This review is based on my meal only. The rest if my party had breakfast for dinner and raved about it. First I'd like to say that I do not enjoy writing reviews like this one. When a pace is clean, courteous, quick and friendly, then the one thing (the food), obliterates ones expectations, it's sad. I am a fan of really good Chili Rellano plates. I have a place that I go to regularly for theirs. I asked one question about the rellano, "Is it stuffed with queso fresca?" She said yes and added that theirs are "wonderful". Of course I was very happy to hear that. My first bite was tasty but it was only the breading and the sauce. It was every bite after that I had a problem with. The problem was the chili! It was nearly non-existent. Most if it was as thin as a single leaf of cooked spinach. I found one tiny piece that was 5-6mm thick, but the piece was only a few centimeters long. And the "Stuffed with queso fresca", I found one small bite, less than a tablespoon. Sorry folks at the castle, I have to be honest. You did great at cleanliness, friendly, service, speed, etc. but the rellano was the worst I've ever had. My companions breakfasts looked so awesome, I anticipate returning for some of that. read more

I am giving them five stars for the food and service. Just moved to the area six months ago and have been there three times. Unfortunately, the last time we went the manager/possible owner was reprimanding a new employee in front of us and I felt it was totally uncalled for. I was an office manager, and would never treat an employee the way he was, nor would I ever recommend someone in front of clients. She was doing her best to resolve the issue and make him stop. I waited a month before posting this because if I would have written it then it really would not have been nice. It took every thing in me to not interrupt him on her behalf. First and last time here for breakfast. Ask for crispy hashbrowns and done bacon. The bacon had been but in the deep fryer. The hash browns were almost burnt, no taste except crispy burnt potatoes. They were well done all right. The pancakes were so cold the soft butter wouldn't melt. Ordered chips and guacamole, the chips were so hard, only a few were eatable. It has been a long time since I first ate at Earl's, 2012 to be exact. We were in the area and thought we would give them a try again. In summary, not as good as the first time. Prices are very high, heck, fries with your pricey burger are $4? It appeared the only way to get a reasonably priced meal was to order one of the specials, I ordered the turkey dinner for 7.99, I believe it was over twelve bucks on the menu. The dinner came with stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and cranberry sauce. The mashed potatoes, gravy and, corn had little flavor. The cranberry sauce was straight out of a can, the stuffing was under the turkey and it was a mushy mess. The least favorite item on my plate was the turkey, it was random chunks of white and dark meat, not very well trimmed, not very appetizing laying on the mushy stuffing. The food was not very good, the service was mediocre, the prices are excessive, not much reason to come back. read more

It was late. Dusk had fallen upon the river. it's rank sewage stench coasted through the cracks in the street until it dispersed through the air and hit my nose. That was the first red flag. If you see this building, I'm sure you will, you can't miss it. It's yellow, purple, and shaped like a f***ing castle. Looks like it belongs to the f***ing Lakers. This was the second red flag. Don't be like me, do yourself the favor, and STAY THE HELL AWAY! This is bubblegut city; population: drain your wallet. The prices were outrageous. My jaw hit the table when I popped the menu open. I have a rather comprehensive understanding of capitalism, but when you're selling food that ranks below Denny's in quality and it's the same greased out, American diner comfort food but it costs more Benjamin's? Something has to be said. The water had a stagnate taste to it. Like they drew it from a trough out back or something. It made me kinda ill. I wouldn't let my dog drink this water. I would've rather died of thirst. This was the third and final red flag. I ordered a classic cheeseburger, with a side of $4 fries... yes they charge for fries. This wouldn't be so bad, had I not gotten 5 fries. No s****ing, I counted... I got 5 fries. I was also given two 3.5 pound bottles of Heinz Ketchup. Why would I need 7.0 pounds of ketchup for 5 fries? You tell me. Burger had barely anything on it. All of this tells me to never come back firstly, second it tells me they're stingy with their food supplies. 5 fries, and a damn near plain cheeseburger. I even got bored waiting for the check and counted the ice cubes in my glass, there was 2 cubes. Place is cheap, gaudy, dumpy, and prices don't reflect atmosphere. Stay far and wide away. Hop back in the car and head down to the road, you'll find a Denny's 5 minutes away. It's not much better, but for the same food, it'll sure be a helluva lot cheaper. read more

Earl's is consistently an awesome breakfast. It's a small place, but the service is always great. Whether we are a party of 2 or a party of 10, our food is hot and delicious. My personal favorite is the chiliaquiles, my daughter loves the (huge) pancakes, and my husband is always happy with his scramble and biscuits with gravy. Best of all, the prices are totally reasonable!! read more

We came to another restaurant on this street for bfast and they didn't offer a full bfast menu so the server actually recommended this restaurant to us instead. I'm so glad she did! I was craving a chicken fried steak and that's exactly what I got. It was the best one I've ever had. Nice and juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside. Went there with my sister and BIL for breakfast. Let's be honest, the place looks tacky as hell, a castle, painted purple and yellow. It looked like it was insanely busy on the outside, we almost left to look for another place to eat. We went in and were seated quickly. Sister had a "kids" breakfast burrito, it was good size for a kids burrito, I would guess 5" long and 4" diameter, she had half of it with her when we left. BIL had a chili omelet, looked good, he said it was good, he took a third with him when we left. I had a # 85 special, it was two eggs, two bacon, two sausage and toast or biscuits and gravy, I had the biscuits and gravy. I had no leftovers, but mine was a much smaller (normal size) meal. A friend told us about this place for it's great Mexican food. This place is a hole in the wall yellow and purple castle, that alone makes me vomit. We got there around 1:25pm. All tables were either occupied or empty full of dirty dishes. Staff arguing who is going to clean the tables. We sat at a booth semi cleaned. My wife got an Arnold Palmer and I tried a Bloody Mary. 10 minutes later drinks came and we ordered. It is now 2:05 pm and still waiting for our food and getting upset looking over at the tables that haven't been cleaned yet. At 2:15 pm we got up and left and was told no charge. A simple 12 minute order to make an Earl's omelette and a cheeseburger. I would report this to the board of health but they don't care. I suggest find another place to eat. read more

They have a wonderful variety of food. I initially was going to give them a 5. But I'm staying at a hotel while my house is being worked on. Pay attention to the menu. Some cooks don't know it. I ordered a chefs salad I'd seen a few days back. Was so strange no ham or eggs on it. So I figured it this houses chefs salad. It was good but not what I expected. To day I came back and noticed the menu does list ham. Made me mad. I order two again and they were made right but I was having breakfast and ordered my eggs over medium cause I get tired of clear fluid oozing out of my eggs and this seems to prevent that. So my medium eggs oozed clear egg whites! It's usually busy and they are fairly quick. And soooo much cheaper then eating at casinos if your staying in Laughlin. Staff are very nice. Hey y'all thanks for stopping to read my review. I wasn't going to post, but then I thought I had better rebutt the negative recent post. I'm a local and have lived in the area 38 years and go out to eat no less than twice a week. Even though Earl's is adding another 10 minutes to my dining commute, I most always choose Earl's if I'm staying on the AZ side. There is a laid back atmosphere. It's a sit anywhere ya like type place. They've got a full bar for your hair of the dog cure, which is already saying a lot more than Dennys has to offer! The staff is friendly, the prices are very cheap and the food is delicious! It's a Friday night must for the fish and chips special! Yum! Thier breakfast and burgers are very good, as well. Oh man! We wanted to love it!! The building is a big yellow castle with purple accents. How could it disappoint? Sadness... The waitress was super pleasant yet a little overworked. She was the only one working & was steady. The huevos rancheros were the special. Asked for eggs over medium. I was emphatic about the eggs. They weren't ..they were runny. But that's not the big problem...the Ranchero sauce was a can of tomato soup. It had no flavor, was pink and awful. The rice was over cooked and dry as sand. On the good side. The salsa was spicy and chorizo flavorful and not greasy. Sure wish we could have given them more good points but really not impressed. read more

Great Breakfast hideaway! Thank you yelpers for this. A hidden gem with cheap prices. Don't expect a whole lot from this greasy spoon. Staff is nice, but has a quirky attitude (which we dished right back). Good service... our coffee cup was always full. Hard as rock booths, so ask for a table if you want a little comfort. We came on a weekday and ordered the specials. I had the eggs and steak for like $4.99. My friend ordered the 86 special (?) I forgot the name, but it was dirt cheap.. $3.99 or somethng like that. There were 4 of us and I think we paid $25 with tax/ tip! Worth the drive if you're on the NV side... and just down the street is a Cheveron which I filled up for less than NV side. read more

Definitely a locals place, not hard to find and great food. It's small inside, they do have a bar off to the right when you enter the main door. They also have a patio for the outdoor enthusiasts...that could be interesting in July. You're food would never get cold that's for sure. Word of caution for anyone over 6 foot tall: Watch your head inside. Ceilings are extremely low and you'll scalp yourself if not careful! Staff was nice and service good. Earls is a local favorite and the prices are good. The burgers are good and the breakfasts are greasy and it reminds me very much of the truck stop food I ate as a kid (my dad was a trucker) so if that appeals to you this is your place. Be forewarned the place is filthy and the service can be incredibly slow, but there's a little bar in the place so you can drink and may not worry about that. Oh and the place looks like a castle. Trusted the other Yelpers and they were not wrong! This place looks a little sketchy but the food is great and the servers were just awesome. Had the meat scamble with sausage, bacon and ham. The ham was really good - not cheapo deli ham. Loved the fact that I could get biscuits and gravy as my "bread" along with hash browns. My wife had the huevos rancheros (thumbs up), my son had the corned beef hash and eggs (another thumbs up) and my daughter had the biscuits and gravy with two sausage patties (double thumbs up). We cleaned the plates and the bill was pretty reasonable. If I am passing by, I will definitely be back. Every worker here was friendly. I'm going to start off with the positive. They do have alright chicken fried steak though the batter could use a little seasoning such as salt and pepper to start. That is where my positive ends. Our waitress (es) 2 shared the whole floor and each table which was odd, never it rocked themselves to us and did not wear name tags, additionally, we were never seated; sat ourselves and waiting almost 10 minutes before someone noticed we were there. This is the low level of service we received throughout our meal. I even got hot coffee poured on me and my food. Not to mention the temperature in the building is unbearably hot (March mind you) and uncomfortable. The meal: I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes (since they had not prepared baked potatoes yet) and corn which was the "veggie" side. As I stated above the chicken fried steak was decent just lacking seasoning. The corn... frozen corn equals soggy and mushy. Now for the kicker... POWDERED mashed potatoe, no where did it say or was I informed that they were powdered prior to being served. Yep you read that correct. I took one repulsive bite and very nicely requested to change it out for the other option which was mac and cheese (no doubt from a box considering..) I was told to hold on while the waitress checked to see if that was "allowed" to which the response was "no sorry we can't do that". Ummmm are you kidding? The first rule of restauranting is replace an item that can't or won't be eaten. Nope, not here. Nor was any offer made to remove it from my bill. This would not be a problem if the meal was 7.99 or something along those lines, but 11.49 for sub part frozen and powdered food that they won't replace is just totally unacceptable. After reading several Yelpers' reviews, we decided to try this place. It's across the street from a public park and situated at the entrance of a mobile home park. When we entered, we were warmly greeted by the staff. The menu is quite large and very reasonably priced. We settled on two breakfasts for our sons which consisted of 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, 2 sausage links and toast. My wife and I both ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast. When it got to the table, the chicken fried steak was on one plate, the eggs and hash browns were on another and the biscuit and gravy was on a third plate: this plating was for each of us! The food was really tasty and well prepared: our pre-tip total was $35. We realized we spent more, about $45, pre-tip @ IHOP for breakfast the morning before, and for less food, quantity wise. read more

We had breakfast at this place and I am still reeling from the experience. Walking in, the dingy restaurant was half empty. We were seated in a uncomfortable booth and first thing I noticed, the table is sticky. Ugh! Then the waitress comes by, elderly lady, unkempt wearing dirty stained clothes. "I'll be right with you" stretched into 12 minutes. We ordered eggs, it took 25 munites to get our food. I mean, it's eggs, nothing fancy just eggs and potatoes.
