The food was good but most of them were too salty. However the hotdog surprisingly had no taste while it was supposed to be salty.

I heard a lot of great things about this place but my experience was very meh. We almost left before the server touched our table because the hostess was so unwelcoming. Didn't look at us, didn't say "good morning", or ask how many were in our party. Didn't actually say anything except "are you going to leave a tip?" when she cashed us out. The serve was pleasant. The food was okay. Don't eat the ketchup, it'll ruin your mushy home fries. Won't make it a point to return. read more

The food is excellent and portions are huge! I enjoyed the chili and prime rib thoroughly. The rice and green beans were average. Now our waitress, who has a shirt on the says "I love my job", truly must because she was extremely kind, gave us extra time to decide what we wanted, and brought them out exactly as we ordered. She made the dinner that much better. (Thank you, Connie!) There's even Christmas music playing in the background. THE WORST BREAKFAST I EVER HAD. I ordered A Hub City breakfast platter and it was awful. The eggs were raw and undercooked as were the breakfast potatoes. The pancakes were limp and rubbery. When I told my server that the food was raw she told me to "deal with." Not very professional. The sausage and coffee were good but not worth $12.99. To their credit, some guy offered to recook everything, but I declined. After being served garbage I wasn't interested. It was very busy when I got there and the kitchen was slammed but that's no excuse for inedible food and poor service. Disappointing and expensive. read more

Seating and meal Came in to a unwelcoming atmosphere. I got French toast and my partner got a steak meal. On the menu the French toast meal is listed as (3) pieces however I was presented with 2. The meal however did taste great. My partner was never asked about how she would like her steak cooked and was also not provided with the bread that the meal came with. Overall she said the steak was bland. The fry's and salad did taste good, which also came with that meal. Service The service from the start felt very unwelcoming. Food took at least 45 minutes to come out. The server asked if I needed anything after receiving the meal and I had asked for more syrup. She said "okay dear I'll brb" she went onto ask the next table. The next table had asked for something as well, the waitress went immediately to fulfill their need and never returned for mine. Mostly the customers were regulars which they seemed to cater to over newcomers. Atmosphere You can expect a bunch of bold eagles, local drawings, and WW2 /Vietnam music. read more

Food is mediocre at best. The chili tastes like it's canned--Hormel's is much better. The hotdogs taste like mystery meat--absolutely awful and tastes like they've been cooking for way too long (i.e., all shrivelled up and dried out). Cinnamon toast is merely toast sprinkled with cinnamon--no sugar mixed in--not too good but at least fixable by the customer by adding their own sugar. The cakes and baked goods are horrible--not good quality at all--tastes like lots of shortening and sugar is being used--very artificial tasting. Last but not least, while "home fries" is on their menu, that's not what they serve; the so-called "home fries" are merely smashed potatoes with absolutely no resemblance to actual home fries and no seasoning whatsoever. BTW... they weren't mistakenly hash browns either. There were just smashed potatoes, probably mashed potatoes leftover from the day before, that were grilled. Needless to say, they were completely tasteless, which makes them a complete waste of food and money. And, if all that's not enough, when management was spoken to about the potatoes, in particular, she had a very flippant, DISMISSIVE ATTITUDE (to put it mildly) and wasn't open at all to anything I had to say. I have a better term to use than dismissive attitude but I'm trying to keep it clean. This woman should not be a manager. Keep it professional folks!!! Copping an attitude with a customer in an open restaurant is totally unnecessary!!! She could've have just taken what I said into consideration and left it at that. Nice appearance on the inside, spacious with tables , chairs and booths. A display of beautiful cakes are up front! I found out they get delivered once weekly from Baltimore. We had a service dog with us and the owner was very accommodating. My husband ordered a steak and cheese but surprised there was nothing extra like lettuce, tomato, onions, etc. He got fries with the order. Another friend ordered chicken Parmesan and was satisfied with his meal. I ordered a burger with cooked onions, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato and cheese. You need to also request Mayo because they don't provide unless you ask (for the steak and cheese as well!). There is ketchup on the table as well as a napkin dispenser. The water tasted good as well. Some restaurants don't have good tasting water! The food was very tasty. The waitress was great. I think another waitress would have been helpful, as our waitress was very busy rushing around and did excellent serving everyone! The background music was great.....oldies! Prices were good, cheaper than what we usually pay for the three of us! Well worth trying! read more
