This place is truly a hidden gem for golf in the Myrtle Beach area. If you are a local, the cost for 18 holes in the winter season is $40. The course itself was in fantastic shape, beautiful scenery and wildlife. It was not overbooked like every other course in Myrtle Beach. Every staff member was incredibly friendly and helpful. The starter came around after we finished up on hole 16 and we would usually be dealing with some cranky, grumpy old man but he simply asked us how we were enjoying the course and how we were hitting the ball. It was the starter who sent us out earlier in the AM. Me and my group will definitely be coming back, and if you are searching for a nice underrated course to play come here!! read more

The price is right but. The greens are impossible to read and way too fast. The fairways are super dry and cut way too short for the condition. 5 of us played and all of us felt the same way. read more

Very well laid out course with a thorough ground crew. Enjoyed the new carts with large screen gps displays which also had streaming music and course info. One of the longest courses in the US if you play from the tips. Recommend playing during the week to avoid the crowds and tournaments. read more

Eagle Nest Golf Club - Long fairway shot on one of the Par 5's - Golf Near Me - Little River, South Carolina

I have driven by Eagles Nest's tacky signs for 3 plus years, thinking the course must be a dog based on the quality of the signs. Yesterday afternoon I gave it a chance. Cart attendant was great, ended there. The pro shop person was quite possibly the rudest person I have ever come into contact. I told him to F off and walked out. He must be the nephew of the owner. FIRE HIM!!! Betting the course can't be any better than the tacky signs. Plenty of great courses in the area, leave this one alone! read more

It's very rare I need to give a 1 star rating for something. But if there ever were a case, this is it. On the final day of our Myrtle Beach golf trip, we were hoping for a nice Sunday round on a decent course that really kind of wrapped the whole thing up. What we got was the most terrible golf experience any of us has ever had for the money charged, unanimously agreed. Starting from the beginning, indifferent staff. From bag drop to tee box. The starter did do his best to teach us some things about the course, he was the highlight. Everyone else seemed to know that our experience wasn't going to be good and did their best to avoid mention of that. There had been some rain the day before, and we were told it would be cart paths only, which was disappointing but understandable. Once out on the course, it was extremely apparent to me that it probably is very often cart paths only because of poor drainage and design. More on that in a bit. First of all, at our tee time, there were 3 groups backed up on the first tee. This was a problem all day. We never played a hole without waiting. All told, we finished the course about an hour off pace, after waiting several minutes at just about every tee, and every green approach. Too many people on the course, and cart paths only just compounded this problem. We could never get in any kind of rhythm. But beyond course and player management issues... this is just a bad facility. Drainage is so bad that every fairway was just mud under thin grass. If you didn't make perfect ball first contact, you were going to dig into unmoveable mud. Water often pooled around our feet on spongy fairways. I found myself wanting to play from rough and trees so I could hit off pine straw. I would estimate that half the holes on the course were covered in turf patches, flags for ground under repair, seams of just exposed mud, and all sorts of problems. Tee boxes were torn up. The bright spot were the greens, which by and large rolled well. A course in this shape should be lowering their green fees to compensate for poor conditions. They did not, and if we had known how bad it was, we would have simply left without playing and gone to TopGolf for the day. Instead we paid peak golf season rates to just be angry. We'll never come back here again. Too many nice courses in this area to settle for this. read more

Played April 8,2021. Course was in good shape. Tee boxes a little rough but ok. Greens were fine but tricky. Fairways were green and in good shape. The staff did an excellent job. Can't wait until we try it again. It had not rained for a while so ground was somewhat hard. Toughest three finishing holes ? Oh yeah! read more

Our round started on a bad note. The starter, Bill, was extremely rude. When I tried to clarify a point about the course, he said "If you'll just wait until I'm finished, you might understand what I'm telling you". As we left to go to the first tee, my wife said "With that guy's bad attitude, I'm already regretting coming here." The course itself was not bad, but even in March, the play was slow. For the money, I would choose elsewhere for sure. read more

The course itself was okay at best. Staff was absolutely terrible. We were told to hurry up off the first tee. After the 4th hole we were told that we were holding the entire course up when we were playing behind a twosome and in front of a foursome hitting from the beginners and womens tees. Told after the 12th tee we were causing a "disaster" behind us. We were told to skip hole 14 in the middle of teeing off. We were a foursome of experienced golfers playing no second balls or taking mulligans. We didn't even look for balls hit near the water. Being in the military for 16 years I've played all around the country and never have I been disrespected in such a way that my fellow golfers did not want to even finish. I will be posting this review on social media as well, in case this review is deleted. With so many golf courses in the area, customer beware! read more

Great course for beginners. Other than hole # 17, which was under repair, the course is in great condition. The scenery is relaxing and there are several water stations to use throughout the 18. There's even a bathroom at the halfway point. The staff were friendly, and the clubhouse had a decent snack bar with reasonable prices. I would give this a 4.5 out of 5 if possible. It would be nice if they had a snack cart and a better beer selection. read more

It's Saturday and golf season, but it just took 2hrs. 55mins. to play 9. Not sure about the tee time spacing, but it was way to tight. No sprinklers on the course so grass is very thin. There are lots of better courses here for the same $ read more

Horrible! Completely inconsiderate staff. One hole was completely unplayable due to multiple grounds crew members working, rolls of sod strewn across the face of the green, and several pieces of equipment. None of them moved or even acknowledged us. The guy running the clubhouse told us, "the grounds crew sometimes have their own agenda." No one warned us about this at the start either. For our inconvenience, we were offered a rain check valued at one hole, as if we'd ever consider coming back. read more

This was my favorite course to play out of the 5 that we played in Myrtle. Greens and fairways were awesome. It's considered a wild life preserve so lots of awesome scenery. Great value at only $36 a round. Everyone was nice and the pace of play was good with not many people out there. Will be back!! read more

Being my first real golfing experience, I was quite impressed by the friendly staff, the night golf carts and the unbelievably cheap prices. For (2) rounds of 18 holes with cart included, the cost came to ONLY $40 for both my boyfriend and I to play! That price is completely unheard of in Baltimore/PA area, so my boyfriend and I were ecstatic to get out on the greens and enjoy a nice round of golf. My boyfriend, an avid golfer, did mention that the greens were in need of a little TLC - since they were patchy in a couple of places but overall it was still a very nice course. Plus, an added bonus is that the last 3 holes are the hardest finishing holes in South Carolina, or so they are advertised. I'm just glad to know that I could hang with the big dogs! :) read more

Average course greens very slow, no yardages available on most holes. Simple thing that would help it feel like they cared.

About 45 days prior to our trip to North Myrtle Beach, I reserved a tee time for 8 people at Eagle Nest Golf Course. I had called the course 2 or 3 more times leading up to our actual date/tee time. The first time I called to confirm our date and time we were set with our original time of 10:30am. The second time I called to confirm our date and time and they had moved our tee time to 9:30am....fine, no big deal. We arrive at the golf course at 8:30am to learn that they had moved our tee time to 12:30pm. If you are looking for a golf course that is going to take care of its customers, this is not the one. Ethan, who unfortunately is the only person who works the phones, is the individual there that i spoke to each time i called and was the one who was at the desk at check-in. Ethan felt that it was funny that our tee time was moved and continued to shrug off my displeasure. Fortunately, we were able to get on the course at The Valley at Eastport just down the road where we were taken care of. The staff there let us know that this is a common trend with people who vacation down in Myrtle and visit Eagle Nest, and that they probably felt because we were from New Jersey that they treated us unfairly. It's a shame that such a nice course lacks customer service skills. Any other course would have said "No worries, we'll get you out on the course!" read more

great locals rate and course was in awesome shape. great deal for the dollar. Friendly staff at the bag drop, in the pro shop, and in the grill. Looks like a good place for a simple golf outing. greens were in good shape, but a number of people weren't repairing ball marks that day and we were just the 4th or 5th group off that morning. Keep your snacks secure - the fox squirrels are everywhere and are not shy about hopping in your cart. read more

Fairways are in horrible condition. The fairways have fresh sod on them in multiple areas. Greens were unbelievably slow. No championship tee boxes ((black). When on a golf vacation spend a little more money and play a nicer course. Unfortunately, I signed up with a big group and didn't get a chance to scrutinize these courses. read more
