For the past 3 1/2 years, our daughter has had the incredible blessing of attending Eagles Nest Preschool through the City of Whittier, and we truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this school. From the very beginning, Eagles Nest has been a loving, nurturing, and professional environment where children are genuinely cared for and celebrated. The staff is highly educated, experienced, and deeply committed to each child's growth -- academically, socially, and emotionally. Their dedication shows in everything they do. Our daughter has flourished here. She is happy, confident, and excited to go to school each day. She has built meaningful friendships and formed beautiful bonds with her teachers, who have shown her patience, encouragement, and kindness every step of the way. The curriculum is thoughtful and engaging, and the special events they incorporate throughout the year truly make families feel involved and connected. What stands out most is the heart of this school. The teachers and administrators are willing to work closely with families, offering support and guidance through behavioral challenges or learning struggles with compassion and professionalism. I enrolled my son at this daycare when he was only 5-6 months old and not even crawling yet. By his third day there, he came home with two bruises on his face. I initially brushed it off, but over time he continued coming home with scratches, bruises, and marks on his body on a regular basis. Each time I asked about them, staff were unable to explain how they happened. As a parent, that was extremely concerning. I repeatedly brought my concerns to the staff and administration, but I often felt dismissed. I also asked Jennifer if I could review the camera footage, but I was told recordings were only kept for 24 hours and had already been deleted. Another concern was the lack of communication. When picking up my son, staff rarely provided updates about his day and often seemed rushed or unwilling to discuss concerns. Instead of feeling welcomed and reassured, I frequently felt uncomfortable and unheard. My experience left me feeling that my concerns were not taken seriously and that staff were more focused on defending one another than addressing legitimate questions about my child's safety. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this daycare for infants or children who are not yet able to communicate what happens during the day. read more

As a mom of 3, my youngest was the only one that I needed daycare for :-( it was a stressful yet heartbreaking idea to even think I had to look for a daycare for my 1 year old. I came across Eagles Nest after driving home one day and decided to give them a call. I got a tour of the program and classrooms and cannot express how loving and caring this daycare felt. From the minute I walked in, all the teachers seemed loving and just gave the warmest feeling. The amount they all put into each kiddo I felt confident to leave my daughter there. I honestly can't say enough amazing things about Eagles Nest Preschool! It came highly recommended by two of my cousins, whose kids both go there, and from day one, we've been beyond impressed with the care and love they give. The staff is so sweet and welcoming. I always get a warm "Good morning!" and a smile from Ms. Jennifer or Mrs. Gloria at the front desk. My little guy is almost 5 months old and he lights up every time he hears Mrs. Nora's voice. I'm a first time mom and on his very first day, Ms. Faith made me feel so at ease. She saw the sadness and overwhelm on my face as tears streamed down my cheeks, and she comforted me, reassuring me that he was in the best hands. Eagles Nest has been such an amazing place for our family to rely on for childcare. Our son has attended Eagles Nest since he was just under 2 and now he's 3 1/2. My kids have been coming to eagles nest for over 3 years and they love it! They have made friends along the way and have learned so much. Eagles nest is the home away from home. I feel safe and secure dropping my kids off knowing they are in great hands. Ms. Gina in the infant room does a great job updating the app with cute photos and updates of my babies. It makes my day to see my kids having fun at school. Ms. Ivy and Ms. Cristina in the toddler room do a great job at teaching. My toddler has learned so much from them. I joined Eagles Nest when my son was 2 1/2, he just proudly graduated from this preschool at 4 years old. Eagles Nest was one of many schools in the area we looked at. As a new parent, you are super curious (anxious). How will they deal with tantrums... misbehaving... potty time etc. Will your child like his teacher? Will he ever relax? Will he be excited to come to preschool everyday? Eagles Nest staff became my second family. My son was anxious at first. He'd cry when I'd leave, like many children that join a school for the first time. Ms Jennifer and Ms Gloria are pros. They know child behavior, they eased my worries and his, one on one. Our teacher Ms Mercedes, was full of love, sensitivity and would watch his improvements carefully for me, she told me all I wanted to know. How he ate, drank, what he asked for. I felt safe and cared for. Communication with staff is encouraged. They have a texting system and app that keeps you informed, gives reminders to stay involved when you can't be. I was lucky enough to have time to give to this school. I was a parent volunteer the 2 years we were there, I saw many situations arise and the consistency between the teachers and children was awesome. They not only prepared my child for friends and school, they prepared me too! I experienced 3 classrooms there. They were each different, but were each a family. So back to the question ... will he enjoy coming to preschool? Oh yes... by the second year, there was a lot of name chanting, hugging mates, running thru the halls to get to the breakfast table in the class... I'd get pushed out! Bye mom! Meals are made fresh by a talented cafeteria lady, Nora. Teachers like Ms Rita teach thru play, they talk respectfully to the kids and I learned some pointers myself on how to communicate effectively. He'd come home and teach us, remind us, to wash our hands. He's now graduated and thanks to Ms Indi and all her positive encouragement and fun style, my son writes his name, memorizes children books and has an awesome vocabulary. I highly recommend this school for preparation. It's small enough for the child to feel cared for and large enough to facilitate exploration and growth, thru extra curricular classes in the multipurpose room, like dance and sports. This is very long overdue but Eagles Nest is a wonderful daycare and preschool that will care for your child like their own. My son started when he was barely 4 months old and Nicole was the most amazing person who made me really feel like my son had an extension of myself whenever he was there. It's so hard to leave a baby that small but she truly made both him and our family feel safe and cared for. He continued through pre-k and we were so fortunate to have Priscilla as his teacher who is such a light and helped break our super shy kid out of his shell with patience and positivity. We decided to enroll our son in this preschool to help develop his speech and language skills, social skills, and to better prepare him for elementary school. He is a delayed in speech and has trouble with attention due to being full of energy, but he can be redirected and guided. The school district recommended we enroll him in a preschool and had high praise for this school. We unfortunately had the opposite experience. I did everything in my power as a mother to prepare him for success here. I did tell them about some of his challenges but also how to work with him, and they assured me they are patient and they were sure he would adapt. He was asked to unenroll after only 4 hours of attendance! I was refunded the tuition I paid, but I was not refunded the $200 enrollment fee. It is very unfortunate to see individuals choose the profession of teaching children without patience, care, compassion, or understanding. Not all children are the same. They are all unique in gifts and strengths. And I do not see challenges as a weakness. I as a mom know with a proper upbringing and support system he will succeed in anything he does in life. Stubbornness in children can be a great leader in adulthood. So many fail to see that. This school is only in this profession for the business unfortunately. If your child is very calm naturally, I am sure they will do great. If your child is hyper and needs some extra guidance, please consider taking them elsewhere. They offer no time for adjustment, and you will lose out on $200. read more

I can't recommend Eagles Nest any more highly! My son (now nearly 3) started there just after he had turned 2. We loved from the beginning. He started in Room 3, then moved up to Room 7. Ms. Trinity and Ms. Melissa in Room 7 are wonderful with my son. They have been working on potty training and making leaps and bounds. He still resists me at home but they somehow get him to comply. They are compassionate and wonderful. When he moved up from Room 3, he missed Ms. Anisha a lot. She is one of his favorites! My son went through a hard time in Room 7 where he was biting. They handled it well and be sure to let me know what was happening. These things happen with kids. There is no avoiding it. They can only do their best to manage the situation and they did just that. My daughter (8 months) started there in November. She is in Room 7. Ms. Mercedes and Ms. Cinthia are wonderful with her. They are so good with my daughter and love her like their own. Everyone at Eagles Nest is great, I wish I could list them all by name. They are all lovely ladies who care about my kids and take good care of them while I'm away. As a parent, there is nothing more comforting. If I cannot be taking care of my kids myself, it helps to know that are in capable and loving hands. The office ladies are the best - Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Priscilla and Ms. Gloria. They do so much to make sure I'm comfortable and aware of my childrens' progress, if they have a tough day or if they have a funny story to share. We are moving out of the area and that is the only reason we will be leaving. I hate to go. We will miss them all so much! read more

I love this daycare. I have a 10 month old and a 2 1/2 year old. The staff are so great with my kids. My kids have been attending for almost a year now. I have seen such an improvement in my older child. He is more outgoing since starting here and the improvement in his language skills is very noticeable. They are currently working on potty training my oldest which has been such a help. The teachers in the infant room are so wonderful. My 10 month old is trying to walk and they have been great with assisting in this. The summer program was worth the extra money. They had summer camp, science camp, cooking camp, art camp, fishing camp, and splash camp.The staff is so friendly. This place came highly recommended from the district but we soon found out the harsh reality of this place. I will start off by saying that my 4 year old had a good first time experience being in a setting other than our home. This was her first time ever attending any other setting for education/daycare. We didn't have a need for her to be in preschool, but her enthusiasm to start school and meet friends was something she desired. Now as a parent, my review and interest is different. Although my child always had fun, I expected more from the preschool itself. On the first day there was already a small issue (for me personally). We arrived and the director was walking my child and I into the 3-4 year olds class and assigning her a cubby. After I told her she herself had told me she would be in the 4-5 year olds classroom she corrected her mistake. We walked into the 4-5 year olds class and her teacher appeared to have no idea that she was starting. There was no cubby for her or any type of acknowledgement that she would be in that class. Also, there was a hand foot mouth incident in one of the classrooms the week she started, and I was never notified. As the weeks progressed, I began to notice the chaotic and unorganized environment.I wont say it was 100% of the time, but most times the classroom itself was LOUD, especially during lunchtime. We were also never acknowledged during drop off until weeks after. My husband would also say it was "weird" because they never said hi or anything (first few weeks) . I had a family member also help with drop off and pick up and she herself told me the teachers never even check to see who she was picking up. My child would just see her at the door and would leave. I wont say it was 100% of the time, but most times the classroom itself was LOUD, especially during lunchtime. There were three occasions where I walked in to drop off my child and there was cause for concern for the safety of the kids. One time there was 2 boys rough housing and physically hitting each other, the teacher never saw them. Thankfully, one of the lunch ladies saw them and told them to stop. She then told me "don't worry, your child wont be getting hit". I'm sure she saw the look on my face like 'what the heck is going on here". On another occasion, the kids seemed to be playing pretend. Using their chairs lined up to simulate a bus. The teacher had asked everyone to put the chairs away. She was in the back of the room, while some kids where in the main circle area. Two boys had gotten a hold of a chair and where pulling it back and forth. This was of severe concern since the legs of the chair were very close to one of the childs face and could of caused serious injury. On another occasion two boys where having a good conversation, out of nowhere another boy comes over and shoves one of the boys against the wall. The child cries and the teacher (one of the assistants) walks over to him and tells the crying child "that's why we walk". I couldn't believe what I was hearing. This teacher didn't even ask what happened or why he was crying. I was on my point of walking out when I heard her say that. I couldn't just leave. I opened the door again and told her exactly what happened. She just looked at me but didn't say anything. Upon recent weeks and months I had started noticing that they would send my child to another classroom. She would also tell me "I went to the babies classroom today". Then I started to notice younger kids in her class. Which I then noted a more inconsistent environment and definitely behavior changes in my own child. When I brought this up to the director, she said they did this to keep the classrooms within ratio because they didn't have enough staff sometimes. Needless to say, I was tired of paying $ and my child not really appearing to have learned anything and her behavior changing. On the brochure they say children will learn science, languages, music etc. I would ask my child daily what she learned. 90% of the time she would tell me she just played. On occasions she would tell me they learned about a specific letter or shape but those occasions where rare. They tried to tell me that children this young don't really have the capacity to say or remember what they did during the day. They also said the first few months were focused on children recognizing their name and understanding the classroom expectations and routines. It was January and nothing had changed. Within 1 1/2 weeks of being in another preschool, my child tells me daily what she does. She has been taught 2 letters and their sounds, how to say hello in Chinese and she learned that the sun is not a planet but a star. When I drop her off at her new preschool, kids are engaged in an activity and there is no loud chaos, which Eagles Nest claimed it was hectic because it was transition time. Overall, I would say it's a good place for younger children or for general care. However for a 4 year old who will soon be in kinder we felt as parents, we needed her to be challenged and learning needed to expand. read more

Before you start reading, please note that this is a long review. As a dad I must let other parents know this place. We used to take my little daughter to this place since July 2017. She started in room 3: 13-24 months. We were happy about this place as we had some peace of mind knowing my child will be in safe hands till we pick her up. However lots of things happened recently around my baby and now we have lost my peace of mind. We know things happen when dealing with kids but these are not acceptable as staff is not kids, they are fully grown up adults. Here's my list of things which caused losing our mind. Location: Number of Registered sex offenders around this place have gone up rapidly for the last few months. Check this government official website if you think I'm bluffing. At the time of this review there are 57 offenders within 2 mile radius from the address of this facility. They say sorry when something happen, but we are not paying nearly $300 per week for this type of drama. Most of things happened when Mercedes was in charge. Once when Abby was In charge my baby was outside playing, Ac unit of the class room suddenly drained the water on her and she got fully wet by the dirty water from the AC unit. It was Abbys fault. I mean I wouldn't let 16 month old to play under a AC unit, but i know who would, Its ABBY!. Using wrong diapers: (This is a staff wide problem).Regardless of the diapers we sent to be used for my daughter somehow they find a way to mix up diapers. This has happened more than 5 times to my baby and each time she got a diaper rash as a result of using wrong diaper brand. Each time thing happen we brought this up to the attention of administration, and they gladly named all diapers with baby's names but issue kept repeating. What are they blind? or can't read English? 5 times ? that's too much. Sudden changes to lunch menu; Lunch menu is a joke. They publish lunch menu ahead of time but end up offering something else and then they blame on Costco Business Delivery and say "oh Costco didn't had what we wanted so they sent something else".( I remember hearing that many times from Prisclla and Gloria). So what? Work on your negotiation skills and get the food right, rather than blaming it on others. Bad odors, germs in class rooms: Lately when I go to pick my daughter her class smalls like trash. I mean we can smell It moment we open the door in the hall way, have the adults gone nose blind? By the way ever since my daughter enrolled with this place she got 4 ear infections , two rash and one time she had hand foot mouth disease from this place. Once again we are aware that kids get sick more frequently when they are with other kids. However it's a responsibility of administration and teaches to keep their class room's germ free. We can totally say my daughter get sick because of the day care because she gets healthier when she's not attending this facility and it will take only 4 days for her to get sick when she's attending. They don't offer any medication: Yeah! If your kid needs medication and even if you fill out state required forms authorizing provider to give medication they wont do that. Their policy is not to give any prescription medication, We were told this many times by Jennifer. I remember countless times I drove back and forth between my office and this pace, just to give my baby's medication. Poor quality meals/snacks: Once my daughter developed a major allergic reaction to a something she ate from pre-school. When we picked her up we can clearly see she got some hives on her skin. Despite of my questions we recall Mercedes kept saying it was a mosquito bite from home. Well where we live we don't have any mosquitoes. We quickly took her to ER where she received a shot to control her reaction. Other things we hated about this place are; Teachers don't come to work on time, Crowded classes, Unsafe pay areas,(yeah, there's one right next to Colima road, its like playing on the road),when ever we want to bring something up to attention of administration Jennifer backs out and send Gloria in, and Gloria, Yap whenever she opens her mouth, a lie comes out!,so watch for that one. We gave them many chances, but we don't think it worked, Place has safety issues (both internal and external), they lack cleanness, hygiene and full of germs. I had an emergency situation where i needed to place my son somewhere asap! I had 4 schools i needed to tour in one afternoon ( picked somewhere close to home so dad could pick him up after work). I am writing this review due to their customer service, they listened to me vent and were so helpful!! Jennifer was amazing, as well as Gloria for dropping everything to give me a tour. My son attended Eagles Nest infant classroom and we had the best experience with his teachers and supporting staff. This was our first transition into a school setting when I decided to go back to work. My son started when he was 18 months old. I got a tour of the facility, was able to talk to staff, and was informed about their routine/schedule. They helped us ease him into the new transition and staff was always super sweet when I had questions. My son was provided breakfast/lunch and snack everyday. Another thing that was helpful was their app. Eagles Nest has a parent app that provided me of updates about diaper changes/meal times/nap times and activities. I was able to message staff when I needed to and they sometimes sent me pictures of my son and what he was doing. My son loved his teachers, especially Ms. Rita, Ms. Anisha, and Ms. Leslie. I was also able to build a good relationship with Ms. Priscilla, Ms. Nicole, and Ms. Trinity. Other staff was always friendly and helpful. Love this place! Love the facility, and their cleanliness! Awesome security doors when you walk in, allows me to leave my child knowing that she is in wonderful hands. The staff has been welcoming since day one and continues to be. My daughters vocabulary has expanded since attending this facility. My daughters teacher is Ms.Rita and every morning when I wake her up I tell her lets go see Ms. Rita and she smiles and says "Rita, Rita!" As soon as I walk into her class room, as I sign her in Ms. Rita greets us and encourages my daughter to come and play. I'm lucky if I even get a goodbye kiss or hug!! She loves it here!! I plan on having my child here till she out grows the place. Love walking through and everyone greets her while my daughter smiles big. Let's me know she enjoys it there and enjoys her caregivers. I had to update my review and write about Miss Trinity in Miss Rita's toddler class. Miss Rita took a 2 week vacay and Miss Trinity STEPPED UP! On the days when i would pick up my son, she mentioned to me if she noticed anything different or out of the ordinary with him or his behavior. Including the fact that he would ask a lot for water or that she noticed he needs "space" at times... when playing. It's these little things, that matter! It's not easy dealing with that age group and those kids are wild ones! Thankfully, Miss Rita is back! Her and Miss Trinity make an awesome team! read more

My baby went here since 7 months. I've seen many daycare service providers but so far there's hardly any that I like as much as this one. The staffs are genuinely passionate about kids, which is something I've rarely seen in other places at this price range, or even some high end ones. My baby never cries when we drop her off but frequently cries when we pick her up because she likes school so much. That's a good problem to have and I'm not the only parents who have this problem. My baby learned a lot more than I expected an infant would learn and she certainly enjoys school. I'm nothing but grateful that my baby was surrounded by teachers full of love and kindness in her first two years.
