Billy is the best! We had our wedding here in October and it was absolutely perfect! Billy is a good friend and very thoughtful host. The venue was perfect, the hospitality was welcoming and accommodating and we had the perfect day. All of our guests talk about how beautiful and comfortable it was. Friendly, cozy, pretty, and fun! Thanks Billy! We love this place.

Not open. Or not open any time we've ever been there, weekends included. They should take down their sign.

The reveiws looked great, so we made an 8:30 reservation for the following evening to celebrate my birthday. When we arrived the front area was packed, probably 20 people waiting for tables, one large group of 11. The two ladies working the front desk were clearly doing their best to keep up, but the restaurant was running behind. We ended up waiting just under 30 minutes, which honestly wasn't a big deal to us because we weren't in a hurry. While we waited, we overheard several guests complaining about the length of their wait. A few became incredibly rude and impatient with the girls at the front, which was uncomfortable to watch. They were doing their best, and we appreciated how they continued to handle the situations professionally. Once we were seated in Frankie's section, everything changed. You could tell she had already had a very long night, but she was still friendly, warm, and incredible attentive. She apologized for not getting to us sooner, although we felt she was great from the moment we sat down. She went above and beyond to make sure my birthday dinner was special. Unfortunately when my steak came out it was drastically undercooked and had to be sent back. She was immediately apologetic and handled it with such kindness and professionalism. She never made us feel like it was an inconvenience. Despite the hectic evening and issues they were dealing with, we ended up having a really wonderful dinner. We actually felt bad watching the desk staff receive so much rudeness from other customers. Sometimes restaurants have an unexpectedly busy night, remember to give a little grace. We heard the sunset views are amazing, but we missed them this time. We will be back, and hope to get Frankie as our server again! Try the coconut shrimp and NY steak! Yum!

There was ample space so everyone had a bed and it was spread out enough so the guys could hang out down in the pool room while getting ready and the gals could get ready upstairs. The view at the home is absolutely breathtaking and the hot tub perfectly overlooks the lake and mountains. All of the stunning views and scenery gave for some pretty epic and gorgeous photos to capture our big day. Josh and Blue Sky Events worked together to make everything run seamlessly the day of our wedding; even when the heater broke on the tent during the rehearsal dinner and the caterer's generator died before our food could be made the day of the wedding. Josh was there doing everything in his power to make things work and make our day great. He was clear on what rules needed to be minded and checked in with us throughout the weekend to make sure we had what we needed. He was always making sure everyone was having a good time and was a great person to hang out with too. Most wedding venues in Lake Tahoe make you use their caterers, don't let you do unique things like bring a late night munchie food truck or anything outside of their own packages and for some people that's great but for us, we wanted flexibility and Fjeldheim allowed that for us so we could have a day that was perfectly us.

If you're looking to spend a lovely couple of days in Lake Tahoe and need a place to stay, this is the place for you! Talk about paradise; look no further. Tahoe Mountain Home is a 9,000 square foot private vacation home that can house 30+ people easily. Sitting high above the lake, this property offers awesome views overlooking the lake. I recently came over the weekend with a group of friends and was able to discover all that this property has to offer. The house offered over eight bedrooms and sleeping for the entire guest, all the rooms come with their own name; honestly, I felt like I was in a mansion! My mouth dropped as I drove up the one-way hill to get to the house, the place is HUGE! There were different access ways to the entrance, a fabulous hot tub in the back of the house that fits 4-5 people comfortably and a big parking lot that fits over 10 cars easily. This place is exceptional! The house is located 5-10 minutes from all of the fun entertainment including the casinos, restaurants, and bars and lounges. We took Uber every night and didn't have an issue at all. Now, on to the BEST part, it was SNOWING the WHOLE.WEEKEND. I have yet to experience snow before, so this was not only fun for me but exciting! Now, driving in the snow was not exciting at all, trust me, but playing in it was FUN. On the last night of our stay, we received emails and news reports that there was a blizzard coming and that we may be snowed in. Okay, I became scared once I received the news, but that quickly changed when we had the housing manager come over. Josh is the 'housing manager' and the night I became very anxious about the snowstorm, he came over with his lovely dog and informed our group that we were going to be Okay. He discussed the weather and even asked all of us for our car keys while he plowed the driveway so we can leave much easier to leave for the next-day departure. Can you believe that he moved all 10 cars and plowed the driveway all by himself? OMG, bless his heart! After Josh left, my group advised me that Josh is a wonderful guy that comes throughout our visit to check in with us. I was so touched by the personal touch. This property, as well as Josh, deserves MORE than 5 stars! Yelp, we really have to work on expanding the 5 stars (emoji: smiles). I definitely would recommend staying at this property. I look forward to my next stay. Thank you, Josh, for your amazing hospitality during our stay!

The outside walk to the pool is the equivalent to those found in less expensive motels. The promise of a private beach for Landing guests is very misleading. Use of it required ticketed entry. No chairs or umbrellas except expensive rentals from another location (not available most times). OK, now the plusses. The staff including the new GM were welcoming and helpful. But the hit of our stay was the restaurant. Their cuisine was as good as any restaurant we've been to. Their chef produced absolutely outstanding menu choices and presentations. The waiter crew were friendly and professional with special consideration to Clay who made our evening meal choices memorable. Overall, with some needed structural enhancements to the hotel, itself, it would live up to its web description. Thank God for the restaurant.

We also have a friend who is a photographer and we haven't had professional photos taken since our wedding 18 years ago so we thought The Landing would be the perfect place since they host weddings here and it's right next to the beach. There are so many excellent parts to mention but I will start with the staff. From the moment we walked in, everyone was so friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. Our 15 year old had just passed and so our 12 year old was a little lost and loved all of the attention. She was treated just like one of the family. They even allow dogs on the free shuttle which is so perfect so we were able to go into the village and have lunch with her. It's a downhill walk back and so pretty, so we enjoyed the fresh air back. They upgraded our room and the views of the lake were perfect. It was so easy taking Juno out for potty breaks. It was extremely quiet and clean. The heated floors and toilets are a nice touch. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and it is the best meal I've had in Tahoe. The Venison is unbelievably tender and flavorful. My husband loved his homemade pasta with huge prawns. Our server, Kevin, went above and beyond to make the night special. They even let us take a few pictures in the bar area which I think turned out really cool with all of the bottles and colors in the background. Of course we all come for Tahoe! This place is right on a perfect spot. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, some trees and grassy areas also made for perfect pictures. We were there right at the start of Memorial Day weekend so it was extremely quiet and peaceful. I'm sure it will get busy in the height of summer but even then being able to walk across the street from your room makes it so convenient. We want to thank everyone at The Landing for a perfect trip! We can't wait to do it again!

We figured with lower overnight lows that we would just pop open some windows and it would be fine. We live in a house with no a/c and that works for us at home. We also got two swamp coolers for the rooms and a fan. What I hadn't factored in is that for safety, the windows only open a bit- maybe 1/4 of the way? And only one window opens in any given area. That meant that our room did not cool from the outdoor air very much at all the first night despite our best efforts. Things were somewhat better by the second night, but still quite warm. We could only sleep with fans pointed directly at us all night. The hotel is very clear about this limitation of their rooms, so I'm only deducting on star, but know whether this will work for you.

As I walked in, there was a musician setting up and the bartender greeted me. I ordered the banana bread latte iced with their house made banana bread syrup for my husband. That was my absolute favorite drink between that and the Matcha. I ordered the strawberry Matcha Americano and I think there might have been some confusion because I did order it iced but then said Americano so the bartender thought I wanted it hot. I told him not to worry about a remake and to just pour it over some ice because I don't like to waste. They say that they use a ceremonial Matcha. Being a matcha enthusiast, the color really wasn't there nor was the umami, but that's OK because what surprised me is that they actually make it in a bowl and whisk! While I wouldn't return for the Matcha, I would absolutely be back for coffee that has a house made syrup. We got it with oat milk and it was just divine. I found myself reaching for that drink more than my Matcha. Inside is very clean with plenty of seating and I love the live music aspect right when you walk in.
