This school is truly a gem. My son attended for 2 years and I couldn't be more grateful for the teachers supporting his growth here. My daughter went here during covid as I was working very close by and her day care had closed. So I was searching since I had to keep working. I'm so glad that I came upon Mulberry tree. She loved all her teachers! I felt she was safe and taken care of there. You can tell the teachers really cared for the kids. Loved this school!! My child went here for 2 years before we transitioned her into a new school. I would highly recommend this school. As a first time parent , my husband and I were very worried about sending our child to school when she wasnt completely potty trained. The fully trained, female staff made me feel comfortable and at home! I valued the fact that we were able to come in and pick up our child unannounced. It gave me a sense of "NO FUNNY BUSINESS " was happening. They always gave me a prompt responses and pictures of my child through a text app throughout the day. At a very early age my daughter was identifying letters and numbers and was able to spell her name. SHOUT OUT MULBERRY TREE! We couldn't have found a better school After researching dozens of schools and many tours, we always came right back to Mulberry Tree Preschool! Our initial feeling, was "wow, this really looks like a home, so clean, and the staff is so friendly. Is this a dream?" **long post but worth it** I don't even know if I could put into words how great this school is. My educational background is in Child Development so putting my son in a school that met all of my needs was hard. I toured and researched reviews for numerous child development centers before finding Mulberry Tree Preschool. When I arrived I could tell by the environment that they were a Reggio Emilia inspired school. Their play-based and emergent curriculum ensures that children are interested in what they're learning and it's continuously emerging with the interests of the children. It's hard to find schools that don't have pre-planned curriculum that many times don't interest the children. I loved that my son was always full of sand or dirt when I picked him up because I knew that he actually played and was engrossed in it. To the naked eye their outdoor environment might look a little plain because it doesn't have busy colors or jungle gyms but there are so many provoking materials for them to play with and use their imagination with. My son started in the 2's-3's (Busy Bees) classroom when he was 2 months away from his 4th birthday. I was a little apprehensive because he would be one of the oldest in his class but it was such a great class (the largest classroom) and had so many different areas/centers that the transition to child care was easy on him. I loved how the director, Ms. Miachelle told us that they wanted to give him a week or so to get acclimated before taking his picture for his cubby/picture on the wall. So many teachers overlook how invasive and intimidating it might be when a stranger approaches you for a picture. But they have so much respect and understanding of the emotional needs of children. One aspect of their school that really won me over is their approach on art. I didn't see pre-made or cookie-cutter crafts on the walls. They had authentic art created by the children. Process over product art. He had a brief stay in the 4's class (Caterpillars) during the summer but they called me and asked me if I would like to move him to the Transitional kindergarten class (Butterfies). Either he'd be the oldest in the Caterpillars or the youngest in the Butterflies. I had a couple questions and wanted to see if they thought he was emotionally/academically ready and they thought he was. During the parents preview night I asked the TK teacher, Ms. Neftali, if she thought that he would be okay in her class because I had seen work from the previous years students where they were writing words in journals and my son wasn't at that point. She told me that she believed by the end of the school year that he'd be there too. And he was! He was only at Mulberry Tree Preschool for 14 months and during that time he learned how to properly hold scissors, learned numbers passed 100, uppercase and lowercase letters, reading 3-4 lettered words, how to write his first and last name and so much more! They were so encouraging and informative throughout his entire journey at Mulberry Tree Preschool and I wish he could have stayed there longer! I could write so much more about how amazing their school is but I think that I've written enough! So thank you so much Miachelle and the staff for all that you did for Judah and for our family. You ladies have shaped his life and made him confident and excited for kindergarten! read more

My son has been going here for a whole year now!!! We have had our ups and downs with my son being SO strong willed but, regardless the staff and owner have worked with us so much. We love them dearly- my son is an active 3 year old and I knew play learning was it for him. The school feels like home and the staff is so loving- a lot of the staff have been there for years and that was huge for us- I didn't want my sons daycare to have a high turnover like his last one. My son knows how to count, write his name, and his imagination is SO crazy- he will grab a brown napkin and say "mom, lets pretend this is dirt for my monster trucks" I know for a fact that's ALL mulberry! my son comes home messy with paint on his face because today he was "Spiderman" and so happy, like every 3 year old should be. We love everyone at mulberry & I have no idea what I'm going to do when he outgrows this place. read more

This was the greatest thing I could have done for my little toddler! She has learned soooo much in just 6 months. I was hesitant because she was so small but there are 25 other kids in her classroom. Not a daycare feel at all. It's preschool for toddlers! What a great concept. She counts, says the days of the week, knows her colors, learned to serve and eat by herself. Takes full naps most of the time. She's learned to play with other kids well, being an only child. This school has great teachers, they are so friendly and patient and the front office manager handles all concerns asap which is awesome. Wonderful school! Both my children have been going here for 8 years ( preschool, Kinder & after school program).

The curriculum is awesome! But I feel the owner is a little to interested in the personal lives of the parents. She likes to know everything and to be involved, and I have noticed she will side with a parent if the parents are separated. She can sometimes tend to be an instigator. But she is very good with the children and she keeps the place organized and well ran. And the prices are great! read more

This is my second child there and I like it. My daughter is 2 years old and she is learning so much. Is not a Big school but that's the reason why is easier for the children to adjust and for the staff to know every child by name. It also made it so much easier for my 5 year old to adjust to kinder. I started bringing my toddler here for about a month now, and I have to say that we love it here. I had been looking for something like this for about 6mo, something close to home, something small and very personal. Other than the separation anxiety my toddler still goes thru, I'm not even out the door yet and the teachers/care takers have already diverted her attention and I can hear her talking and laughing. I love all the hands activities they do, and enjoy all the projects my toddler brings home to show us. They even help with potty training- my toddler had it down in about a week (the director even gave me a call back with an update). I especially like the genuine concern of the director, I can truly appreciate how she likes to be involved, and ask questions, like what we did over the weekend, or about what our child likes to do once we get home. I am thankful for teachers who want to be involved, ask questions, and express interests and concerns for my child. And the fact that my toddler wants to give her (and all her other teachers too) a hug before going home, means a lot to me. read more
