    Large rib tips
    Ilyce M.

I searched high and low for rib tips and finally found them. We drove from Denton and I fully expecting to be disappointed given rib tips are not standard TX barbecue. I was thoroughly surprised!! The rib tips were well seasoned and I could taste the smoke. They were tender and ample in size. I don't usually like BBQ sauce, but this was more sweet than spicy which is right up my alley. The sauce was thick and held on to the meat well, but honestly it wasn't needed. I ordered a large rib tip that I expected would come with bread, it did not. I asked for bread and the bread was not cheap. It was like Wonder Bread or Sara Lee!! The brisket was just ok for me...there's a lot of brisket in TX! Good bark, tender, all the makings of a brisket, just not a stand out. The sides were just ok, but on par with other BBQ restaurants. For me, I'd rather they do their main menu item very well! And from what I tasted, they do!! What would have made it a 5-star experience? A shorter wait! Yes, they warned me in the beginning and yes there are signs stating they make everything fresh but that model doesn't make sense. Nothing on their menu can be made fresh except fries, so a 45min wait is tragic.

Stopped by this place after leaving slick city. The customer service was good . I wish the cashier would've explained how the sides work with the plates . We tried the 1/2 smoked chicken - ok Fried catfish - good Coleslaw- best thing on the menu Bake beans- straight out the can Okra- good Hushpuppies - ok Potatoes salad - ok Green beans - straight out the can The restaurant is clean and someone comes to the table for anything additionally.

I love supporting BOBs! Especially ones that serve a delicious food and friendly hospitality! I tried the Mississippi style catfish, and it did not disappoint! I was not a huge fan of the tartar sauce as I was not expecting it to be sweet. I also tried the brisket, Mac and cheese; however, I felt like it needed a little bit more flavor. I also tried the green beans And same comment on flavor. I ordered my mom the rib tips to go with beans and potato salad, and she absolutely loved it! We will definitely be back to support!

After finding out the farmer's market was closed for the winter, we had to make our trip out to Frisco worth it so we found this place nearby and oh my goodness what a great find! Now we have our usual BBQ place but this definitely gave it a run for it's money and my boyfriend and I think that this might become our usual! Everything is made to order so when you get your food, everything is hot, crispy and prepped just for you! But before we dive into the food, let's just talk about the incredible service we had. Every single person that works at this restaurant just makes you want to come back the next day with how friendly and inviting they were. We even met the owner who was serving food, wiping tables and greeting people with a giant smile when they walked through the door. He welcomed us to the family and we felt right at home! Now, onto the food. I usually take better pictures than this but I was so eager to jump into eating so please excuse the mediocrity. When I tell you every single thing we ate was beyond our expectations, I am not exaggerating. None of the meat needed barbecue sauce (even though the bbq sauce is delicious!!) All cuts were seasoned so well! The ribs were moist and falling off the bone, the sausage had the right saltiness and bite, the brisket was moist, the catfish was fried to lovely crispiness with breading so perfectly seasoned, all the sides were enjoyed thoroughly and last but not least that was some of the best garlic toast I've ever had. At bbq restaurants it's usually just white bread either plain or barely toasted just tossed on there but that was really one of the highlights! So happy to be a part of the fam, definitely one of the best bbq restaurants and experiences I've ever had!

Sides were very good and tasted fresh. The gentleman that brought our food out was super friendly and nice. Two stars for these two points. This place is empty during lunchtime on a Saturday for a reason: it's extremely overpriced. The portions were very small and the meat itself was very fatty and parts were very dry. The loaded baked potato included cheese that wasn't real - it was Velveeta or a similar fake cheese product. There were three of us that dined here, and the total including tip was $75. Way too expensive to bring the rest of the family, especially as the portions aren't shareable. It could still be worth it if the food was good, but sadly it wasn't. I would also suggest that the lady taking our order be a bit more patient and nice. There was no one behind us, but she acted a bit annoyed to have to stand there while we made our order decisions. She offered no helpful suggestions, and never even cracked a smile. This location is right next to Frisco Fieldhouse, which usually has hundreds of people in and out most days. The fact that this place is empty is a shame. Ambiance is nice. The place is inviting and there are plenty of tables to sit at.

Earnest B's BBQ: A Carnivore's Dream Come True! My husband and I were craving barbecue, so we headed to Earnest B's--and let me tell you, Hutchins who?! This place blew us away. As BBQ connoisseurs living that carnivore life, we skipped the sides and went straight for the meat. And wow every bite was a masterclass in flavor. * Brisket: Moist, tender, and packed with smoky goodness. No sauce needed. * Ribs: Cooked to perfection with a clean pull and bold flavor. Juicy, not dry, and absolutely addictive. * Cheddar Jalapeño Sausage: Don't sleep on this one. It's spicy, cheesy, and unforgettable. The staff? Phenomenal. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Mr. Earnest himself came by to check on us--talk about intentional hospitality! You can feel the pride and care in every detail. If you think you've had great BBQ, Earnest B's will raise the bar. Go taste it for yourself--you'll understand why we're hooked.

This place came highly recommended and I see why. Nice clean establishment. Not super friendly but polite. My food came out in a sufficient amount of time and it did not disappoint. That is probably one of the best ribs I ever had. The sides were fine, I did like the potato salad. The beans were ok, basic. Great bbq sauce, although the rib was cooked so well it could go without. I'm glad I rode down the street and tried this place out!

Me. B was kind enough to drop off the BBQ catering himself for a work event hosted at my house. The team was still bragging on his food the next week! Fantastic BBQ experience. His ribs, both pork and beef steel the show. The brisket was outstanding. Family run business and their love for the food and experience always come through. Don't miss that cobbler to finish the meal. Chef's kiss!!! One of my clear favorites in the area. He does a cooking with Mr B. experience once every three months. My wife purchased it for Father's Day and I just did it this past Saturday. Walked through his process on each of the major cuts, and you get the opportunity to enjoy the labor of love along the way. Delicious again. Thank you, great time!

Looking for some downhome BBQ? Come on down to Earnest B's BBQ in Frisco! This barbecue synagogue is rich with history and smoke from it's owner Pastor Ernest B, to smokers just out back! The walls are filled with awards and pictures that reflect the love and commitment that is put into every dish! Mrs. Shirley took our order and showed the hospitality that the south is none for! Checking on us as we worked our way through the healthy portions of juicy bbq(I'm getting to that in a minute)! Tyler did the rounds at every table. Offering a little chit chat to every customer to ensure their experience is top notch! The customer service here is on point and natural! My bbq connoisseur got a 1/2 chicken with fries and green beans. Oh my LORD that chicken was so juicy! When you cut into the breast, the juices start flowing. It was seasoned without being overly seasoned and had the right amount of smoke(it didn't even need any bbq sauce. However, if you'd like to indulge Earnest B's bbq sauce is vinegar based, with the perfect balance of sweet and tangy( none of the harsh stuff, usually reserved for all things pork). The fries were fresh and hot and the green beans were nicely seasoned(although a little heavy on the vinegar for me). I went with the catfish plate and BOY! 4 catfish fillets seasoned and breaded beautifully! When I broke a piece open, steam came rolling out it was so hot! It was crisp on the outside and succulent on the end side! Baked beans were sticky and sweet, with a hint of tang on the back. Paired with creamy potato salad and it was a winning plate! Stop by Earnest B's for a plate and a word! CHECK IT OUT!!

We had a wonderful meal of smoked chicken, chopped pork, brisket, pork ribs and polish sausage. Very cool at atmosphere of all the accolades Ernest has received through the years and friendly staff. We left full, happy and relaxed. Grateful for family owned restaurants like this. We'll definitely be back for more and to try other offerings of meats and sides.

I had to write this review mid-chew lol I've never had brisket so moist and flavorful!!!! The smoked sweet hot bbq wings were delicious as well. But back to this brisket... I think I'm in love lol! I'm big on hospitality and they were very hospitable. I was acknowledged when I walked through the door and while I waited on my food Mr. Earnest greeted me with a warm welcome and handshake. The inside is cute and I enjoyed looking at all of the familiar faces on the wall. I'll definitely be back in the near future for the ribs and of course for a brisket fix.

This place is a hidden gem! The food is incredible, seasoned and prepared to perfection. With enough variety that they have something for every palate. I have never been disappointed with the food flavor, temperature or texture, always on point. Great location with ample parking and nice seating capacity for a nice size crowd. The best in Texas and without the hassle of waiting an hour outside.

The food was good, if not the greatest BBQ I've ever had, but the overall experience was much fun. The restaurant is in the form of a large barn with ample seating and a walk-through line where you can pick out your meat and then any sides and drinks you'd like. I enjoyed having the "conundrum" of trying to figure out which of the meats to try as they stare at you from the smoker, all saying, "Pick me!" My first visit to any BBQ place is nearly always to try the pulled pork, figuring that if they can't get that right, nothing else is likely all that good. That's not always true, but since pulled pork is one of my favorites, it's a good approach anyway. :) I took my platter laden with an abundant amount of pulled pork and then selected corn on the cob, cole slaw, a slice of custard pie, and a sweet tea. After paying, I made my way into the main dining area and selected a high-top wooden table along the wall that was, shall we say, very awkward to sit at based on how the stationary stool was positioned in conjunction with the table, so I moved to a nearby regular table that was just fine. There's plenty of outdoor seating, but based on the temperature that day, I chose to stay inside. Digging in, I found the pulled pork to be good, but it was a little dry and salty. The standard house BBQ sauce was good, though, and the corn on the cob was very nice. The cole slaw was about what you'd expect, and the custard pie was tasty, even if it wasn't the best I'd ever had. The sweet tea was excellent. What I probably loved most, though, was eating all this in that environment, with the Texas-American paraphernalia hanging on the walls and a radio station playing nothing but 80s and 90s country music over the speakers--the years when I loved country the most. I wanted a BBQ experience as big as Texas while I was here, and I got that. For that reason, my visit to Hard Eight was a hit, and I will happily visit again on a future trip.
