BEWARE!!! Update 07/23/2024: After I was told to find a way to prove that I did take the car for an inspection within 15 days following the work, they still refused to acknowledge their mistake and denied my warranty. This is a statement from their former employee who assisted me during the initial transaction. "Yes I did with the prior owner. Sadly corporate came in and took it back over about a year ago. They are horrid at honoring warranties for anyone on anything. I left shortly after they took over : I wish you the best of luck with them and I would stay strong and fight them the whole way through. They are suppose to honor all when they took over, part of the buy out. They have done this at several locations and don't see them changing anytime soon until someone takes them down a notch. Recently, our Check Engine light prompted us to return for a diagnosis, expecting warranty coverage. However, the new manager, Aaron, was uncooperative. He refused to acknowledge our documented visit and declined further discussion, insisting we leave. He even withheld contact information for the owner. Wrongfully diagnosed!?! I brought my car in explaining that there was a rattling/ knocking noise coming from either my tire or the axel. I left the car there for a day and I was told I need a new transmission that would cost $7700 new or used $5500. I took it to another shop for a second opinion. they looked at it and informed me that the wheel was loose and two of the lug nuts had broken off. they replaced the two missing lugs and I was good to go! read more

The service of this place was great. The only issue is that if you purchase a Groupon this place makes you also pay their sales tax fee. So not only your paying the sales tax from the Groupon deal you are also having to pay an extra $5 dollar fee for their ridiculous sales tax. It's like what was the point of the Groupon! read more

In fairness after my negative review the manager contacted me to see what he could do to make things right. I appreciated his efforts in trying to restore my confidence in their shop. Spent $4800 on a new transmission, week later I was back for fluid leak, then back again about 2 months later due to loud noises. Was told nothing was wrong and it's "normal". Fast forward about 2-3 months the sound is now constant, constantly smell a burning clutch or hot metal smell, and there is clearly something not disengaging/engaging properly. Also my 4x4 linkage was not connected. This last time at the shop after TRYING to show Ken (manager) the numberous videos I had of everything it's doing they had my truck for 3 weeks. Never received a phone call, text, email. After calling he told me I "needed" to drive with one of the techs you recreate the issue. So I was suppose to diagnose the issue myself which I already know it's a bad throw out bearing and I've told them that many times. Transmission is under warranty still with just about 3k miles and 5 months left of it. Ken repetitively hung up on me when I finally got a little impatient at the fact they'd had my truck for 3 weeks with no answers. He yelled over the phone and would not answer any of my calls. At one point he picks up the phone "I'm not dealing with you come freaking get the damn truck" then hangs up again. Overall I got entirely screwed, I was completely disrespected by Ken and they will fight the absolute crap out of you to avoid ANY warranty work that requires some actual Man hours. I would suggest ANYONE looking for transmission repairs to go elsewhere. I have been polite, patient, and respectful through out all of this and I finally couldn't take it anymore and when I got impatient I was scolded by Ken. Overall this is by far the worst and most expensive experience I've had ANYWHERE! Please give me the justice of knowing I can turn at least one person away from these crooks. Broke the bank only to probably have to pay for more transmission repairs in the near future when the throw out bearing completely fails and lose my clutch. $4,800 for what? My Transmission started slipping, several times it took me an hour to drive 6 miles to get home. Made a few phone calls to different repair shops. Tony at Eagle was the first that offered a free diagnostic to find the problem. I took it to them. After discussing it with Tony I decided to have mine rebuilt. He ordered the parts a needed. Juan gave me a ride home. When it was fixed, Juan drove out and picked me up. Car shifts like new, very happy with the outcome. They kept me in the loop, explaining what parts were needed and why. Plus the have the best warranty. I'd recommend them. read more

I spoke with the Eagle Transmission Owner, and he listened to what I was asking and examined their records and my information. He also had a technician ride with me so I could show him the exact problem. Afterwards, he agreed to fix the problem. I will follow up next week on the results. I dropped my 1998 Jeep Cherokee off for a transmission rebuild over 8 weeks ago. The shop told me it should be done by the end of the week. The end of the week came and went. I called and they said they were having difficulty getting the parts. Another week or so passed, and I was told the parts came in but not all of them. I called them again after another week passed and now they said the torque converter that came with the parts was defective. Then the next week all the mechanics were out due to Covid but they were brining another mechanic in to finish my Jeep. That never happened and after 8 weeks they said the Jeep was finished and I could come get it. I tested the four-wheel drive in high and low only to find it wouldn't go into low. I took it back and waited another week, then was forced to call again as they don't communicate. They think two bad engine mounts are preventing it from shifting into 4 wheel low, which I highly doubt. Not surprisingly, they said it would be at least another 2 days til they can work on it. I'd have to say this is the worst customer service, worse communication, and worse maintenance facility I have ever used (and I've been to plenty of bad ones). They charged up front and apparently don't care to ever finish the job. I would never use this shop again. 9 weeks and counting is unacceptable for a rebuild. The other shops in the area I called said they could do it in one week. Beware, I recommend you go elsewhere unless you don't need your vehicle for a few months. read more

Third time in 2yrs. 2mos. I had my transmission lock in gear, and after spending $2,000 the first time, it did the same thing 1 month after the 1 year warranty expired and they "gave me a deal" only charged me $1,500 for the second time. They said they rebuilt it both times, but I have my doubts. (I keep up the maintenance very well and my transmission is a proven, reliable one with very low mileage.) It locked up again after 10 months. Under warranty, right? The manager began grooming me from the first call that about the problem is probably the solenoids. When I dropped it off, he said it was probably the solenoids. He took almost a full day to diagnose it (he ignored the fact that I had an appointment), then said, sure enough, he was right about what it was and that it wasn't a warranty item. A complete crock! Every other transmission shop covers this part under warranty. AND HE WANTED $912 TO FIX IT! I got the GM involved and they did the work for free AND IT DIDN'T WORK! They had it for a week and didn't fix it, and even admitted THAT IT WASN'T THE SOLENOIDS. I wound up taking it to another shop because they said it was an electrical issue. The shop, Southwest Auto Repair, had it fixed in 2 days for $260, or 28% of what Eagle had quoted me. Eagle has been the worst experience I've had in 52 years of driving. read more

Whether Monday or Friday these guys are always there for you. Also offer towing! If I have any other problems with any other vehicles I'll be back. Have had none since repaired correctly. They even gave old parts to show me what was wrong. Had to get my transmission rebuilt but the cost compared to other shops wasn't even comparable. We rolled in just before 5pm on a Friday, literally stalling at the garage door as the transmission died. The gentleman at the desk was courteous and professional, quickly got us in the system, and the owner even popped out to make sure we were covered. They ran diagnostics first part of the following week (note: apparently they prefer to bunch their diagnostic work towards the front end and repairs / roll-outs the rest of the week), and gave us a fair price for replacement consistent with the scope & cost several other shops quoted. Eagle gave us a few days of free storage to work out a plan, and never charged us a dime for storage or diagnostics, even though we ended up scrapping the vehicle and they made no money on us. Next time we are here, we hope to be paying customers! read more

My fuel pump went out on my Tundra and this was the closest place to tow it to. My truck has been sitting there for over a week now and I've received nothing but lies and excuses. They want to charge me over $1700 to replace the fuel pump. And the financing they" hooked me up with" will end up costing me over $4500. He stated they ordered the wrong part and repairs are delayed another 5 days now. I was told by the owner that the Toyota dealerships would charge me $4k+ and I should be grateful. After reading the bad reviews for this Eagle transmissions" , I called 2 Toyota dealerships and they told me not only did they have the part available but that total cost ( labor & parts ) would be $1035 I confronted the owner and sure enough the "temper issues" that are stated in other reviews were unleashed. He became real nasty and said the Toyota service reps were all lying. I'm trying to get it towed to a reputable dealership and he refuses to let me. He said " it's a done deal " & he's going to fix it AND put a lien on it as well as not allow me to cancel the financing for work that hasn't even been completed yet. Do not go to this place! Do not interact with Ken. He's a poor customer service minded service advisor. He may tell you he's the district manager but he's not. He may tell you he covers stores from Austin to Plano, but he does not. The only thing he will do is tell you that your torque converter failed and burnt up your over drive clutches. It's false. He says this to everyone that comes in and needs a transmission. Take your vehicle else where. Unless your vehicle needs 2-3k worth of repair, he's not going to care about you and keep you in the dark the entire time. He will say he has insurance companies that sell him transmissions for certain vehicles that have been wrecked and that's a lie. Those vehicles are junk yard vehicles. So my husband and I have been taking our vehicles here since at least 2013. When they say something good can never last? Well it finally happened. I have always dealt with Mark. He is fair and honest. I came to know this place after another local auto shop told me I needed a new engine for 2500. I said let me get a second opinion, had it towed to Eagle. Mark called me the next day to tell me I didn't need a whole new engine and he could fix my car for 800. Sold. And now I'm never taking my vehicle anywhere else. I went home and told everyone that would listen and wrote a glowing review because I had found the last honest mechanic and they were located right around the corner from us. My husband has had his vehicle there several times and we referred everyone to this shop. Fast forward to 2018. I dont know where Mark is? But Ken answered the phone when I called to check on my vehicle which I dropped off like I always do after hours. Usually, Mark gives me call right away but half way through the day no phone call so I call and Ken says he "believes it's my alternator but wont know for sure till he puts one on there AND its going to cost $750!!!!!!!" Um, I'm a girl but I'm not stupid. Online was able to find the part for my vehicle from 99.00 to 150.00. The kicker? Ken tried to tell me that it was the part that cost so much not the labor? Said they use parts as close to original equipment manufacturer, and provides warranty. I drive 2007 Jeep. I don't need OEM. What's worse is I'm a Marketing Manager who holds and MBA with a minor in Marketing. He didn't try to even negotiate with me. It was a take it or leave it attitude. In sales, you never just let a customer go to the competition without some negotiating. Never! My husband and I used to feel valued at this business. But now we are forced to look elsewhere and hope we can once again find what is lost. An honest and fair mechanic. We were able to get what needed to be done for half the cost. So my suggestion is make sure you look around and dont just take this Ken's guy word for it you can get the part cheaper and the work done elsewhere for less. Trust me, I did. read more

We were overall pleased with the service we received from Ken and crew. The only negative was it took them several days to get to the diagnosis and repairs. We brought the vehicle back for what we thought was a transmission leak but it turned out to be leaky oil filter. Ken provide an oil and filter change for us at charge. I've taken my car to Auto Doctor/Eagle Transmission for many years. They've always been honest and fair. Two years ago, when my car was having brain issues, they kept at it until the problem was found--yeah, it took a few trips and it got tedious, but cars can be obnoxious and difficult to figure out sometimes--especially old ones with multiple failings. Earlier this year, I took my car to another shop because it's closer to work. I know what dishonesty and incompetency look like now. After that, I told my wife that I was going back to Eagle Transmission from now on. I went two weeks ago and had work done on my Saturn. Sure, it cost a buck or two, but that's going to happen when a car ages and engine issues come up. It's worth it to have a shop I can trust to solve the problem and only the problem, shoot me straight with the price, and have me on my way. read more

I brought my son's Jeep in for a rear main seal leak. They did the repair, but there were still leaks from seal and from the oil pan, which had been damaged some time ago. Not only did they honor their warrantee for the seal, they replaced the oil pan at no charge. I was impressed. So, I'm a repeat customer for sure. read more

I have had my Honda Accord 18 years car has been serviced at dealership and major repair work as well. This company rebuilt my transmission and it's been fine this far a few months only. My issue is they and when I say they I mean the entire shop slapped interior back together and broke my ash tray into two pieces and glued back together and shoved up in a way that it wouldn't move until I opened it and it broke a spring. Turn over ash tray and it's cracked in two and cement glue slapped on there. Then I noticed my AC fan blower making a funny noise when the recirculating button pushed in sounded like ducts were miss aligned. Then the glove box cable that supports the glove box was missing and being held up by a small plastic gear that was not reinstalled properly that is the cause of the recirculating button not functioning properly. Now if anything goes wrong with transmission I will take a star away and so on. Maybe they have an apprentice or a new tech but quality over quantity and I would have been ok with a broken ash tray I would found another but to hide it and then repair it and not mention a word and then the glove box and the missing cable? Integrity of ones decisions affects the entire shop..Just make sure that when you take your car anyplace for repair don't be afraid to ask what was removed for repair so that when you get home you can have a look. If I could give this shop negative stars I would. My sister got her first car this past year and unfortunately the transmission went out on it shortly after. We trusted this shop as we were drawn by the good reviews but DON'T believe them!! Our car is in the shop for the THIRD time now in less than 8 months and for a complete transmission overhaul where we paid over $3k that is absolutely ludicrous. This last time I personally was driving the car with my 7 month old son and again, the transmission sounded like it was about to fall out of the car (it would not shift gears and was grinding.. 100% a transmission issue). Luckily I was able to react quickly and get us off the busy road before we wrecked. This was after the second time it had been in the shop and we had warranty work done on the same exact transmission. When we called they were hesitant to even tow the car back to their shop (I'm sure they knew it was because they had done shit work). They reluctantly did and then called my mother back and informed her we would have to spend another $7k to get the motor rebuilt because they had run diagnostics and the motor was seized up. (A.) The battery was dead from the hazards being on for two days while we were waiting for tow so how could you run a complete diagnostic? (B. )The car starts just fine, it just won't shift gears so how is the engine locked up again? The so called "manager" Ken, has treated my mother and sister as if they are complete idiots and has been completely disrespectful.. what if someone talked to your mother or sister the way you have to mine Ken? My Mother went up there to get receipts and it was then Ken made up another story of the car had run out of oil... WHAT?! There were no oil leaks ever and the last time the car had been in their shop for an overhaul was not even 2 months prior so I would think a fluids top off would be standard for a properly run mechanic shop correct? Regardless, I spent 6 years as a logistician in the US Army and I always maintenance vehicles so this dude is full of crap. This place is a cesspool of lies and trickery, if they can get over on you they will. But besides that fact, they put the life of my infant son and I in danger and for that, they can be expecting some papers on their desk real soon. See you in court Eagle Transmission! read more

Ken, the regional manager, threatened to sue me if I post a bad review. I repeat, he said he would sue for a negative review. I took my car in at 9 am in for what appeared to be gear slippage and initially Ken was very nice and even charismatic, it didn't hurt that the guy had a wiener dog with him. He told me they would run some diagnostics and call to let me know what was going on at 2 pm by the latest. At 4 pm I called back and Ken was rude and short and flippant. I hung up feeling helpless. This guy had my car and it was in his hands.. I called back to get a "worst case" estimate if they had to completely change the transmission and he outright refused to give me an estimate. He then let me know if I didn't like that then he would drop my car and I could pick it up. I lost my temper, which I'm not proud of, and told him in more words to drop it and that I would write a negative review. At that point Ken let me know they had great lawyers and they would be suing me so I should expect a call from their lawyer. Not sure if he realized that he threatened to sue me for enacting my freedom of speech. In fairness, he did call back to apologize but too little too late. He threatened the financial well being of my family because he couldn't deliver on his word. That is not OK! I wont tell anyone where to do business, but I will never.. ever... go back! read more
