We are beyond grateful to be a part of the Eagle Martial Arts Family! Our son has been taking classes for the past few months and loves it. He looks forward to going to every class! His self confidence has improved immensely! He is only 5 and can do a split!!! This is not only a school, it is truly a family. The owners and staff truly care about everyone. They go above and beyond for every member of the school. Master Jan and his entire family are so welcoming and their passion for martial arts truly shows. They value family and it shows. They incorporate family in some of the training, and teach them the importance of respecting your family and being grateful. They also teach the importance of eating healthy and exercising. They have a parents night out where they do fun, exciting activities with your kids so you can enjoy an adult night out. Not to mention, they have classes for the entire family! How cool is that??? My son signed up for the 6 week trial. The owner is the one that did my sign up. He told me that I could cancel anytime before the 6 week trial was up. During the 3rd or 4th week, I canceled my contract because 1. My child was yelled at in class by the instructor. My son is autistic and has trouble with following directions. The instructor pulled my son aside and yelled at him. I have never seen such disrespect and rude behavior by an establishment that claims to be professional. 2. I spoke to a girl at the front desk to tell her that I wanted to cancel my contract because of the behavior that was displayed towards my child. She apologized and told me that she would talk to the owner. I watched her go over to the older woman wearing the head scarf and she told her. What happened next was terrible. I saw the woman freak out and tell her that she didn't care. I see so many things that are wrong with that. Not only from a business perspective but a human perspective. 3. As the picture attached shows, I emailed them to cancel my contract. I emailed them before my contract date was up. I received confirmation from them. AND THEN MY ACCOUNT GOT CHARGED! 4. THEN, I called them and left a message. I did this for a week straight and didn't get a response. So, I went in and spoke to another person at the front desk that I had never seen before and they told me that someone would contact me. I haven't received a call yet. This is completely unprofessional. I am extremely upset about this. After talking to other parents, I found that this is a very common occurrence. Enrolled in our daughter in their trial program. Our daughter decided she did not want to do it. My husband email them to cancel and called multiple times to cancel and the continued to bill us $149 a month for 7 months. Never once returned a phone call. I went as far as filing a complaint with BBB, they didn't respond to them and still won't reimburse us. Horrible place to do business with. DO NOT recommend them at all! read more

Similar to other reviewers I was billed multiple times after I canceled, even with an email from the company saying it was properly canceled. When I confronted Master Jan he promised to make it right but he was all talk and never returned emails or phone calls. Opened a dispute with credit card company to get most of my money back but I don't know how anyone can trust this school with their financial information. read more

Great program with great facilities and instructors. I have been practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with Instructor Max for the past 3-4 months here and the quality of training has been outstanding. There are not a lot of places where you get hands-on training and one-on-one practice with a black belt. The classes are super helpful and the other students are great. For adults, your membership gets you access not only to the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes but all the Kickboxing classes as well. They offer ~7 kickboxing and ~7 jiu-jitsu classes per week, you can come as often as you want and you can sign up for individual training sessions as well. I can't speak to the kids karate classes but I can say my experiences with Instructor Max have been great and I've enjoyed the time I've spent training with Master Jan as well. To the previous reviewer's comment regarding subscription, there is an introductory trial period where you or your child get to try a session or two for free after which point you sign a monthly contract for a certain number of months not unlike your typical exercise gyms. Very shady business practices. If you do not want to be billed on a monthly basis forever, be sure to write in BOLD letters on the contract. DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY RENEW. I signed my 4 year old for 7 months of karate. I verbally confirmed that it wouldn't automatically renew and keep charging my Amex past the agreed upon termination date. 10 months later, I ended up having to call Amex to block them from charging me monthly and now I'm in a dispute for 3 months of charges past the 7 month agreement. No one is returning my calls or emails. It's such a shame. The place is nice and the instructors are great, but I would NEVER enroll in another program after this experience. read more
