We decided to grab a couple seats at the bar. We were first greeted by Kelly, who was incredibly friendly, had a great smile, and genuinely seemed happy to take care of us. Then Ben took over, and he was awesome. Super personable, easy to joke around with, and the kind of bartender who keeps interacting with guests even when he's busy. The staff alone is a reason we'd come back. Trivia isn't usually my thing, but we decided to join in anyway. It's free, energetic, and a lot of fun. There were probably around 25 teams playing, and Tom did a great job keeping the energy up all night. The questions start out pretty easy to build your confidence, then get progressively tougher. It ended up being a great time and the perfect way to spend our first night in Tahoe.

As I walked in, there was a musician setting up and the bartender greeted me. I ordered the banana bread latte iced with their house made banana bread syrup for my husband. That was my absolute favorite drink between that and the Matcha. I ordered the strawberry Matcha Americano and I think there might have been some confusion because I did order it iced but then said Americano so the bartender thought I wanted it hot. I told him not to worry about a remake and to just pour it over some ice because I don't like to waste. They say that they use a ceremonial Matcha. Being a matcha enthusiast, the color really wasn't there nor was the umami, but that's OK because what surprised me is that they actually make it in a bowl and whisk! While I wouldn't return for the Matcha, I would absolutely be back for coffee that has a house made syrup. We got it with oat milk and it was just divine. I found myself reaching for that drink more than my Matcha. Inside is very clean with plenty of seating and I love the live music aspect right when you walk in.

No where on the menu did it say it was topped with tons of chocolate chips if it did I would either not order it or ask for a chocolate chip free one as neither of us are fans of chocolate chips. In addition they did not use hot fudge. Instead of hot fudge they used chocolate sauce. It tasted like the bottle of heresy's you get at the grocery store. Later I noticed the table next to us also had a Sunday and they didn't have chocolate chips on theirs. When we got our check I asked the server about that and she said they have a new kitchen staff and.... Well, they lucked out on not getting their Sunday drowning in chocolate chips.
