For over two years I've been taking my car to Ben at his garage and he's never overcharged me or added on work that didn't need to be done. My baby is old and ready for retirement but I want her to last a little while longer. Ben was willing to put some work into her to make her safe. When she needed some extra attention he didn't charge extra money. He was honest about what needed to be done and what the expectations were. Edit: I decided to get my headlights buffed out at Leon Sirum, a service they offer for a super reasonable price. I wasn't driving at night because they were so cloudy. Leon Sirum did such an amazing job they looked brand new and I failed the state inspection because one of my headlights had been installed wrong all these years and we didn't know it. Finally I found an auto repair shop in the area that I can trust! Last week I went in to Sirum Leon to fix my exhaust and to get a check engine light checked out. What was great is that this family owned business didn't rip me off. They quoted me half the cost of the bigger chains in Greenfield and were extremely polite and professional. Ben was great to work with. The work was done quickly and the staff was willing to explain exactly what needs to be repaired. My girlfriend had our car towed to this shop to fix one problem. The car was returned to us a week later with more problems than when it went in. We were missing pieces of interior and when I called to ask why more things were broken they told me I could bring it in for a fee to fix. I have no problem paying for a working vehicle but I feel like they were taking advantage of us. read more

I called AAA for a tow from Deerfield to Springfield. Sirum Bros sent their tow truck. I met the nicest young man. He was extremely professional and very efficient. We had pleasant conversation on the long ride back to Springfield. Since we were both born in Greenfield, we shared many memories. The young man took a great deal of pride in his job. We just got our car back from there- really sloppy work. our local mechanic had to redo a lot of what they were paid to do the first time. They aren't necessarily untrustworthy... they just don't do the job well. And missed a lot of glaring issues staring them in the face, leaving us to come back again and again... the kind of mechanic you want to avoid. read more

Can't recommend their repair services highly enough - thoroughly honest about what they've found WRT what's going on with my cars and the options. When a repair didn't "stick," but I wasn't able to bring it back in for 4+ months, they still didn't charge for the re-repair, without my saying a word, even after having to spend a TON of time and effort trying to figure out why the engine computer was reporting a problem that wasn't. Repairs I thought I needed (brakes/suspension) & requested, but they didn't find were necessary yet, they were honest about, and saved me a ton of money without charging for the diagnosis. I stand by this shop been here for 10 years, anytime I tried some place else around town I'd have to bring it here to have the the other places shitty work fixed. Their prices at Sirum are great as well and even willing to help people out. Many times they have picked me up and dropped me off across town because my car would be in all day! I had my car towed to Leon Sirum and "fixed" there. They had my car for a week. Every time i called they said they found something new that was wrong. Finally after $550.00 i got my car back. 2 days later the check engine light came on and when i brought it back to them they just reset it and sent me on my way. My check engine light has never been on. Now it is 3 weeks later and all i smell is exhaust. I feel as though i was taken advantage of because i am a young women who doesn't know much about car. My advice is to find a trustworthy mechanic, this is not it. read more

Would not recommend this garage at all. Very slow in getting parts and told us they had done this job before, when in fact that had not. We had our vehicle towed elsewhere and the second location had it fixed in an hour! The owner was not very sensitive to our situation, but his son seemed honest. read more

My car broke down in the middle of the night on Tuesday. Leon Sirum was the only towing company in town that was open and would answer there on call service! Not only was the tow truck there immediately they gave me a ride home down the street. Ben called me in the morning with estimate to the tee and had not done any work wit out my approval!
