I have been a carver and furniture maker for 30 years. Living in Hawaii, makes access to all things woodworking more challenging. This place is a toy store for woodworkers. Went in with my dog earlier today after learning about it and not only are they friendly, they're dog friendly. That's more important than some people think. Though I didn't need help as I was just browsing this visit, everyone was very eager and willing to lend a hand if I needed it and weren't pushy about it at all. All the conversations I had with the staff proved to me that they were all very genuine, enjoyed the trade, and were extremely knowledgeable and overall happy to work here. I was not a customer here, but wanted to share an experience I had with them today..... I had to report a violent crime to the Police department today, which is located across the street. My vehicle attracts break in's, coupled with parking being at a premium in that area, I asked one of the gentleman working there if he wouldn't mind me parking in their lot as it had ample spaces connected to it. He said 'no problem' and that they would be closing soon anyway so not to worry. About two-three hours later, figuring that I had more than worn out my welcome, an older gentleman came out as I was returning and - seeing my dog whom I was about to get back in the car - asked, "are you about to go walk him?" The implication in my mind being, "are you about to go walk him? because this is a business, please go take your personal matters elsewhere." I quickly answered him that the first employee had given me permission, and that I appreciated it, to which he responded, "I am the owner and of the same mind, I just want to make sure you're ok and let you know I just locked shop, please take your time." The kindness these guys showed on a garbage day of my own, unbeknownst to them, spoke volumes of their character. You can tell that they have old school integrity and concern for others, from the top on down. If I ever have any business for them, I will come here in a heart beat. read more

This store is amazing - a family-owned tool and machine shop that has been around for decades and offers stellar service, excellent prices, and no sales pressure! Three years ago I was looking to buy my first tablesaw and a chain woodworking store was kind enough to recommend Eagle (even though the chain store also sells tablesaw saws!) I'm so grateful they did. Eagle has a huge selection of machines and brands and they tell you honestly which ones are great, what upgrades are worth the money, and which ones you can skip to stick to a budget. That first visit I ended up buying a tablesaw, dust collector, and drill press. Over the years, I've bought a bigger dust collector, a jointer/planer, a huge woodworking bandsaw, a wood lathe, a metal cutting band saw, as well as numerous saw blades, bases, and other accessories. The sales guys are extremely knowledgeable, and they also have their own in-house machinists who can build the machines from scratch.
