    Cracked glass over jacuzzi tub.

This place is a classic example of extremely poor management. I came to stay with family one night. I loved the location right next to Bushkill Falls and the woodsy atmosphere. Thats where the good ends and the disgust begins. Upon arrival to the cabin, I was killing dozens of flies in the cabin. They were coming through the old windows. The rugs were very dirty, stained and wore thin. The air vents were dirty. Mold in the corners of the ceiling. Cracked glass in the bathroom. Sofa nasty and dirty. They give you brown towels to hide any stains. One the outside, there was a tree growing out the gutter. The roofs on a majority of the cabins are coated with algae or moss. The cabins smell musty. Since I was staying one night I refused to take a shower and tried not to touch anything. Its so SAD because the cabin layout is so cute and this place could be spectacular with a good remodel and management that cared. Needless to say, this is my 1st and last stay and I will advise everyone to stay clear.

I have been coming here since I was born. My family has timeshare and stays the same week in the tree houses every Aug. It is quiet, so peaceful, and the most beautiful lake to look at everyday. The activity center has an indoor pool and outside patio area with tables and chairs and also lounge chairs. My family and I prefer going down to the lake and sitting on the floating dock. We swim in the lake all day. It's clean and very clear. The animals don't bother us and there are no bugs on the dock. You can also rent the row boats and take them out on the lake. Lots of sunnies in the water to keep the kids happy and busy fishing.

We seen about 6 deer that almost came right up for us to pet!

My husband and I came here for our anniversary and we enjoyed the peacefulness and beautiful views. We had 1011 which was right next to the lake. As described, they are dated and rustic. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. I'm really fussy with cleanliness especially with linens. I was pleased here. It was nice to have a washer and dryer that you didn't have to pay for. We had a fireplace that we got to enjoy as well. We seen deer one night that almost came right up for us to pet! They had all kitchen appliances that you would need. If you like coffee, plan on buying some. Check in was smooth, check out was not. The receptionist was extremely rude! But overall, it was worth the money.

Checked in and found mouse droppings.

The Poconos Club - #10 - Not terribly long but narrow as hell with trees and homes on both sides

    The Poconos Club

If you're someone that golfs Pocono area courses, imho, this one has all three clichés that every…read morecourse possesses: 1. A lot of elevation changes. Flat is for suckers. 2. Narrow everything. Bring balls....lots 3. Duh, a lot of f-ing trees. A few random thoughts: The carts here all have GPS and if you've never played here, you'll quickly understand why. It's spread out and built within/around a housing community. One wrong turn and you will go down someone's driveway & show up at their garage looking for a tee box or miss a turn and be truly lost. The distance between 16 & 17 is almost 4 minutes....not walking, on a cart. The course is tough but also fair. Each hole is unique and no two are quite the same. You have one or two drivable par fours like #8 that's only 240 but then right before that is #7 which is about 550 with a hard left dog leg. Tons of trees, a lot of sand and a lot of wasteland/swamp to hit over on certain holes which requires some thought about laying up or going cowboy. I can't comment on pace of play because that didn't apply to us. Mid-week in November and we had the 2nd tee-time out. We had to wait 90 minutes due to frost on the course (even when we started it was barely, if, above freezing) and the guy in front of us rebooked for another day. We went door to door in a little over three hours and when we were at 17, the nearest group behind us was on 12. For the majority of holes, hitting straight is king. Not a lot of room to hook or slice unless you want to find the woods or someone's back porch. While I have not played all or hell, even most of the courses in the area, let me give a brief comparison. Is this the nicest course? No. I would say that's Pinecrest. Is this the worst course? No. I would say that's Pocono Manor. This one is much more the former thankfully then the latter. With that said, the course changed ownership not that long ago and things are in a period of repair and transition as you will see on most of the tee boxes which are torn up pretty bad with a few basically being just dirt. Would I come back here again? No question. While in season pricing is $50, right now they are doing 20% off on the off season price which makes it $24pp with a cart. That my friends is a good deal and very fair for this level of scenery and play. We'll be back.
