Staff was super nice and the appointment was fast, but the quality of the nails are absolutely horrible. They are bending with minimal force and one of them entirely came off while I was in the car on the way home they can be peeled off so easily. If I could leave 0 I would. The place is dirty. There's only one truly qualified manicurist. Unless you're a committed client with years of services, you'll never get her. Soak off and redip, sounds simple, right? It was not. Despite my objections, my nails were cut, roughly filed, and the nail bed filed with the drill file until the nails bent and cracked/splintered at the edges. Then my hand was jammed into a little red cup that looks like what extra salsa comes in from Frontera next door. While that was happening, she took another client and began the same process with her. I never did get her name, even though I asked several times, and her face didn't match any of the licenses on the wall. I wiped off my slightly bloodied and sore fingertips, paid and left. CONSUMER BEWARE Eagle Nails, located on Valmont Road in Boulder, has caused my granddaughter tremendous pain and suffering due to fungal nail infections from a rebasing. She has been sick for a month and is on antibiotics. She has conversed with them, they tried to make it something less serious or her fault. They are not taking accountability. Paronychia and onychomycosis were the diagnoses from Kaiser. She has been on super antibiotics for weeks, which made her very sick. Her nails look infected, red, and throbbing with pain. The antibiotics cover sepsis, we were worried about it getting into her bloodstream. I have been dealing with toenail fungus from a pedicure. Since February, my toes have just now started to get better. Onychomycosis was my diagnosis. A breeding ground for infections. They have been reported to the state Barber/Cosmetology Licensing Division. They are nice people and great pricing, but not at the cost of your health or possibly your life. We don't want anyone else injured by Eagle Nails. :( read more

I never write reviews but oh, please be careful if you go here. They're pleasant and friendly but so inept! While trimming toe nails the woman sliced the end of my toe! It began bleeding profusely and instead of giving me a gauze pad to staunch the bleeding, she plopped my foot into the water that both my unwashed feet had gone into! Have they never heard of bacteria and infections? (and ridiculously enough that sliced toe sill has a long nail on it) There was no filing of the nails and they're all different lengths. Finally, when the polish strayed from the nails onto my toes and it was all just left there. And finally, there was no cover coat applied after 2nd coat of polish. Came here because Polish had an hour wait. I was welcomed immediately and they set me up with Henry right after I checked in. This is a mixed review because Henry seemed to be working my diligently on my regular mani-pedi, but my nails looked so poor afterwards. He gave me a great leg and arm massage, and took his time. however my nail polish is bumpy, I can see polish already coming off and I got this done yesterday. I've sincerely done a better job at home myself. Maybe they are just a better place for gel/acrylic nails?But wanted to give my nails a break and I don't think this was the place for that. read more

Visiting in the area and went for a take off and dipping powder manicure. During the take off he cut me twice with the dremel. He completely changed the shape of my nails making them. Almost pointy when they were square. He did ask if he could round a little but that is not what was done. Nothing is even one side of my nail is round and the other side completely strait and diagonal. Another nail was not filed on the side at all. The thing that will make me stay away from here and made me write this is.... After washing my hands I looked around for something to dry the on and was pointed to the bin of dirty towels!! read more

I'm sorry to say, but with the growth in popularity and the NEW NAIL TECHS, Eagle has lost my regular business. A place we once loved for over 5 years, is no longer. Here are the major incidents we had on our last two visits. A pedicure where the tech spent no joke 10 minutes pulling at a cuticle, I physically pulled back, I asked her to stop and yet she persisted until there was blood. She would work on other nails and then go back to the same spot. I actually haven't been able to get a pedicure anywhere since then, the experience was so horrible. Just last month my daughter was getting a full set of nails and the woman kept spacing out/not paying attention when she was filing them, so she cut into the skin with the file into FOUR of my daughters fingers until they bled. The first time she was like so sorry, then proceeded to do it again. She kept apologizing and then actually not paying attention to stop what she was doing. If you've never had a file cut into your skin it's like a huge deep papercut, that is so painful. My daughter was in tears and the tech was just smiling and saying, oops I did it again! Not acceptable. Sorry Eagle, I'm happy you've become popular but so sorry for your longtime nail techs who actually made the business popular, that now is being ruined. The new women need to go. I'm not satisfied with the pedicure they gave me. I asked for a $32 pedicure just plain and simple but the tech who helped me didn't communicate with me and the interpreters were busy with other clients. I was charged $54 and for that price even the towels were cold. The massage was horrid and the stones weren't even heated. I told the Second Lady who worked on me that I had requested the $32 pedicure and all she could tell me was 'oh no I'm sorry they did the $54 pedicure'. She didn't even try to fix the error. I don't think I will be coming here again. I'm waiting for the owner to call me to see if they can at least refund me $20. The pedicure I got was not worth the $54. I hope they don't offer a % off another pedicure. I don't want to return here. I've had better pedicures for less. Should've gone to my initial place except they were closed today. read more

The technicians appear to be untrained. My technician kept taking the rotating file tool right against my cuticle, three of my cuticles bled. I told her I want to wash my hands to avoid an infection and she said wait and proceeded to dip my fingers in powder. This is NOT OKAY. This is how people get dip flu and infections. She did not use a separate container for my powder. They use the same container for everyone. This is a cause for disease and bacterial infections. Other than that, the customer service is subpar. They get up and leave every 5 min of your manicure to assist someone else and the overall salon is chaos. read more

Used to love coming to this place pre-pandemic, but things have changed unfortunately not for the better. I booked an appointment and still had to wait about 25 minutes before being seated with Vivian for a deluxe manicure + collagen gloves with french manicure polish. She asked if I wanted a square cut, "stylish" she said, but I said no and asked for rounded edges, more oval but didn't get a clear response before she clipped all the length off my nails, starting with an uneven "straight" cut across the top. I noticed from the beginning that she clipped my nails uneven but hoped she would correct the shaping when she filed - but didnt. She was missing areas and filing them unevenly and was not brushing to clear the dust from filing. She pulled out an unsanitized tool from her bag to trim my cuticles and I was very concerned about infection but didn't feel she understood when I asked if the tool was clean (major concern!). After almost 30 minutes primarily on just my cuticles, she called someone else over to help her finish as it was getting late. Fast forward two days and my thumbnnail has begun to chip on a side edge so I go in for a quick repair and get assigned to Vivian once again. While she was working on the chip the whole bottle of white polish spilled all over one of my fingers. She blotted at it with acetone, completely missing that she'd left a lot of residue with the weak attempt. I'm stunned at their sorry response to the error and awkwardly pointed out the missed spots to her and a young man who noticed the spill as they repeatedly assure me that it's no big deal. Like somehow its going to magically vanish on its own. She finally finishes and I walk out into the sunlight and see that white polish is still in my nail bed and exposed a very raggedy cuticle. I leave with the intention of going to another Salon to fix the mess. About half an hour after leaving Eagle Nail, soneone called back to apologize and asked me to come back again. I was seated with a different older woman to redo the manicure and polish. After redoing 8 of 10 of my cuticles, midway through I was switched to another older lady to finish the French manicure saying that she was supposed to be better at it but the result was not good. The new lady left even more white polish residue and was struggling to make the manicure tips balanced, I asked about just doing color polish - the new lady said it would chip because my nails were too short. This made me crazy - the first woman clipped off all the length pushing me to go with a square cut that I did not want! And once again I was not being listened to about how I want my nails done! I ended up with stubby short nails with too-wide & unevenly paintled tips topped off with white polish residue on most all if my finger pads and tiny splattered drops on my hand. Without someone to translate, communication is broken and not always understood. I didnt get to enjoy the extra skin finish of the deluxe that I originally paid for and no one that could speak English was available to follow up and see the sad final product or at least say goodbye. Most frustrating is that I really wanted to support them as my nearby neighborhood shop. But this was simply too much hassle to still not get what I paid for. I will not be back. read more

Just got a pedicure/gel manicure done here and I'm sorry to say but it's bad. Polish all over the cuticles/uneven application and cuticles not really trimmed down enough. Half of most of the nails aren't even filled in all the way. I feel bad writing this review because the woman who did my nails was really nice, but this is just not a good job. This is partially my fault for not checking them out before I left, but for almost $100 this is very sub-par. In fairness--my nails are really short right now, which maybe makes them harder to do? But I've had other manicures at this length, and they didn't look half as bad. Feel as though I could've just done a better job myself. To preface- I was charged $15 for this visit without asking because the owner probably saw how awful the nails looked. Went to remove my old full set to evaluate if I wanted a regular mani or a new full set, the technician didn't understand what I meant so he started the refill process, and was very rushed in his work when he found out what was wanted. My nails were filed vunevenly. After seeing how thin my nails were filed, I opted for a regular polish so I can start healing my nails. The outcome was uneven warped nails, polish that was too thick and didn't spread even- and he tried to even it out with the top coat. Despite sitting under driers for about 20-30 minutes, it smudged as soon as I got in my car from grabbing my purse to put it in the passenger seat. Update: went the day after to repair, manager took over and did a slightly better job- shellac was chipped within 24 hours and my mails are now painful to the touch. DO NOT GO HERE! Sometimes saving money hurts in the long run, I strongly advise paying an extra $10 for a manicure that won't leave you in pain with chipping nails. read more
