The stay at Eagle Village I had with my family was nothing short of a nightmare. We had reserved 3 units: 1011,1012, and 1017. Due to the poorly lit conditions and the rotting wood combined with intermittent rain and snow, a family member actually fell down the steps of the unit and was seriously injured. Most of the furniture was ripped up. The carpets were ripped up and dirty. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The blinds were missing slats. The wooden railing was splitting. We found dead flies in unit 1012 plus the stench of hot sewage. A stair broke as we were walking inside the unit. The showers had mold. There was no water in the toilet bowls. Two people found dead bugs on their beds, resulting in them having to sleep in their jackets sitting up on the couch. We had reserved the units from Friday-Monday, but we all left on Sunday due to the horrific conditions. Honestly, 0/10 recommend staying here... it's SUPER gross and very outdated. read more

This is an interesting place. Idea behind it is great, however management of this "resort" forgot all about it. It is standing on a very large pond (no access to it), private houses for each family or company of friends. Spacious inside and that is all that is good. Unfortunately it's run down and seems that nobody cares about it. If you complain to front desk about anything broken or in need of immediate attention (such as stairs to your cabin and railings), they might acknowledge it, but will do nothing about it. Couches are scary to sit on, they did give us blankets to cover up whatever happened on them. That was said in previous reviews on different sites and I noticed to be true. It is livable for now, but looks like some of the houses will collapse on itself any minute now (one on the side of the road did ). Very sad... read more

Our visit to Tamiment Eagle Village in January 2024 was like staying in a 3rd world country. Unit #1024 The plastic blinds were missing 1/3 of the slats. The bathroom had roaches. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The sliding door in the kitchen area did not close nor lock- it was the same exact condition 6 years ago - electric heat just went out the door. The fireplace was missing tiles (original 30 + years) . The wallpaper was original (30+ years) and dirty. The return ducts were dirty. The new dishwasher was not secured to the cabinet - so when opening the door, the entire unit pulled out from the cabinet. The refrigerator light did not work. The siding and the steps (wooden) are rotting. The bathrooms were dirty. Carpets in bedrooms and staircase were dirty. The walkway to the unit was heaved due to tree roots, making for a dangerous path in the dark, as the path lights did not provide enough illumination. Booked for 7 days & only stayed 2 . Rebuttal to Attorney Gerneral Office. this isn't accurate I have evidence from new owner that I was staying there and Melanie Goocher property manager incriminating herself I've numerous emails and text messages from her that she was aware of me being there under Stephanie mills agreement . I don't own any animals someone stolen my property and trash the unit stating I did it. This is all fabrication.locks were changed owner for over 15 years. Never received any court papers the housing court check no.paperwork was filed against me. I never had any complaints against me at Eagle Village Resort. Melanie Gooche can write a fiction book with all her lies. The truth will be revealed. Ive all evidence and communication from her.I'm filing a lawsuit because this woman lied. I've all the evidence check on her responses on Google she's acknowledged that I'm there but couldn't agree to the previous manager Stephanie mills. I wish I can give Eagle Village Resort zero stars. I'm a owner and made arrangements to stay on property. I had two deaths in family within 4 days. I've been on property since 3/27/2024. Stephanie manager made arrangements were I was paying monthly. It was so much corruption going on , Owner terminated numerous employees. I haven't had electricity, heat, or water for numerous months causing extreme damage to my family physical, mental, emotional health. The new owners haven't complied with these horrible conditions. Who stay somewhere without water, to bathe and cooking etc. My food went bad in refigerstor and freezer. This unacceptable. I've been in compliance with the agreement with Stephanie, but new owner keep making excuses about the water etc. Please I need support from other owners please advise me. After hours Check in and checkout is a breeze. Office staff during business hours are efficient. The activities center is a good place for on-site activities like the indoor pool, playground, miniature golf, arcade, ping pong, and air hockey. A large binder provides lots of activities information for the surrounding area. At check-in, we received an information folder with resort policies, site map, contact information, and other helpful tid-bits for having an enjoyable vacation. Our accommodations (unit 1062) were right across from the office and walking distance to the barbecue grills and activities center. So convenient, especially for young teens in our group who don't have driver's licenses. Nice work on renovations, including bedrooms, common areas, and floors. In-unit washer, dryer, and full kitchen are terrific. Master bedroom tub is fantastic! Soooo nice after an activities-filled day! Screened-in porch and wooden deck provide beautiful nature views. Deer, chipmunk, and birds made their presence know with chewing, rustling, scurrying, and singing. During our stay, a screened-in porch light bulb burned out. Facilities staff member Griffin promptly arrived and resolved the issue. Thank you! This is a great place for a few days to a week...or much longer! read more

We spent a week last summer at this resort. It's recently been re-done and all the amenities are new! The pool, clubhouse, fitness center... and they even have $1 buy-in BINGO! I know, get excited. We had the great grandparents, grandparents, parents (that would be us) and our wee little nuggito at this condo resort and had lots of room... We made our meals in the full kitchen and it was just perfect. Nature surrounds you. It's quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. read more

I've been coming here for about 4 years now. We just came back a couple of days ago and it's still the same as always. They never update anything and everything is falling apart. WiFi isn't amazing & everything is old. The best part about that place is the indoor pool & the peacefulness. Saw 2 Black Bears it was a little scary (how it was right in next to our balcony & we weren't on the tree house, we had the attached ones # 1053)but they sure were beautiful. I have been coming here since I was born. My family has timeshare and stays the same week in the tree houses every Aug. It is quiet, so peaceful, and the most beautiful lake to look at everyday. The activity center has an indoor pool and outside patio area with tables and chairs and also lounge chairs. My family and I prefer going down to the lake and sitting on the floating dock. We swim in the lake all day. It's clean and very clear. The animals don't bother us and there are no bugs on the dock. You can also rent the row boats and take them out on the lake. Lots of sunnies in the water to keep the kids happy and busy fishing. read more

This place is a classic example of extremely poor management. I came to stay with family one night. I loved the location right next to Bushkill Falls and the woodsy atmosphere. Thats where the good ends and the disgust begins. Upon arrival to the cabin, I was killing dozens of flies in the cabin. They were coming through the old windows. The rugs were very dirty, stained and wore thin. The air vents were dirty. Mold in the corners of the ceiling. Cracked glass in the bathroom. Sofa nasty and dirty. They give you brown towels to hide any stains. One the outside, there was a tree growing out the gutter. The roofs on a majority of the cabins are coated with algae or moss. The cabins smell musty. Since I was staying one night I refused to take a shower and tried not to touch anything. Its so SAD because the cabin layout is so cute and this place could be spectacular with a good remodel and management that cared. Needless to say, this is my 1st and last stay and I will advise everyone to stay clear. read more

My husband and I came here for our anniversary and we enjoyed the peacefulness and beautiful views. We had 1011 which was right next to the lake. As described, they are dated and rustic. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. I'm really fussy with cleanliness especially with linens. I was pleased here. It was nice to have a washer and dryer that you didn't have to pay for. We had a fireplace that we got to enjoy as well. We seen deer one night that almost came right up for us to pet! They had all kitchen appliances that you would need. If you like coffee, plan on buying some. Check in was smooth, check out was not. The receptionist was extremely rude! But overall, it was worth the money. read more

Very nice and exactly how it was described. "Dated", "rustic" etc. our unit though dated and rustic, was nice, clean and comfortable. And deer roaming through the area is nice to see. The local bar down the road "The Log Cabin" is a locals bar, but it's friendly and decent pizza. Now the bad news. AT&T does not work well at the resort. They provide wifi, but it's still sketchy. This place is a dump. They say they are going through renovations, I can understand that. However, our accommodations were disgusting. Moldy shower curtains, fresh spills on carpet never even attempted to be cleaned, horrible mattresses, (we went out and bought air mattresses). The walls were covered with God knows what. No housekeeping, (but they wanted us to leave a tip for the non-existent housekeepers) sheets and towels were gross, (we bought our own of those as well). Don't waste your money. Pool smelled of propane and human waste, mini golf was a danger to our safety. read more

I booked on hotel.com and I decided to call the place to confirm my reservation since I have 10 people coming and thank goodness I did that because I was told by them that hotel.com cancel it so when I called hotel.com I was finally told after costing $52.00 to call them since the number is in New Zealand that Eagle Village does not accept a one night stay and they cancel me. No where on the website for hotel.com or Eagle Village does it say that. so now I have no where to stay since the Village told me they have no openings so I know they just cancel me since they probably have someone coming in either paying more or staying longer. That is a horrible way to do business, no way would I ever stay there. read more

Eagle Village posts a fair assessment about the quality of its accommodations on its website: "As time moves on, however, it also takes its toll. Built in the 1980's, our accommodations are dated and show normal wear and tear for their age." It definitely ain't no spring chicken. Thankfully, Tripadvisor reviewers weren't wrong when they said the place was clean, but I didn't share their warm, glowing sentiment for Eagle Village. Even in our "newer" Phase 3 part of the development, out unit could have used some maintenance work, including on peeling wallpaper, deteriorating kitchen/bathroom counters, and broken blinds. However, what put me off most was the outdated, stained, almost-shag, mottled-pattern carpet -- I certainly didn't want my 13-month old crawling around on that! On the plus side, the 3 bedrooms were well spaced around the open-layout common-areas for privacy and soundproofing. The baby slept in both downstairs bedrooms and never woke from our noise. The beds were also clean, new, and happily firm. It's a bit of a hike from parking lot to unit though, so if you, like our baby, have a lot of luggage, be prepared to make a lot of trips back and forth. We never made it to the lake on the grounds, but the large indoor pool is quite nice, and the locker rooms are clean. Other than the pool and a small outdoor playground, and a very-very-mini golf, however, there's not much going on at the recently-built Rec Center. The fitness center is a few machines squeezed into a narrow corner of the building. Also note you'll have to supply your own quarters for any of the arcade games, billiards, and air hockey, which is kind of annoying. And for anyone who cares, there's a solid wifi connection at the Rec Center, compared to the spotty (but admittedly occasionally-accessible) connection we had in the unit itself. Similarly, if you have ATT for mobile service, consider yourself in the boonies; Verizon was ok though. Eagle Village is a good place for people to come and focus on each other -- mostly bc there's not much to do unless you leave the grounds! The "pluses" at this resort/timeshare are really things that should be a given for the Poconos area -- full kitchen, peace and quiet in nature, decent pool. It was fine for what it was, but travelers pay too much for lodging to settle. Sadly, as much as I wanted to like it, with so many alternatives nearby I probably would not stay here again. read more

NASTY NASTY NASTY....the People and the Place. The People: the Eagle Village Property Owners Assoc is suing my 83 yr old Mom for maintenance fees on a time share she is not on the deed to. My father, who purchased the time share in 1988 for $8000 plus $19,500 maintenance fees since, died in December 2013, and now the Association brought suit against his wife. She lives on a very small fixed income. The Association has brutally harassed her. The Place: THE EAGLE VILLAGE WEBSITE SAYS IT ALL: "Our timeshare units reflect the rustic feel of their surroundings with comfortable, yet dated furnishings. The rolling nature of the landscape makes it likely that there will be stairs leading to the units. All units are two stories, which include additional stairs inside. We are proud of our resort, which has stood the test of time for the last thirty years. We are now experiencing 2nd generation owners and families enjoying what we have to offer. As time moves on, however, it also takes its toll. Built in the 1980's, our accommodations are dated and show normal wear and tear for their age.' read more

I had read the reviews and the website so I wasn't expecting fancy--and it wasn't. But we enjoyed the peaceful, quiet setting, and our unit was tidy and clean. But I was surprised at just how very in need of maintenance and updating it was. Countertops were chipped and stained in the kitchen and bathrooms. Strips of wood veneer were missing in several places on cabinets. Several floor tiles were completely loose, and there were stains on the carpet. I don't consider those features rustic; I consider them just really poor maintenance. And the bed...I won't even begin to describe how horrible it was. As for service, the ladies were nice at check-in, but that was it. There was no other service for the week we were there: no towel exchange, no midweek tidy up, no trash pickup, nothing. All that said, we still liked the quiet, wooded area and lake view. The condo was roomy and would easily sleep eight. There was plenty of hot water; the internet was fine, and we enjoyed having a washer and dryer so that we didn't have to pack so much (especially since we had to carry our luggage up 14 stairs to reach the unit) Would we go back? Yes. Would we recommend this resort to others? Only if they understood the limitations I have mentioned. And to the owners: you need to do some basic maintenance. Even cheap hotels are better maintained than these units! read more

Very nice family place but doesn't have a golf course and outdoor pool like advertised. No matter. Great not so little 2 bedroom condos with large lofts, can hold about 10 people plus. Nice lake, free row boats, indoor pool, tennis courts, horse shoes, bbq area, volleyball, game room. Kids will love it and if you like Bushkill Falls, its 5 minutes away. Cool place for family fun. Glad to see management is investing in the property, with some new air conditioning, roofs, and stairs/decks. Interior decoration would also be money well spent, though the spacious structure of the units themselves, delightful rustic atmosphere, and value more than make up for the old flooring and wallpaper. There is nothing here , no service, no WiFi, no activities , no amenities , I have 4 kids 4 to 14 and nothing to do . Worst thing are the rooms MY GOD they are dingy , stained , beds are broken , furniture looks like was picked up at yard sales .I always stay at silver or gold crown with RCI and now I know why . I booked a week but we're leaving early . They should make this a retirement home.... read more
