Our son can't wait to go to school the next day! It brings us so much joy knowing that he is excelling at such a high rate. What sets this school apart…read moreis its commitment to academic excellence while still nurturing each child as an individual. The teachers truly know their students and invest in both their educational and personal growth. The curriculum is rigorous and prepares students exceptionally well for high school and beyond. At the same time, the school emphasizes character, responsibility, respect, and confidence--qualities that are just as important as academics. Communication with families is excellent, and the administration is approachable, caring, and genuinely dedicated to the success of every student. The campus has a warm, family-like atmosphere where children are encouraged to challenge themselves while feeling supported. If you're looking for a private school that combines strong academics, high expectations, and a caring community, I highly recommend Carden Academy of Whittier. We are grateful to be part of such a special school.

It was important for me that my child was NOT another number, but an individual, with an identity. That my family would be known on a first name basis, and that her school would truly be " a home away form home"! Academics had to be strong, class size had to be small, campus had to be clean and in a nice area. Carden met all of these needs. Carden has helped me raise my daughter into a strong, intelligent young lady. She is more than prepared for her academic future! She carries herself with pride, can communicate well and has huge aspirations for her future..I know this school has a lot to do with all of the above! Thank you Carden!

When concerns are raised, communication is handled in a dismissive manner rather than through collaboration or dialogue. Parent input is acknowledged superficially, key points are bypassed, and agreements made at the classroom level are not upheld at the executive level. After receiving an assessment that did not accurately reflect our child's abilities (completed less than two months into enrollment), we raised concerns about the lack of context, narrative, and communication. The teachers acknowledged the assessment was not an accurate reflection of her capabilities and agreed it should be updated to reflect her short acclimation period and current capabilities. However, when this was escalated to the Executive Director, those agreements were disregarded. Rather than updating the assessment as discussed, leadership insisted on singling out a child instead of correcting an administrative misstep. Requests to simply revise the original assessment with accurate context were dismissed. When we expressed concern about the long-term academic implications of having an inaccurate student record, we were dismissed. The Executive Director superficially acknowledged our concerns, and reasonable requests were met with inflexibility rather than problem-solving. A school's culture is shaped from the top. If families are leaving, leadership may want to reflect on how parent advocacy is received and addressed.

The academics were rigorous, but what made Broadoaks truly special was the way the teachers and staff inspired children to rise to those expectations with confidence and curiosity. The students were not simply sitting at desks memorizing facts. They were encouraged to move, collaborate, play, reflect, ask questions, think critically, and problem solve. Learning was active, meaningful, and individualized. I honestly did not fully appreciate just how extraordinary Broadoaks was until my sons transitioned to public high school. It quickly became clear that the skills they developed at Broadoaks far surpassed those of many of their peers. They entered high school with strong time management skills, confidence, excellent communication abilities, critical thinking skills, and the ability to independently meet and exceed classroom objectives and expectations. Broadoaks prepared them not only academically, but as capable, thoughtful, and self-directed young people. Like many small independent schools, Broadoaks was impacted by COVID and continues to work toward rebuilding enrollment and community support. Unlike public schools, they do not have the same funding resources, which makes community support even more important. If you are looking for a school that truly values individualized education, nurtures intellectual curiosity, and develops confident, capable learners, Broadoaks is the place. In my opinion, Broadoaks represents the standard all schools should strive for.

My daughter has struggled with self-regulation issues in the past and has often been dismissed or labeled as "challenging," but the staff here has been incredible. They are genuinely willing to work with her while I manage outside support, which allows me to keep working without constant worry. I can't recommend Keystone Montessori highly enough!

So, my wife and I were looking for a daycare at the beginning of the year. We called a few places and ended up at Keystone. The old director called us back and invited us to check it out. He was super professional and nice, and still is. We went, and he told us all about the school, the curriculum, and programs (based on income) that could help. They'll seriously work with you however they can. So, we decided to give it a shot and enrolled our kids there. And honestly, we're still really happy with that decision. The staff is amazing. We first met Ms. Katrina. She was patient and understanding with our 2 year old, even with his tantrums. Still is. Ms. Marleni and Mrs. Laura both teach my eldest. They are both kind and understanding, while also being firm when necessary. My eldest has learned so much, and constantly ask when she will return to school, as she enjoys it that much. Since my children's enrollement, I have seen a dramatic change in their character. Curiousity shines on their faces. Intellectually, they have amazed me. Yes they are young. My 4 year old is reading, learning patterns and numbers. My 4 year old's cognotive reasoning and deduction up there. My 2 year old knows the alphabet. Counting out loud randomly and recoginizing various things. Vocabulary is up there. Word and picture association. I can't ask for more, but at the same, this school/daycare has pushed them to test those boundries. I can't wait to see how they continously grow and even after they age out, I feel and know they will have had a great experience in this facility.

From the very beginning, Eagles Nest has been a loving, nurturing, and professional environment where children are genuinely cared for and celebrated. The staff is highly educated, experienced, and deeply committed to each child's growth -- academically, socially, and emotionally. Their dedication shows in everything they do. Our daughter has flourished here. She is happy, confident, and excited to go to school each day. She has built meaningful friendships and formed beautiful bonds with her teachers, who have shown her patience, encouragement, and kindness every step of the way. The curriculum is thoughtful and engaging, and the special events they incorporate throughout the year truly make families feel involved and connected. What stands out most is the heart of this school. The teachers and administrators are willing to work closely with families, offering support and guidance through behavioral challenges or learning struggles with compassion and professionalism. They truly partner with parents, and that makes all the difference. As we approach her final year at Eagles Nest, we already feel emotional knowing she will soon be moving on. This school has been such a special and foundational part of her early childhood, and we are so grateful for the love and care they have poured into her over these years. We wholeheartedly and highly recommend Eagles Nest Preschool to any family looking for a warm, structured, and supportive place for their child to grow and thrive. Thank you, Eagles Nest, for helping shape our daughter's early years in the most beautiful way. I initially brushed it off, but over time he continued coming home with scratches, bruises, and marks on his body on a regular basis. Each time I asked about them, staff were unable to explain how they happened. As a parent, that was extremely concerning. I repeatedly brought my concerns to the staff and administration, but I often felt dismissed. I also asked Jennifer if I could review the camera footage, but I was told recordings were only kept for 24 hours and had already been deleted. Another concern was the lack of communication. When picking up my son, staff rarely provided updates about his day and often seemed rushed or unwilling to discuss concerns. Instead of feeling welcomed and reassured, I frequently felt uncomfortable and unheard. My experience left me feeling that my concerns were not taken seriously and that staff were more focused on defending one another than addressing legitimate questions about my child's safety. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this daycare for infants or children who are not yet able to communicate what happens during the day.
