This was booked for us via Delta Vacations and we selected the ATV's and cenote. The whole…read moreoperation was well run and our hotel pickup was on time. Thankfully it was only about 20 minutes from our hotel so it didn't take half a day just to get there. In total the whole experience was under four hours. There were 4 other people in our group we didn't know, staying in hotels much farther away. Lots of waiting around when you get there. There are free lockers to store your things and clean restroom and changing facilities. If you have an underwater camera pouch, bring it. It's the only way you're allowed to have a phone on the ATVs (around your neck) and you can use it both above and under water at the cenote. It was our first time doing ATV's and didn't know what to expect. I had no interest in driving one myself so I decided to ride as a passenger with my bf. This was the worst decision EVER! Granted I am a small person and struggled to get both of my feet firmly planted, so I basically held onto the back handlebars for dear life while I was thrown around like a ragdoll. My back was literally bruised from hitting the seat with the abrupt motions. I felt like I had whiplash and at one point the plastic shield on my helmet came off because my head crashed into my bf's helmet. We would have enjoyed it more if the speed was higher and more in the jungle but you're basically on a narrow trail with lots of bumps and bottoming out constantly. The ride was advertised as 45 minutes but was less than 40. I did like how there's a guide with you the entire time both at the front of the pack and back. On the flip side, it also made it so that you couldn't necessarily go the speed that you wanted. After that harrowing experience we were offered a buffet lunch (nothing special but nice that it was free) and then taken to the nearby cenote. That was really the highlight of the experience. You do have to rinse off all of your sunscreen (even those that are reef safe) in a cold shower before you enter... not sure how effective this was because most people did a half assed job. I liked that you were provided a life jacket so you could also just float without having to worry about supporting yourself. The guide was very knowledgeable. And the water was very clear. I've been to caves before but none that were under water. Very cool! Be prepared for many money grabs, but that's Mexico. We were basically bullied into buying the additional insurance, felt like a huge scam. But ultimately it was $25 for the two of us and because of the manmade holes on the course I can see how an ATV can get damaged even if you drive responsibly. We thought they would be jerks at the end about every little scratch but there was barely an inspection. They also take many pictures of you throughout the experience which you are not obligated to buy. We even declined being photographed in the first place. If you have your camera pouch you can take pictures of yourself everywhere you go.

Of course we were the fastest group! Next was the zipline. I did 7! My watch said 34 flights of stairs. Better not be afraid of heights. Lunch was the typical Mexican fair. Nicely done. A cenote snorkel, complete with bat cave and a ride to Tulum with tour guide. Excellent. It was a full day. Hats off to Isaac at Atv/zipline/cenote place. Oh did II mention tequila tasting. This was my first time…read moresnorkeling in a lagoon and I was really excited because the water looked clear and beautiful on land. We came here with a tour guide around 11am in February, and the water was not only cold, but there were not many fish. When there were fish, it was the same type of fish over and over again. Maybe she just didn't take us to the right places, but I didn't see anything that excited me. I probably wouldn't want to come here again to snorkel. There are probably much better places for it!

Yal Ku happened to be the lagoon our guide took us to. Didn't get to explore the area too much but theres a parking lot, small changing rooms, bathrooms, and a small restaurant. Several other groups were there trying to snorkel at the same but it wasn't overly crowded. We first went and got our supplies...lifevests, goggles and fitted them. Once everyone was fitted we jumped into the water and were instructed to go to a certain area of the lagoon. Some areas had slightly poor visibility--I mean, it is a lagoon, can't expect too much. Some cool things I saw included this huge school of sardines swimming right next to me and some rainbow colored fish in another area. Almost didn't want to leave the water because I was so excited to explore. Made me want to book a snorkeling trip to an island asap... Anyway, when you do come out to the parking area, you might run into the ice cream man with those pinwheel crackers~get some!

Never seen so much colour under the sea before, felt so privileged especially when an inquisitive turtle swam up to have a nosy at us. On Isla Mujeres, instead of staying in the north of the island (where we docked), John was excited to rent a golf cart and so we toured the less touristic, south part the island. The north also had it's own charm, street vendors, Playa Norte (rated in the top 10 of the world's best beaches) plus it was also home to a phenomenal dulce de leche icecream, so much so I had 2 of them in about half hour

The easy way to find it is to look for the Royal Park Hotel. You'll find Ernesto's located directly across the street from the hotel. There are several things I really like about Ernesto's. First of all it has the lowest of prices for motor scooter or other vehicle rentals. Then, their prices include liability insurance which most of the other places load on to you on top of their higher prices. Also, the scooters I have rented from them have always been in good operating condition and always topped off with gasoline. The staff at Ernesto's also knows everything there is to know about the island, finding your way around, and more than happy to advise you on anything having to do with Cozumel.

I initially took the 10 % discount with NO expiration date. However, as the Shelter in Place order seemed to go on forever and I still have no idea if travel outside the US will be permitted, I emailed them a third time and asked for a refund. When they had difficulty with the PayPal sight, they emailed me back and told me to contact PayPal. They responded to every email I sent, and there were at least 4 and agreed to a full refund. If and when I can get to Cozumel, I will definitely schedule a tour with them. Excellent customer service and no fears of being taken for a ride.

Booked via Royal Caribbean for the Wagon Wine Tasting Tour. The van we were picked up in was clean…read moreand cool but boy did our tour guide talk the WHOLE ride (45 mins or so). Don't get me wrong, I love learning some history and culture but it was a small van and sometimes I just wanted to look out the window without feeling the pressure to pay attention the whole time. It also got really political at some point and I felt a little awkward because I didn't know the other people on the tour and didn't know how to react, The guide also made some claims that I am not sure are rooted in any sort of facts, like that the cure for cancer is in Mexico...which, maybe I am ignorant but I had never heard that before. Loved the Don Tomas vineyard. It was beautiful and we enjoyed the wine! I wish it was longer, maybe if they included lunch at the restaurant or something that would have been nice. Could have spent the whole day there! Afterwards we went for a tequila tasting which I wasn't aware was a part of the tour. I think we got hustled a little to buy the bottles. We looked them up after we got back home and saw that some of these tour companies take you to these tastings and the tequila isn't legit. It tasted good but boy was it pricey. After that we had some time to walk around the town and shop. Our guide recommended a restaurant to eat at which was delicious, but didn't have a single fish item on the menu. He was talking up fish tacos so much and Ensenada being the home of the fish taco that we were excited to eat fish tacos!!! Why did he send us to a restaurant with no fish tacos? I was so confused. I jokingly confronted him about it and he kind of laughed it off. The shopping area was super touristy, nothing super exciting. A lot of the shops have the same thing. Overall, I'm glad we did the tour because it was a nice way to get out of the main tourisity part of Ensenada for a bit and see more.

Booked via Royal Caribbean, Food and Tequila Walking Tour of Ensenada, duration advertised 2 1/2…read morehours, but we ran over 3 hours, and had a delayed one hour start pushing our return close to gangway up time. I was resting shortly after getting back on ship in my cabin, and felt the ship move so pay attention to the time. Price was only around $50 as the excursion was discounted via the cruise line. As for the tour it was great, and you will get in some steps. Guide Angel, my group 15 persons which was ideal to interact with each other, and to fit in the vendors comfortably. Group meet at a vendor booth setup opposite the $RCL ship, and walked as a group into town. First Stop, the Fish Market to learn about the freshly caught fish, then a stop where we sat down and were served bottles of beverages, plus had a yummy Shrimp Taco, and explored a wide range of Salsas with in house made chips. Second Stop, a Confection shop with an indulgent number of sample sweets to be tasted and if wanted purchased. Huge platters of Fruit / Nut hand rolled sweets were tasted. Third Stop, Tequila tasting, more than a dozen sips were had across a wide range of tequilas. Tequilas tasted were across a wide range of price points and including flavored variations. Was a fun experience, liquor pours were sips so as to not intoxicate the group. Numerous bottles were purchased by the group. My favorite was the flavored Quita Penas. Fourth Stop, La Michocana for Mexican fruit popsicles, known as paletas, a nice stop to cleanse the palate. Fifth Stop, more Beverages, and a choice of 2 Tacos, that were really good, and at this point the Cruise Ship was again in view, but still a few minutes walk away. Overall a good value / experience, and a comfortable walking tour where our guide Angel watched over us, and smoothed over any language issues. Can happily endorse this excursion that is only available from this vendor via Royal Caribbean.
