shop and they said bring it right in. Ron cleaned out all the caked up mud and dirt very thoroughly and made sure the suspension was working great after. Even got a call down the road to make sure everything was still good. Ron, from Eagle Automotive is one of those mechanics you find once in a lifetime. He's honest, down to earth, and has a big heart. When I showed up at his shop, my car was a mess and I needed it to pass inspection that month. I had a lot of work done on it in the past by other mechanics, but I felt like I had been taken for a ride. Ron showed me EXACTLY what was going wrong with my car, and the crappy job that my last two mechanics had done (they had serviced the exact same part). I guess I'm one of those people that's easy to take for a ride, but Ron never took advantage of me. He did the work for half of what the other mechanics had quoted, and found a way to fix the problems without replacing the most expensive parts.
