How convenient they also rent cars too, so I was able to line up one until they could get to my car towards the end of the week. They finished on Tuesday. I feel like the mechanics, staff and ownership are honest and trust-worthy. Prices are not outrageous, and they provide service with a friendly vibe and are happy to solve your car problems. Also, they warn you of other things creeping up, so you can plan for larger repairs ahead of time. So impressed with the body work on my Ford truck. I recently had a headlight and dent on the hood repaired at North Amherst Motors and the results exceeded expectations. I am meticulous on my truck's appearance and the results from their work has it looking at showroom quality. Not only is their work exceptional, their pricing is excellent as well. Why could I know this you may ask? My Niece is a trade school student and she has taken courses on auto body work estimates and I had her price my vehicle's damage which totaled 2,070 dollars. Efficient, friendly, great professionals This was my third time (I think) to North Amherst Motors for body work on different cars, and the most serious - I had managed to badly bash in my right passenger side door by cutting too close to the (invisible to me) metal gas pump guard after filling my tank. I phoned and spoke with Andrew, who had me come right in. I wasn't sure whether to use my insurance or not - whether it would cause much higher rates. He assured me I could talk to an agent at AMICA and get honest advice, and gave me a preliminary estimate with plenty of honest caveats. From there on everything went really smoothly - AMICA sent out a good guy to do an inspection and evaluation, and I learned that as long as it was under $5000 my rate increase would be minor, so I did use insurance and AMICA and Andrew did all the communicating with each other. I felt in excellent and honest hands the whole time. Andrew and Jocelyn Potter - second generation owners - are an absolutely wonderful team. Always friendly and responsive, and the work they and their team do is first rate! When the car was ready (which was right when they estimated it would be), one of their young men came and picked me up in it to go back and pay and get the paperwork, and I was delighted to see that in addition to the beautiful repair, they had thoroughly cleaned the whole car inside and out - an unexpected bonus! An employee with a name beginning with B, I don't know how to spell his name, quoted $90 for a general safety check-up for our very old Honda. The mileage is so high that he told me he's not sure if it's worth it to repair the vehicle. He was right! He charged us $45 instead of $90. Excellent service! People of true character. read more

I use this place to rent their 16' box trucks. I have a small moving company and occasionally I need to rent a truck. I have been using uhaul for years and I finally got fed up with them so I decided to take a look at my other options. A friend had mentioned North Amherst Motors so I gave them a call and rented a truck. I was very impressed. The guy who handled my reservation, Josh, was super friendly, very knowledgeable and good at his job. He set us up with a truck and away we went. Now I have rented from them a couple times and each time is as good as the last. The trucks are always clean, they always have a full tank of gas and they have always kept my reservation. Unlike Uhaul, who almost never had the truck I had reserved nor was it ever at the place I had intended to pick it up. Oh and I almost forgot to mention it's CHEAPER than uhaul. I had to rent a car for a month long trip recently. I found North Amherst Motors quite by accident since my goal was to rent a car and not repair one. I checked out all the big names and the sticker shock was astounding; however, when I got to the North Amherst Motors website, the price for the month was about a third of what the others were charging. From my home in California, I took a leap of faith and opted to prepay a rental car. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and enthusiastically. What a remarkable change from the other rental car place I had just left behind (I had to rent a minivan in Philadelphia and leave it in the Amherst area) where the Big Box lady grunted at me. No greeting, no friendly chat, nothing. The owners treated me like family and gave me helpful advice for how to get to Bradley after I returned my rental car to them. When I called to extend my rental, it was no problem, and again, I was treated like an old friend calling. Yesterday I returned the rental car and the owners asked me about my trip and made reference to the specific reason I was there. They either have great memories or they keep excellent, personal records! Either way, kudos to them. They have a raving fan and a customer for life! read more

This is by far the best experience I've had with an auto shop in quite some time! They are extremely kind and keep you updated through the entire process. When I got my car back (after someone smashed my window) I still heard glass in the door. I called them up they told me to bring it in next business day, provided a rental car for the day free of charge and got my car back to me the same day! Crooks - plain and simple. I went here after receiving a referral from a friend. They kept my car for an extra TWO weeks and I'm pretty sure they committed insurance fraud considering I know a bit about auto body. They charged my insurance for a complete paint job on a door when they actually blended the paint (i.e. only painted a small part.) They also delivered my car back to me filthy. When I told the owner, he had one of his people rinse the car off with a hose and then had the audacity to tell me it was "hand-washed." Go anywhere but here! read more

As a UPS driver I have delivered to body shops for over 30 years. I've gotten to see how things are done out back where the customer usually doesn't go. Some of the shops were disorganized and dirty. I wouldn't take a trash can to one of these places to be painted. I've delivered to North Amherst Motors for 12 years. I've seen both the front office and more importantly the shop. This place by far is heads above the rest of the shops I have been to. The place is clean and organized. I have watched them work and have seen the quality of their work.
